For my part, I seem to be a horn... or a hornet. As I talk to folks, I find their sediments are against what they recognize happening (they understand the situation) but have a wimpy, "what can I do?" response. That's when I change from a loud sound to a sting. I tell them things they can do. Legal things. I offer a website that rates all politicians in all states on their Constitutional voting records.
This is when I tend to lose people... the take action part. Frustrating to me. So I sink the stinger before ending dialog: I tell them I'll be a trench medic when war breaks out and ask where they'll be.
I have already prepared myself for beheaded death. In 2014, I faced this as a real possibility. As all good medics/ER nurses and soldiers do, I played training scenarios in my mind to incorporate vocal and muscle memory to overcome fear with standard practiced responses. Shocks folks, but my mind has been introduced and prepared a bit for a real possibility.
I am American.
I may be a woman, but I'm an American woman who knows and will fight. I don't want to. There ought to be better solutions, but if the Elite Politicians won't allow better, then it can be worse.
I stand by my (MY) country. I stand by my fellow soldiers. I stand by my Christian training and love. And I stand on God's Truth.
Most of all, I pray for the Lord to determine He will save this mighty nation.
