I’ve tested yellow, black and purple on these cars.. polish bullitt purple / black / black is a fair combo. With purple bottom/ yellow upper mount I noticed no wheelhop but slightly more comfortable than black upper. But black ok also.. I have all purple setup on mine and all sweet.. love the polish bullit videos , top bloke… these are best for street setup
I installed the PowerFlex bushings on my lower trans mount (dog leg) and the upper engine mount. I went with the yellow "street" versions. Got rid of wheel hop AND my clutch engagement was vastly improved. No NVH issues at all as expected. BTW, my car is a 2020 Veloster N with the power package and of course a 6MT.
Nice video as usual. I knew it wouldn't be long before you caved in and did the other two...lol. Well worth the effort IMO. FYI no lube on the upper and trans inserts. You want them to be as solid as possible and not move independently from the OEM bushings as much as possible for full benefit. If they don't slide in when installing you can use the old dish washing liquid soap trick.
Yeah you guys kinda forced me haha Hmmm that’s strange cause upper mount came with grease so I thought you have to put it on the insert itself 🤔 oh well it’ll be fine 😉
@@PolishBullitt Even stranger my upper didn't come with grease and the instructions don't mention it either. Definitely not on the trans insert for sure. Anyway not like it will cause any real harm. Sucks to see you deal with modding in that parking lot with a limited tool set! I remember back when and it was a total pain in the ass. Also I am a huge fan of the right tool for the job. The right tool turns a 2 hr job into 20 min. Hope you can get a house with a nice garage someday soon. Hell if you weren't 800 miles away I would offer up my garage and lift anytime. I miss those Saturdays/Sundays modding with friends and helping each other. Bonus...BBQ and beers after was always a fun time.
Haha I know man hopefully everything clears out in near future and I can finally get a house with a nice garage and start my tool collection 😉 You said 800 miles away where do you live brother?
@@PolishBullitt Hopefully for you. So nice to just have everything within reach. Been building a tool collection for almost 50 years and still keep adding....it never really ends but at least I am at the point of tools I always wanted and the needed ones anymore. Just finally fully completed changeover from air cordless tools. I am in Northern New Jersey.
@richm658 that’s what I was expecting somewhere around New York area 🙂 yeah I would love to have nice tool collection and have fun with my car at my own place, but no worries it will come, so far my plan is to buy a house next year so fingers crossed 🤞 😉
I would recommend some spline style lug nuts for your after market wheels. they allow better clearance so you don't scratch your wheels with a socket. also make sure you have hub rings, if needed, for safety.
Those rims don’t need hub rings cause they got perfect 67.1 hub bore and you are right about the lug nuts that’s why I’m rocking N75 aluminum lug nuts 😉
I just installed the same setup. Purple down, black, black. Vibrations are present at idle on normal mode, not in N and Sport, also I can hear the engine more while accelerate. Definitely no wheel hop whatsoever.
@@PolishBullitt I will give a chance, it might settle down, or wil go yellow or purple on the upper engine mount. That's the one transferring most of the vibrations and NVH
I bought some "oem" style mounts from Amazon and filled them with liquid polyurethane let them sit for a few days and did the black rear power flex bushings and its sturdy as hell 😅and best of all cheap
Your mobile tire guy should have warned you on the tuner wheel lug nuts requiring a thin wall tuner socket. I didn’t know either until my local tire shop informed me so now every time Hyundai does service I lay it in the seat and inform them it’s required. I was scared of going with the purple on lower from past vibrations on urethane cab bushings on 4x4s and on a few occasions still got some hop but it’s been about 9 months now and haven’t had any more . It’s all rated on a Durometer scale for urethane hardness and any color will be an improvement over stock.✌️
It was a shop who did my wheels not the mobile guy, but yeah nobody told me, I guess it would be in my interest honestly to make sure I have a good socket but I didn’t check haha I’m really happy from my bushing setup so far 😃
Just installed the top mount (black) and I have the whiteline rear mount havnt tested it since couldn’t really take off aggressively but drove it couple blocks top mount wise I didn’t notice any difference yet lol the rear mount for sure 👌🏼 been rocking it 3 months now
I just recently replaced my black top mount bush with purple because the black caused a ridiculous amount of vibrations. The Yellow top mount bush has actually been discontinued due to tearing itself apart. I also went purple everywhere else for the same reason. Would not recommend black on a daily driver. Also for the top bush only grease the insert not the outside of the bush itself or it will rotate and destroy itself.
That’s a good advice brother honestly I thought you use grease like on the other ones so that’s what I did 😉 but if it comes to vibrations I can barely feel anything more then only using a purple lower bushing 🤔 and yeah I heard about yellow ones falling apart unfortunately 🙂
@@PolishBullitt It's really only felt in Normal mode at low RPM when parking for example. If you use Sport or N most of the time you likely won't notice the extra vibrations with the raised RPM. Could be a manual vs DCT thing. I noticed in my DCT on the highway you could really feel it lugging in the higher gear which is probably normal but more pronounced with the stiffer bush.
@andywiththen ok ok I see, mine is a DCT also and even in low rpm I can’t feel the difference. I hope I got my bushings right haha but everybody is different so no worries I’m super happy with mine so far 😃
I would say black upper was a minor increase to NVH but feels best driving. Also yellow was not discontinued, it didn’t destroy itself, it just moves out of position easier, spins itself on the sleeve.. purple adds no more NVH and retains its fit
Just installed the purple lower mount bushings and purple top mount bushing. The 17 mm bolt underneath was a pain lol. Trying to figure out if the transmission mount will be worth it if I get it later
Yeah that freaking 17mm man I didn’t have the right socket for it haha I think at this point if you got most of them done you can go with one extra to complete your puzzle 😉
They help with your car feel and performance cause your engine doesn’t flap around like it does on stock bushings and of course they basically prevent all wheel hop
There’s a good video by my buddy N automotive check it out he shows how to lift Elantra N out of the ground and where to put jack stands 🙂 ruclips.net/video/9ojH73yg2Ws/видео.html
Yep. I've got all those installed on my EN. I lovem. Its another level with the driving. A must get.
Yeah definitely worth it 😃
I went with the purple Trans Mount and the Yellow Motor Mount. These bushings are for sure worth it 👍💯
100% I really like that setup 😃

Yeah it feels good ngl, thanks for watching my videos brother 😆

That’s great to hear brother, all of our N cars should have those from factory just way too much wheel hop with stock bushings 🫤

@dacei yeah break them in first and see what’s up and if you don’t like it just buy a softer one
I can't wait to get my power flex bushings installed soon
Let me know I can help you out 😉
@@PolishBullitt I may do that at this point🤔
@klasseact6663 no problem brother, we can find a nice Saturday or Sunday and do it together 💪🙂

Got my lug nuts off Amazon so they had the socket and adapter included .
@robertf9521 yeah I was thinking about buying maybe something in black but idk yet 😉
Good video brother. I thought you were installing the front lip splitter 😊
That’s probably going to be my next one 😉
Just installed the top mount (black) and I have the whiteline rear mount havnt tested it since couldn’t really take off aggressively but drove it couple blocks top mount wise I didn’t notice any difference yet lol the rear mount for sure 👌🏼 been rocking it 3 months now
Nice brother it will definitely help with wheel hop I hope there’s not too much NVH 🙂

No need to support engine when doing upper engine mount but must with transmission
What ft-lbs did you torque your lug nuts to on your wheels?
I talk to my discount tire guy and he said 90lbs cause that’s what they did when I change my new wheels
bro where did you get front & back yellow trim? it looks sick!
I wrapped it myself 🙂
What do these mounts and bushings do in terms of performance? Does it make the ride smoother?
They help with your car feel and performance cause your engine doesn’t flap around like it does on stock bushings and of course they basically prevent all wheel hop
Where is the exact spot you put the jack stand?
There’s a good video by my buddy N automotive check it out he shows how to lift Elantra N out of the ground and where to put jack stands 🙂 ruclips.net/video/9ojH73yg2Ws/видео.html
The new Hyundai forged wheels featured on the 24 Elantra N really look like they belong.
Honestly anything lighter then stock wheels on 22’ and 23’ belongs on that car haha
They're not new. Been around for 4 years

Hell yeah 💪😃
