Wire ties are also really good to use to secure your pedals. I use both 3M Lock and wire ties and my pedals never move, especially when in direct sunlight where the sticky stuff can sometimes lose some of its hold.
Yeah, for sure. As this it just for a studio board (no touring) velcro works great. But for more heavy duty applications 3M lock seems like the popular choice ; )
The Quad 4.2 should have enough space to house most power supplies. (I'm currently using two Joyo JP-04's with this one.) Yes, I'm actually about to re-build my studio board ATM. So I'll hopefully have some more content on this soon! But you can see my old one here: ruclips.net/video/GaArs1d3oSk/видео.html
You don't need trs cables for stereo pedals. You need 4 patch cables instead of 2.They have to have small plugs. Most standard size cables plugs are too big for stereo pedals.Did you not understand my question?
@@stevechance4422 Sorry, I thought you were referring to pedals that use a single stereo output. Yes, these work well for seperate left/right outputs where the jacks are close together.
Yep, I can fit two rows of 7 on mine. However, I'm using flat EBS cables to make this work. Check out this video: ruclips.net/video/GaArs1d3oSk/видео.html
Do you know if the Rockboard flat patch cables are the same size as the EBS cables? EBS are the flattest I’ve ever seen but they’re more expensive. The Rockboard cables look to be about the same size, maybe a bit bigger. I’m talking about the width, not length.
Hey! Yep, I've used both... I'd say they're actually quite similar in terms of size. The EBS cables have a rounded top and the housing is probably a touch shorter. But in terms of width, I'd say both would be interchangeable in any tight-squeeze situation. Hope that helps ; )
Those RockBoard patch cables are the best I have ever used.

I just ordered the Quad 4.2 with an ABS case. Thanks for the review.
No worries! I hope you like it ; )
Which power supply did you attach? Did you do a video where you build it, as the title indicates?

Will the patch cables work with stereo pedals??
No, not the standard ones. You need 'TRS' patch cables: www.rockboard.de/en/cables-and-connections/flat-trs-cables

Ok.Thanks.
I think this pedalboard is enough for 14 Boss metal zone or Tc electronic Flash back delay size pedal ,right.

I've got miniature hot water bottles for my pedals to keep them toastie at night.
Awesome! Don't forget the mini sleeping bags ; )

@@lukezecchin yea it helps a lot. You confirmed my suspicions.
I’ll be ordering a lot of these as well.
Thanks!
Would you reckon an MXR iso brick would fit under the board? It’s about 3.5 inches tall. Cheers!
Hmm... I'm not sure that would fit, sorry. The height from the back is about 7cm tall. Hope that helps. Cheers!
@@lukezecchin thanks mate, that’s a big help
