She didn't come here thinking everybody would be in deep struggle of economics. Actually I would like Cut to do one of these episodes where everybody wants to spend the money for projects or luxurious items instead of bills. Because when people with heavy bills come forwards, people with projects basically don't stand a chance. And I'm saying this thinking the previous episodes
@@Cankalay that would be hard to find people that are more financially sound to want to do these videos. ya they could go on instagram or wherever they ask for people but in general I think they have the casting calls from viewers that more often than not would be in more financial struggle to do these videos.
I love her and she deserve the money because shes not throwing herself a pity party and shes very sweet and generous. it'd be much better if there wasn't some moral dilemma each episode and they just did some games to win
Yeah I'd give it to her just because she's also the clearest about how she's gonna spend this money. This is after all for the wedding and most seem to not have a clear plan due to the job losses tbh.
Yea I would have chosen her because she knows what she wants to do with the money the other girls didnt have a list like she did so they could use it towards other stuff
she understood that this is really just a game and took it in a fun and entertaining way. Even gifting a wedding dress was so unexpected and really thoughtful
I work with Lisa and that dress she brought in was a NEW DRESS that she had gotten as a frontline worker! Can’t believe the other girls didn’t want it even tho they want the money. Lisa was trying to be generous 🥺
She was so sweet this entire episode, send her all our love she was brilliant! They should’ve took her dress it was such a lovely offer who wouldn’t. Bless her heart she is such a sweetie, glowing smile on her face the whole time
Personally if it was me I’d respectfully decline because picking a dress that is perfect for you specifically is an important part of the wedding planning, someone one day will love that dress?
Lisa is my mom!! She is very into the community and is apart of many organizations that give towards the community. One of her most involved group works with keeping food out of landfills ❤️❤️ She is very happy about all the comments, thank you for being so kind! -Ella and Lisa
No one wanted the dress, but they definitely could’ve used the fabric. That was really nice of Lisa. I see a lot of comments about people shouldn’t get married if they don’t have a lot of money, but most people who want family and friends to come, a dress, and a venue will have to spend quite a bit even if it’s on the small side.
That’s a dumb thing to say. You can have a wedding without a lot of money. It’s 2021, why are people still acting like all weddings are straight out of 27 Dresses or something?
I got married on a beach in Bermuda and spent around 5k. I don’t think you need that much money… you can just do it and have a party later when you can actually afford it.
Lisa was literally giving away a dress and none of them would even take it? when theyre literally there for money/help for their wedding? strange behaviour
@@livelaughloathe why? Not like the marriage ended at the wedding while she was still wearing the dress. You can have a brand new dress and still have a failed marriage.
I hate to be judgmental, but “I don’t work, my partner doesn’t work and nobody can help us” sounds like they need to reprioritize their lives and get married when they can figure out finances. What are y’all going to do, live in a box together happily in love?
Lisa’s wedding dress was actually so beautiful I would’ve taken it lol Also, if you and your partner are unemployed a wedding should be the last thing you’re thinking of.. 🤷🏽♀️
agree with u! some ppl try to say it’s classist but if u can’t afford a wedding just get married at the courthouse? it’s what my husband and i️ did and now our life is good and we never worry about money lol
it’s kinda ridiculous how they were pretty much all judging Amy for being engaged young and trying to get married young because when you do the math almost all of them got engaged at around the same age as Amy give or take a bit. at the very least they’ve basically all been with their partners since they were teenagers or very early 20s.
It’s less judgement and more about advice. Being married and being in a relationship (even if it’s a relationship for 20 years) are way different. You can just break up with someone but when you’re married, you need a divorce and for both parties to agree and splitting of assessors and kids (if you have them). It like the court/government is in your business when you’re married but only fb friends and family are in your business when you’re in a relationship.
I mean sure, but it isnt the same when you get engaged and get to marry soon, that being engaged for YEARS and not being able to or even have canceled your wedding before for financial reasons
Lisa was so sweet! I can’t believe no one even took the dress, especially if they were all struggling so much, they didn’t even have to wear it, they could’ve sold it or reused the fabric
So many people saying this like they're ungrateful for not taking the dress 🥴 in theory we imagine it's easy to "just" sell it or "just" reuse the fabric but in practice it's a lot of work, time, and effort, and in the case of reusing it or tailoring it, it can also mean money. It's more work than it's worth if you're not accepting the dress to wear yourself exactly as is. And it seems they all have a lot on their plate already. Not to mention if you are wanting to have a wedding at all, you probably want the opportunity to pick your own dress because that's a very special part of it. Whatever the budget or whether you're buying it brand new or second hand, you probably have something in mind and it's just not worth the effort to take someone else's stuff if you don't even want it. She was being generous, but they were well within their rights to decline.
@@artemuycaro selling it would be so easy. You can post virtually anything on something like facebook market, or thread up, and it goes. Especially wedding dresses. I've sold so many things online I didnt expect people to want. It does not take alot of effort to do that.
Jamie seems so sweet, at least she was honest with her situation, I feel like some of the other people were not totally honest, and were guilt-tripping others into sympathy.
RIGHTTTTT?. am sorry but its just so hard to believe, like they all seem so passionate to get married despite the fact that they all not financially stable for that, and yet their husbands are not being part of the financial cost? nor any family from both sides are able to help? that is a very helpless situation and if this is really really the case then, the best answer should be to wait it out or do a really cheap court house wedding. I dont mean this in a bad way and am sure they all deserve a beautiful wedding.
I am surprised nobody was rooting for Malena she was the only one out of the top 3 that didn’t tell a sob story and seemed ready to have a wedding with both her and her partner working.
thats the whole premise of the game. you tell your situation which increases the chance of winning. ricki and andys situation were both valid and was a key element to their reasoning of participation.
I’m confused. Why would you root for Malena if she didn’t drastically need the money as much as the other 2? “Sob stories” are literally the point of the game. It’s weird that people in the comments are mad that the people who _really_ needed the money got it 😕
Think this sadly applies to the majority atm. I understand it can be purely accidental but it applies towards having children too. Maturity as a whole seems vary scarce these days.
thanks for saying this, they don't have job, is in financial difficulties but are ignoring that and putting all that money (pretty sure they'll take loans too) into planning a wedding
I like Lisa's energy ! she understood that this is really just a game and took it in a fun and entertaining way. That list and gifting a wedding dress was so unexpected and really thoughtful
The premise of 1000 to 1 is fundamentally flawed. It ALWAYS devolves into a pity party of who's life sucks the most. It would be fun and cute if they were all relatively stable just frugal and wanted a little extra money to throw something creative or silly into the wedding, like Lisa. Instead there's always one or two who's entire lives are falling apart and they win by default. Maybe that's the meta point Cut is trying to make but it's disingenuous at best, exploitative at worst.
Whoever is willing to throw their pride away and tell the world their life sucks will win $1000. It’s entertaining to an extent but yeah they need to get more people like Lisa.
Agreed that it’s exploitative. $1000 is clearly a significant amount to the people on these videos, but it’s not actually that much money considering how these contestants are putting themselves in a pretty vulnerable situation by sharing intimate details of their lives and struggles with the internet. As a viewer, I don’t really find it entertaining either since it’s the same thing every time.
Lisa is the only sensible one not playing pity party. She seems like a wonderful person. I've been together with my wife for 10 years married for 8. Got married at 20 years old and just went to the courthouse and turned in the paperwork and paid the $62 licensing fee. YOU CAN MAKE IT WORK IF YOU WANT IT TO.
If I was broke i would have definitely taken Lisa's dress, would have tried to wear it, but if it didn't work would have definitely used it somewhere else. What a kind soul she is.
@@babywolfg exactly i wasnt trying to be shady but with andys situation my thought was instantly " 7 years still engaged, your boyfriend isnt trying that hard to marry you " Same with ricky i was thinking " having a mental disability makes your original choices unreliable its a life changing event that might change how you felt before so her partner might not want marriage now either especially with depression." I wouldve given the money to a more stable sounding couple.
let’s be real, $1000 is NOT enough for even the most basic wedding. It’s not enough for mental health resources. It can pay rent for a month or groceries for a couple months. It’s definitely not enough to throw away your dignity in my opinion. Yes it’ll help I’m sure but if you have all of these other more serious things to pay for, a $1000 wedding should be the least of your priorities.
Out of the final three, Malena should’ve won. She seemed like the only one out of them who is actually ready to get married responsibly. And she wasn’t throwing a pity party.
Not even trying to be rude, but I felt like Ricki and Andy didn’t need the money (in regards to the wedding) Just based off of their circumstances a wedding seems like the last thing they should be thinking about until they can become somewhat stable. Like I just feel like their priority should be their financial situation first.
I mean a wedding dress is a sacred thing for some people and to just accept a random dress on a cut video takes away the sentimental part of it. Then again most of these women were saying they were struggling w money, I dont see why they wouldnt have taken it..
I wouldn’t want to get married in a stranger’s hand-me-down either though. Especially one that I met under this circumstance. I feel like it takes that special feeling away from owning your own. I understand getting married in a hand me down dress from family, friends, or someone who is close to you. But that dress looked really basic, and worn out to begin with. A lot of people are saying in the comments that someone could have taken it, in order to sell it, if they were that broke, but I feel like that would be even more deceitful and disrespectful to Lisa. It was a very sweet gesture though, and I’m glad she still brought it to offer, because in theory someone could have been glad to take it. But I completely understand everyone else’s reaction. Plus, I found it kind of cringy and low key rude that she put the veil and dress on top of other girl in the middle of her talking and explaining herself. That’s just me though.
@@leannawashington1509 that's fair, tho correct me if I'm wrong but Lisa bought the dress brand new just for the video and she said herself in the video that they could sell it or use the fabric for something else if they wanted. It's not that big of a deal I just felt a bit bad for Lisa cus she seemed a bit disappointed that no one wanted it which might've led to the veil situation but idk
It’s because they were trying to win the money at this point and taking the dress would have gotten them eliminated. If Lisa really wanted to be generous she should have gifted the dress after the end of the game.
I would’ve given Malena the money. If we’re being honest, the other two shouldn’t be focused on a wedding since they’re financially incapable to have one, they should be focused on bills not a wedding and Malena is focused on a wedding which is what the money is used for.
Maybe the financially broke ones were planning to use the money (if they won) on essential goods even though they talked about a wedding. Maybe they r smarter than we think 😅
@@ぼじん-o5r Honestly, that's what I was thinking! I'm thinking it's probably not gonna go to the wedding, but basic necessities and I'm totally okay with that
Lisa was so sweet! She had a massive smile on her face the entire video and her list with the things she wanted to buy was very funny! I loved her personality, just pure and adorable, imo.
The pity party at the end… I can’t. My parents waited 25 years to get married because they prioritised important things- like a roof over their head, children, quality of life. It’s not the end of the world to not be married (especially when she said her partner already has 2? Families). The other person- if your partner has that severe mental health issues maybe focus on that rather then getting married? Put any money you have towards them getting better and spending quality time together. A wedding is one day. Save the money for time away from stress.
I find it wild how people will go into dept for one day. I'm not ever getting married, my partner and I don't need a contract to prove that we love each other, nor do we need to spend thousands to prove anything to our families. We will use our money to travel together, explore and actually LIVE
To imply that they are not focusing on their partner mental health is really rude. Ricky already said they didn't work so how could they fix that? They also specifically did not vote for Andy because they needed the money outside a wedding. The point of this was who should get to use the money for a wedding, hence the "brides to be" theme.
Completely agree with the second part. And also, airing out your partner’s illnesses like that online forever?! Everyone knows a wedding comes with great amounts of stress so, I don’t see why a wedding would help her partner get better…!
If they didn't take the dress from lisa ( for free ) and they're really picky about it Then I think they don't REALLY need the money Lisa was so sweet and generous
I grew up poor and am still very much poor and I would take that free dress in a heartbeat if I was getting married. My only hesitation would be while I was still actively in the competition... I think I would wait to accept the dress after I was already eliminated or after the game was over. My reasoning being that I feel that accepting the dress during the game could make the other contestans view me as have already received a prize and therefore more likely to get voted on for elimination. After that I'd definitely take that dress!! It was cute and classic without looking dated. I buy like 80% of my clothes from Platos closet though so I know I don't have any silly hang ups about wearing stuff secondhand. Unfortunately I think some people, even adults, are just scared like 'ewwww cooties' about the sheer idea that someone may have touched their garment one time before them. But as the saying goes - "Beggars can't be choosers"
Maybe it’s their beliefs? I’m not sure, but I remember I was talking with my mom once, and she was mentioning how some people don’t like wearing used dresses because they believe that the luck the person had during their wedding, whether it was good or bad would pass onto them.
You're allowed to decline something someone gives you even if you're poor! Yes that was nice of Lisa but it's also totally fine of the other girls to have politely declined. You're not obligated to accept something just because someone else is giving it to you. Whether you're okay financially or not.
But seriously can we get people on here that don’t need the money and are all comfortable. I’d really like to see the outcome if nobody has a sob story. Hell I’ll volunteer if you fly me out.
Honestly tired of seeing poverty stricken people being exploited. Some of these people are leaking private and sensitive details about their lives online forever just to get 1000 dollars that could be spent in less than an hour!! Crazy.
@@tessy28 girl literally they list so many things wrong as if 1000 dollars will cover all of it. 1000 is a lot of money but in the grand scheme of things it really isn't much. and to spend that all just to get married their priorities are out of whack
I’m sorry but the girl with the colored hair is having herself a pity party. If you are struggling that much financially (not just now but since 2017 supposedly), what is her reasoning for not getting a job , especially now that her husband lost his? I got married at the courthouse, & a wedding isn’t important if you truly love the person you’re with.. and an elopement should not cost $1000. I was a stay ay home mom for the 1st year of my son’s life but my husband lost his job & I’ve been working ever since (even after he was able to secure a job) to keep our family financially stable & happy.
Omg thank you!! These ladies keep acting like they legally can’t get married if they don’t have a wedding. If your financial standing is that bad just go to the courthouse & have a cute dinner party/ house party w close family & friends. Simple
I felt really bad but I don’t understand why she would choose to have 4 kids if they are struggling so badly financially? I understand that accidents happen, but 4 kids???
I’m not a fan of the “one who guilt trips and cries the most wins all the pity votes” trend with this show. So I was glad it didn’t go to Andy mainly because there felt like an expectation on her end to get it. And if she’s been with her partner for seven years and planning marriage for such a long time then I think she had the most time to conjure up finances for a wedding. Especially an elopement that’s only $1900
Have to agree because also if youre so financially unstable why are you thinking of using the money for a wedding - a wedding is not a necessity and shouldn’t you be trying to use money that you do have to take care of youre kids instead.
they have 4 children tho. it’s not as easy to save up when you have six people to take care of. also the point of the show is to explain why you need the money because everyone is there to win cash that they don’t have and could use
I’m sorry but I just don’t get wedding culture. Some of these people say they’re financially struggling, suddenly being reduced to single or no income and yet they’re still trying to have a whole wedding. Some of them say they’re really slimming it down but they’re paying for invitations and a rehearsal dinner. I’m sorry but one day doesn’t seem important enough for all this money to be spent on it. If you’re broke, just have your wedding in your garden, buy a second hand dress, get your family to bring food potluck style… Surely it’s more important to just be with someone you love and be financially stable than to have an extravagant party
An elopement isn't that expensive unless you're having a whole party. Me and my husband got married and didn't spend more then just 200 maybe Cali is different idk. 🤷🏻♀️
I think her terms of elopement are a ‘quick’ weeding like Vegas style type or something. But yeah my husband and I had a court house wedding. I think it was $200 as well like $50 for license then $150 for judge to marry us.
When she said wedding pillow my heart sank, her dress is so nice and simple enough that you could easily dress it up a bit (if you wanted) or leave it be😦
This is probably the most respectful episode of 1000 to 1 I've ever watched. Usually my blood is always boiling at the end of the video because the players can be so mean and manipulative to win the money. These girls were all so sweet and understanding of everyone's situation. We need more people like this in our world! I love to see women supporting and respecting each other.
I had trouble empathizing with half of these women 😬 They're all young, many of them don't work, most of their partners don't work...and they're planning a wedding? Don't y'all have bills to pay??
Right and why do they HAVE to get married right at that moment? It’s better for them to wait and raise funds and have a wedding they wouldn’t struggle as much to afford.. Especially the one where they were the only person providing for their Halloween wedding
yall should do 7 rich/middle class people fight for 1000$. We're so used to seeing people giving sob stories and reasons as to why they're financially struggling but I wonder how rich people would handle this conversation. genuinely interested.
Same. I'm tired of the sob stories because how do I know they are even telling the truth. The competition becomes who has the best sob story and it's annoying
@@feliciasisk494 yup. after the introductions and pitches are over, you can already tell who wins. so the rest of the video doesn’t really seem worth watching anymore.
I wish Lisa didn’t get voted out first round :( she brought gifts and was so excited to be there. I feel like she deserved the money just because of how kind of a heart she has
They could have taken that dress, got it tailored, and added some accessories or crystals to personalize it. Even the fabric could have been used for the wedding decor. Don't get why no one saw the benefits of taking it.
That’s what I was thinking! But then again it’s like if I get married I wanna choose my dress myself like go through the process of finding the right one and all that. But Lisa was so nice for offering like she is the sweetest person that’s been on this show for sure
I hate when theres a festival of pity parties especially the coloured hair girl, seemed so dismissive and dis-interested in the other girls reasons for needing the money. But seriously though, if a wedding or allopement was so important to her surely she could have saved the 1.9k over the last five to six years..... not to add she was pulling out all the manipulation tactics throughout the vid with the cat and mouse victim attitude. Glad the other girl won as she seemed a lot more genuine and its nice to see the other contestants being sympathetic and reasonable with their conclusions so otherwise a good episode.
She has four kids… not defending her but I’m glad she put her money towards her kids over the years and not a wedding. She has her priorities straight about that.
I feel bad for Amy, anytime someone is younger and in a relationship others judge and immediately assume it won’t work out and question their judgement on their choice of being in a relationship when being so young.
Yup I went through that myself. My parents supported us but outsiders didn't. I was 18 on my wedding day, days away from my 19th birthday, we were only together for a year at that point but we are still married now and just purchased our second home together. Been married 10 years in March.
Because people like Felicia Sisk (above) are the rare exception. Getting married is so expensive regardless if you have a wedding or not because you are also having to pay for the divorce if it happens. That also takes time and you have no idea if it will end up to be civil at the time. Why put yourself in that situation? For most, if the relationship is good, then let it be that for a few years. You're not going to die waiting. Besides, it also has to do with the time they've been together. Totally subjective, but I feel like nobody should be getting married before having been together for at least 3 years, living together for 2. You need some trials and tribulations. Been in mine for almost 9. And talking to others who have been together this long and much longer, you don't actually fully know who someone is until about 8 years. In addition, 21 is incredibly young. You don't realize how young you are until several years afterward. You have so much to discover about your own self. Most people really truly need that time period without realizing it. It really is "what's the rush". You really do have all the time in the world. If it is worth it that's awsome, but let it set a bit!
stan lisa for clear skin, literally such an angel. She brought a whole dress and everything, so sweet and generous! Hope we get to see more of her with CUT.
Some ate trying to play ''who's the poorest'' to the point where a wedding is the last thing they need the money for. Rent, food all that comes first, so imo the women who still have a little support, still wanting a wedding should have gotten it. The second or third one eliminated
Y'all are so rude. Take the damn dress! You don't have money so you come here asking for money for a dress but don't take the free dress!!! You could easily spend less money getting it tailored and making it how you want it to look. Or just take it and keep it in your closet to be nice! Like damn. People in these series get me annoyed omg 🙄
If I was there, I’d be like we are doing games all around instead of telling stories on why one deserves more than other. Breaks the fun or trying to win $1000.
Most people I know just went to the court house and signed papers for less than $500. These days weddings and engagement rings don't mean much. Spending holidays with family, cooking meals together, and talking to each other is more important than expensive lavish weddings.
My brother did that and he wasn't even broke he and his wife just thought it wasn't worth it bc both of their families lived outside the country and quite far away.
We want more people like Lisa on the show. It's annoying for people to win just because they cry and throw a pity party. Everyone deserves the wedding of their dreams, but a wedding is not do or die.
I absolutely hated them coming at the 21 year old for being too young to get married. I got married at 21 but before our marriage we were together for 4 years. We lived together since 3 months into dating. When you know you know. We also got so many comments from strangers saying we were not ready but he's my bestfriend and the only person I want to be with so why would I need to wait to be "older" to marry him?
As a person who struggles with mental health issues as well, I can relate a lot to Ricky' partner. Especially the part of not having a job and feeling like a burden.
Literally. They said they couldn’t afford certain stuff but refused a nice dress. They could of easily make something off it if they don’t want to wear it.
The girls should put their cashapp in the comments so that any of us could possibly donate to them! Even if each person watching this video only donated a $1, I bet that would be enough for each one of their weddings
Aw that’s actually such a good idea, even for future videos. You never know which abundant stranger wants to help, and it never hurts to have that extra info out there.
Why are people desperately trying find money to get married when they are financially struggling to make ends meet? I feel like the priorities are kinda mixed up here… Side noted: if they wanted to get married so urgently I thought everyone would mentioned getting a court house marriage. The self pity just doesn’t match the future plans in my opinion 🤷♀️
exactly!!! get financially stable first, marrying now and pretty sure they might take loans too is just gonna create a bigger problem. Right now they don't have a job, they should work on that and then weddings. People are giving up everything for a wedding day when they're broke af, if you want to marry now so bad then just do a really small one or in a court house
It would be interesting to see an episode where someone gives a pity party inducing speech about why they need the money only for the prize to go to someone who doesn't really "need it".
Y’all in these comments sound like: “OMG how can poor people have the nerve to want to have a life defining happy moment in their lives like a wedding day when there’s rent to pay?! They need to get their priorities straight” 🙄🙄, y’all are so annoying…
Please set some ground rules. This competition is never about the actual thing the people have in common like a wedding but who is poorest and hast the most horribe life. You could make the rule of deciding over the project/thing in common, so they really have to think through the wedding budget, how much theyre spending on what etc. and those ideas would be fun to hear! Maybe we’d get some nice pictures and creative presentations for the projects/things they wanna spend the money on
If all these women are supposedly struggling as much as they are, a free wedding dress would make a huge difference. I’m surprised no one took it. You could tell Jamie really didn’t want the dress. Also, Lisa should have won. She was so kind.
How are they going to talk about that one girl being 21 when the one who won with 22 and everybody else has been engaged for 5+ years with their partner and were that young trying to get married as well?!
Doesn’t matter if your too young, it’s not your call to make an assumption about the relationship. That doesn’t make someone worthy or not. Your call is who needs it, not who’s relationship you like or believe in
I think it’s super annoying how Andy is complaining that she need the money and really wants it but she’s a stay at home mama. Getting married is a privilege and it doesn’t have to cost thousands and thousands. She said her fiancé lost his job and she has kids, like…what’s stopping her from going to work or at least a part time job if she wants to get married so bad. We aren’t in the 1920’s, woman are allowed to have kids and go to work.
I get where you're coming from, but childcare can be really expensive, and we should keep in mind that we don't know all the details of her story. I assume that either she or her fiance are trying to get a job, but it's difficult when they need to watch their kids.
This is exactly what I was thinking. Growing up I was taken care of by many people, and once I reached the age to be responsible to stay home alone, I did. That allowed both my parents to work, and till this day that’s how our family works. I study and go to school and do the house chores, and my parents work and cook. It’s all about a balance!
Lisa looks like Lisa kudrow, has traits of phoebe listing random but specific things and is just as kind! Loved everybody especially the 21 year old, so sweet!
I don’t get why they’re worried about marriage when they all clearly don’t have their shit together. Why rush marriage. Make sure you’re stable first at least… like 1 of them still lives at home🙁 Wait until you can afford it or at least until your partners can pitch in as well.
Done with the pity stories. Please get your priorities straight, when you don't have a job and are in pretty bad financial situations, your priorities should be something more than just planning a wedding

I love how Lisa actually had a concrete list of how she'd spend the money. Random objects but very straightforward and easy to visualize.
She was honestly the only one who had prepared what she would spend and the only one who was offering gifts too.

I was actually so shocked to see no one wanted the dress!!
I’d say weddings are alright, everyone does what they want, but please never bring kids if you’re not able to provide for them.
I got married on a beach in Bermuda and spent around 5k. I don’t think you need that much money… you can just do it and have a party later when you can actually afford it.
I would have taken the dress even if I didn’t want it. Maybe I could sell it 🤷♀️

it’s kinda ridiculous how they were pretty much all judging Amy for being engaged young and trying to get married young because when you do the math almost all of them got engaged at around the same age as Amy give or take a bit. at the very least they’ve basically all been with their partners since they were teenagers or very early 20s.

RIGHTTTTT?. am sorry but its just so hard to believe, like they all seem so passionate to get married despite the fact that they all not financially stable for that, and yet their husbands are not being part of the financial cost? nor any family from both sides are able to help? that is a very helpless situation and if this is really really the case then, the best answer should be to wait it out or do a really cheap court house wedding. Right? I think she just came for a nice time. I mean, $100 on a dog outfit isn’t fighting tall haha.
@aawillma I totally agree with you!
Agreed that it’s exploitative. $1000 is clearly a significant amount to the people on these videos, but it’s not actually that much money considering how these contestants are putting themselves in a pretty vulnerable situation by sharing intimate details of their lives and struggles with the internet. As a viewer, I don’t really find it entertaining either since it’s the same thing every time.
and then there was that Shakira and Hodan and that other guy episode.

It’s definitely not enough to throw away your dignity in my opinion. Yeah, I feel like both of them may have just used the money for survival.
im so confused why no one took the dress, they're all there for money aren't they??... i would've 100% taken it and sold it if i didn't like it
not to mention it's kind of rude that no one wanted it. it could be tailored how you wanted or can be sold like you said.

I agree but this is a game and a pity party almost always wins in the end
👏👏👏👏 I'm so glad you said it. I was rolling my eyes the entire time.

Yeah i don't feel bad. Like what the heck is the rush
What's the rush is my question... If you're rushing, it just displays insecurity and immaturity.

The second or third one eliminated
lisa was so so sweet and such a kind soul with a big heart i hope good things come her way
Y'all are so rude. Take the damn dress! You don't have money so you come here asking for money for a dress but don't take the free dress!!! You could easily spend less money getting it tailored and making it how you want it to look. Or just take it and keep it in your closet to be nice! Like damn. People in these series get me annoyed omg 🙄
They seem so disingenuous Iike retailoring is so much cheaper n like why are ppl getting married when they are broke it’s like??
@@idkylxxx2145 exactly!!!
I just thought of this, why didn’t they sell the dress? So many people sell dresses online or at yard sales and get a decent amount of cash
IM SAYING. even if its gonna stay in the left corner of ur attic, just take the dress to be nice! like y’all doing my girl lisa so dirty
@@AngysDream they obvi liked lisa.....
They say Amy is too young...but they are only 2 years older ?
Wait, are you going to skip over the fact that one dude has 3 families?
I wouldn't trust for there to not be a fourth or fifth family
I noticed that too lol
Divorce Papers rustling in the background..
i wouldn’t give the money to someone who i doubt the marriage is gonna last that man is a babydaddy at most. 4 kids in 7 years 😃
Lisa is so gentle and kind i would feel comfy around her she just screams safe
so its normal for ur s/o to not help with the finances of a wedding thats ALSO THEIRS????? literally what
If I was there, I’d be like we are doing games all around instead of telling stories on why one deserves more than other. Breaks the fun or trying to win $1000.
True. I wouldn’t want to share a sob story and start comparing each other’s struggles.
Most people I know just went to the court house and signed papers for less than $500. These days weddings and engagement rings don't mean much. Spending holidays with family, cooking meals together, and talking to each other is more important than expensive lavish weddings.
It's $35 in Maryland. An extra $25 if you want clerk to perform the wedding lol
I think I paid 100 but I could be wrong. It might have been less than that. We had the county clerk officiate.
My brother did that and he wasn't even broke he and his wife just thought it wasn't worth it bc both of their families lived outside the country and quite far away.
the 21 yo seems super sweet
We want more people like Lisa on the show. It's annoying for people to win just because they cry and throw a pity party. Everyone deserves the wedding of their dreams, but a wedding is not do or die.
I absolutely hated them coming at the 21 year old for being too young to get married. I got married at 21 but before our marriage we were together for 4 years. We lived together since 3 months into dating. When you know you know. We also got so many comments from strangers saying we were not ready but he's my bestfriend and the only person I want to be with so why would I need to wait to be "older" to marry him?
Lisa is such a sweetheart! Kinda sad nobody wanted the beautiful dress she was willing to give to anyone free of charge
Even is someone took it and sold it bc someone of then seem ever financially unstable
Jamie seemed so lovely 😭😭
As a person who struggles with mental health issues as well, I can relate a lot to Ricky' partner.
Especially the part of not having a job and feeling like a burden.
Agree! Its super hard!
Agreed. Sending love to her and her partner!
Someone should’ve taken Lisa’s dress and reconstructed it or sold it for profit!
They don't have that common sense. I would have taken it just to resell it. It looks vintage was probably a dime piece back in the day.
wedding dresses are expensive like r they dumb
Literally. They said they couldn’t afford certain stuff but refused a nice dress. They could of easily make something off it if they don’t want to wear it.
You can get married at the courthouse for relatively cheap. If you cannot afford a wedding you don’t have your priorities in order to be married.
Lisa was very unique! I’m also so happy for the couple who won! Best of wishes to your marriage
They were so judgmental toward Amy because of her age 😭
The look on Lisa’s face when Amy said she was mentally ready to get married 🙄
Lisa was hit of this video. Without her I would have stopped watching in the first few minutes.
was much less messy than expected, good for them
Yeah I agree...Lisa is so nice and that list was adorable😂
I felt so hurt when they singled out the youngest bride to be. She’s older than I was when I got married, and it felt a little mean tbh.
AWW POOR LISA GIVE ME THE DRESS
Andy doesn't need to spend $1900 on an elopement. I got married for only $250!!!
I love Lisa. Such a unique person
I hope Lisa knows she’s such a sweet, kinda, funny, comfortable person. She seems like she’d be a light to anyone’s life.
Why are people desperately trying find money to get married when they are financially struggling to make ends meet? I feel like the priorities are kinda mixed up here…
Side noted: if they wanted to get married so urgently I thought everyone would mentioned getting a court house marriage. The self pity just doesn’t match the future plans in my opinion 🤷♀️
Our society has put too much value on weddings. It's sad that people feel like they have to go into dept for it.
exactly!!! get financially stable first, marrying now and pretty sure they might take loans too is just gonna create a bigger problem. Right now they don't have a job, they should work on that and then weddings. People are giving up everything for a wedding day when they're broke af, if you want to marry now so bad then just do a really small one or in a court house
Oh it was most definitely talked about. We were filming for an hour and it was 14:51 minute video so a lot of content got cut
Its so interesting to see that the most twisted person often wins and those with great morals leave first
It would be interesting to see an episode where someone gives a pity party inducing speech about why they need the money only for the prize to go to someone who doesn't really "need it".
7 coworkers episode
@@bewithyou9976 justice for justin
Y’all in these comments sound like: “OMG how can poor people have the nerve to want to have a life defining happy moment in their lives like a wedding day when there’s rent to pay?! They need to get their priorities straight” 🙄🙄, y’all are so annoying…
Please set some ground rules. This competition is never about the actual thing the people have in common like a wedding but who is poorest and hast the most horribe life. You could make the rule of deciding over the project/thing in common, so they really have to think through the wedding budget, how much theyre spending on what etc. and those ideas would be fun to hear! Maybe we’d get some nice pictures and creative presentations for the projects/things they wanna spend the money on
i second this!
This would be HIGHLY more entertaining
Bro do these people think they can live with their problems and make a wedding with 1k.
I can't lie... I would have taken the dress. And advocated for the $1000 to alter the dress to fit me.
Please get your priorities straight, when you don't have a job and are in pretty bad financial situations, your priorities should be something more than just planning a wedding
amy seemed really sweet and I feel like the way she responded to people made didn't make them feel bad about their choices in a game like this
Why are the acting like $1000 is gonna make or break their wedding 🤣 that’s less than a paycheck come on
For some people that is their paycheck or more…….
@@erissanchez9367 yeah but come on you can make $1000 a day if you want to. These bitches are crying and sharing their life story over 1k…. Like come on. The one who came with the dress was the best one on her no sob story no complaints just came for a fun time cuz she understands that 1k really ain’t that much. It’s just funny to me that those women are trying to get married but cry over a thousand dollars it’s not that real
@@youngdrowsy_ count your blessings if $1000 is not that big a deal to YOU and YOU can make that in one day. And pray that you never have need for that much money with no way to get it.
I was actually happy with the outcome for this “who decides” series.
It was nice seeing Ricky win the money, and the majority agreeing that she deserved it too.
I just don’t understand why any of you are prioritizing a wedding right now. y’all need jobs 😭
Right have your shit together first at least. Ppl be in a rush to get married and idk why. I’m 27 & the thought of marriage rn gives me anxiety. I can wait till I’m 40+ yrs old. Thx. Lmao
All but one of us had jobs, and the other was a stay at home mom whose fiancé was laid off 3 days before shooting . we were there for the potential to help with the budget for the wedding!
@@Malenacullen only 1 single persons parter seems to be contributing to their wedding and almost none of you sound like your physically or mentally in the right place to get married. this episode was a mess
@@carleylaird5221 my partner was contributing, we just bought a home and I started a new career as an attorney lol. We decided to elope soon after this video because we decided a wedding wasn’t the priority 😂 we were there for over an hour. Lots isn’t shown. Thank you for your feedback though.
