Streets of Rage 2 - Skate w/hardest difficulty (Max Score)

- Managed to max out the score playing on the hardest difficulty with Skate. Maybe in the future I'll try a mania run but I don't think I can go to the end without using continues.
Had a strange glitch at 8:00 but figured out I could use a charge attack to get out of it.

Edit: My first video to hit 1k views! Thank you everyone! I'm going to try and prepare to do a solo mania run at some point to commemorate the occasion.
Edit 2: I'm really trying guys, I haven't forgotten about the mania run. Best I've done is getting to Stage 8 with 3 lives but losing it all in the elevator.

Skate is more difficult than Blaze and Axel in my opinion. However, he's the best character once you've got his skillset down pat.

This is the kind of gameplay I like to see. No weird tricks, hacks, god like perfect timing. Just high level, attainable skilled gameplay.
For the claw dude in the theme park you can lock him in a loop if you get him in the middle, get him in a hold and just do the head smash to elbow. He’ll fall and just be for he gets up do your stake dash cannon ball, he’ll get up and do his uppercut move but you’ll be behind him and you’ll have enough time to grab him again and repeat the process. It’s cheap I know but on the mania difficultly every bit of health counts.
I always thought he said, "O.C.P.!" for corkscrew kick.

Nahhh, make sure you have a sword on approach, ideally with Max or Axel and spam him with sword. Can be done without single life loss if smart

Yes! Finally! Like 2 years ago Botchamania used the level 1 music in a video but I couldn't find what it was from until just now! So catchy and simple! I think it was the episode with Chris Jericho and AEW with a little bit of the bubbly if anyone is curious! From early 2020 I believe!
I am definitely going to try this game out for myself soon! The first seemed pretty good but this one seems even better. It has a cool and pleasant energy and mystique about it

Amida Kombe You hold Up + Jump button until you touch the floor. It tells you how to do it in the game's manual and it's pretty much required to beat the game past the Normal difficulty.

If you watch the whole video, you can see that the live counter does go up and down. In SoR2 if you go above 9 lives, the live counter doesn't go any higher but the game does keep track of the extra lives. Towards the end of the video where I start dying a lot the lives counter starts to go down again.

TheBlackdragon936 this dude is beast in this. I was also the goat of this game. Played it on all difficulties with all characters. Blaze and axel are my favorite characters in the game. Blaze being my 1st and axel being my 2nd. Hannnnnnnnnn he really chefin these dudes an ass whippin something ugly

@@g_gao3181 Oh, if you hold Up + Jump while you are thrown, you'll land on your feet instead of taking damage. This game would be much more aggravating if there wasn't a way to avoid damage from throws.
