all I do is radiation zone. You don't need to do all that jazz. You run in butt ass naked with a screw driver and a lockpick, you lockpick a hazmat locker, you put it on, you loot everything else with your trusty screwdriver and lockpick. Once you are done you leave the zone, drop your stuff and take a swim in the lake, you drink loads of water and take iodine pills, boom you survived ARS. I make 2-300k a day farming this place. - Honestly reached a point where I feel invincible if the trader sells weapons, because the money is so good that i'll just buy the guns I want fully kitted instead of farming them.
Just found 2 MP5 SD's in police stations. Before the update the Quonset huts and hangers at the B2 airport was my go to place for loot. I'd also visit the boot camp and Naval yard. Since the update and the loot rework the police stations are my go to place for guns. I haven't even made it to the boot camp or the Naval yard yet. I did sell all of my old generators and found a new one. I definitely uses less fuel. Haven't been to the radiation zone except for driving close to see what it looked like. I thought part of the city was outside of the radiation zone. Found out different when I got close on the south side and was getting radiation present. I left and haven't went back.
thankfully the new zone is pretty low radiation presence so if you want to go explore it no radiation suit is required for a couple of hours tour as long as you eat and drink before you enter and have alot of soap when u leave....It is a bit of a maze.... i drove past the band rotunda next to the ferriswheel 3x before actually finding the ferris wheel..... if your going to the plant its a different story the radiation is much higher and you wont last long. I suggest walking in with a crowbar and hitting the lockbox in the coolant storage building.... If i leave with radiation presence, go to a river out of the radiation zone drink water till stomach is full and then wash clothes and gear "PEEing" every time it hits 51%.... ive survived intense exposure from radiation just by doing this
For a game that's striving for realism how is it that a flowing river in the radiation zone the water is contaminated but, just across the radiation line it's magically safe to drink? Since the locks have been changed on the radiation lockers I'm considering going into the B1 bunker and get a hazmat suit. I'm only planning on visiting some of the new city. I figure I'll change from my current gear to gear that can be discarded if necessary. I'm not going there to focus on looting. I'd just like to check it out and see what it looks like.
Yeah thats another way but I find it easier to hover over and decontaminate all items until the option no longer shows. Least you got a solid visual that way before contaminating the base
maybe you can answer this, because i dont find anything about it online; i was in B4 at the coastline (Murvica) and i got hit by a puppet. after this i got "radiation present" condition, it went from 0.1 to 0.2 and healed on its own. at the same time the wound contidtion was "external pathogen contamination". are those related? all items i had with me were not radioactive. do random puppets spread radioactivity?
Hi, so if your stuff is contaminated only in the 0 to 4 siverts region it will decontaminate on its own. Also stuff in chests will not contaminate. You can place contaminated stuff on the ground and wait so you see what you need to DC with soap after a while.
I'm playing on a private PVE server. The mechs are disabled, loot is increased, gas is cheap, hopefully pretty soon the nights will be back short like before the update. Approx 1 irl hour. Puppets was increased. I'm not sure what they are now. Oddly enough my biggest complaints about the game now are that the antibiotics degrade way too fast and the weeds in the garden. I gave up on gardening until I decided to plant 24 plants last night. I wasn't going to but, I wanted some tomatoes. Then I decided I might as well plant some weed, 2 types of pepper and a few other things.
Cheers Ray , not that I'll ever go there as a single player (risk outweighs the reward atm, I'll go there if there are missions and it's worth the risk).
great video :) did I miss where you said where to get the suits or didn't you mention it ?? I also like the new intro very much and btw a big thank you for the informative videos ;)
Amd washing anything takes way too much soap. Devs should honestly reduce the amount of soap required. At least for just dirty items if not for irradiated also
Inside regular bunkers, in the medlabs, one lab will have a rad locker with a suit, mask, and potassium iodide l, the locker in C2 bunker has a very difficult lock but always has modern suit and uranium storage container. The rest have easier locks with old suits (small chance for modern suit) never seen the containers spawn in the old lockers though.
No. Parked right by the nuke plant no vehicle radiation and nothing in the vehicle storage was irradiated. If you take something out of storage and put it on the ground it might get contaminated though.
I got an empty blue water bottle and filled it with radiated water and left it on the counter at the trader. Someone took it lol. Ha! I do this with Gasoline all the time. I fill all sorts of containers with Gas. Love this game!
why the developers made on the map charakter heading position view from a arrow look to a red dot ?? does it give a special reason because of that ??? i know it is until now more than one year so, but anyway..., because the question is still there... i literally burn for your answer !!!
See, I don't get it. It's just too complicated for what you get to go into the radiation zone. The rad suit already limits the amount you carry so much, that would be very well enough punishment for what you can get in the zone. But then I also need to wash everything, etc.pp.blablabla. Why would I go there and not just get the same stuff out of just any non-radiated bunker? It's bad game design, sorry to say.
@@MrBarabin8 So far it seems the new NPCs will only be at the functioning bunkers (humans) or the abandoned bunkers (puppets), so I doubt it. And if they will also come to the rad zone, then probably just as additional dangers, which will make the rad zone even less attractive from an efficiency standpoint.

Where’s the hazmat lockers
That intro was fucking awesome.
Thank you!!

Thanks dude!
Thanks for covering this topic. Great content!

While you're washing, you can turn on the Geiger counter to double check and make sure you got all the radiation off.
Yeah thats another way but I find it easier to hover over and decontaminate all items until the option no longer shows. Least you got a solid visual that way before contaminating the base
@RayKit you probably already know but with the Geiger Counter turnes on you get a lil nuke symbol when hovering over contaminated items also

This shouldn't have happened no. Only in the radioactive zone.
I've been irradiated from eating olives in the vinyard a sector away so something is squirly with how the radiation works IMO
all the game need to be in rad zone looks so cool

Yeah when decontamination period comes after rad zone just highlight items and see what needs decontamination. Even compasses need it i think
Irradiated water could be nice surprise for any thirsty raider. Not sure whether anybody drinks during raid.
Don't drink the water xD I learnt the hard way haha
@@RayKit I mean leave it in your base. Any raider who would be thirsty... you can imagine the picture.
Is this a good time to get back into scum? Haven’t played for a couple months now.
Yeah, I mean.. its whatever your into and like from a survival game. Its brutal but rewarding depending on what server you play on.

The Southern border of the zone that has radiation is the yellow bridge in the sector. So, not the whole sector is radiated.

Hi there! Does ur car getting affected in anyway by rad? If so, how is it supposed to be DC tho?
Needs mentioning that repairing your rad suit takes a LOT of duct tape.
Yes it does! Too much
Amd washing anything takes way too much soap. Devs should honestly reduce the amount of soap required. At least for just dirty items if not for irradiated also
Wondering how 3Months in a Row I’ve been Gifted Raykit Memberships lmfao. They just keep coming aha
Aaaay nice! you can come watch the member streams also :P
Would of been nice to know where to find rad suits and mask?

Does your vehicle get radiation?

LMAO! Savage! I like it haha!
car in the zone?
❤
A SkidillyBopBop-aDiddleDoe !
Didn’t you just chug water from a radioactive fountain and wonder why you were dying? You should be making how to die videos. 😂😂
lmao! I did but then explain to me why when I drink from bottles i find nothing tends to happen?? Scum logic there.
sup ray, can you do a tutorial on how to lose character fat? 🎉🎉
Keep food meter between 50 and 80% and exercise. Push a wheelbarrow full of logs around a lot, even when your stamina is 0% keep pushing

unfortunately I agree. its very cool but from a gameplay POV pointless.
I think this place will be more relevant when npc's comes..lot might change also

Wife and I play a lot of SCUM, and everything we do is because it's fun and challenging. The loot is just a side bonus. 😊
