  • Santa Marta, the Caribbean coastal town of Colombia - here is my first impression of this little village in the north of the country!
    Santa Marta is an apparently upcoming destination for digital nomads, and sooo many local people suggest basing in Santa Marta for the month instead of Cartagena.
    Today, Ryan and I are going to explore Santa Marta for the first time. We will visit many parks, museums, eat the famous menu del dia, walk the promenade and much more, and we will share our opinions with you because we weren't sure about coming here due to the amount of negative comments from tourists who have been here pre-pandemic.
    So, let's discover together if Santa Marta in Colombia is worth visiting and check out my first impression!

      What I basically said was that the first church in the Americas was built in 1510 and completed in 1540. It was built by Diego Columbus, Christopher Columbus first born son. Also, La Hispaniola, which is known as Haiti and Dominican Republic was the first Island discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1492.

    Greeting Hola I have lived and worked in Santa Marta. The day after a flood be extra careful what you eat from whom you get it and hand washing double duty is needed. Wash or Sani wipe every fruit or bottle you buy. Their lack of storm drainage is a national shame. Corruption broken contracts and missed deadlines all mean filthily water is everywhere. Bonus day for birds rats et al. Nightmare to lower-level homes shops stores garages business... Travelers intestines beware.

      Thank you for sharing, this is super important! We noticed that the drainage system was inexistent and often the toiler and shower got clogged. Thanksfully our apartment was on the second floor, but lower-level homes and shop have the worst :(

    Good video, no idea why you need the clickbait. Most avoided? I guess you never got to move outside of Centro. Did you go to Rodadero? This is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Colombia.

      Thank you! Can you believe that, despite locals telling me to go to Santa Marta, all the tourists told me to avoid it because they felt unsafe? That's why the title. I've stayed there for 1 month and traveled around Rodadero, Tanganga, etc. I have multiple blogs about them here if you want to check them out: acrosseveryborder.com

      @@joyoushapes Not sure what tourists you have been talking with? On average 400k+ visit Santa Marta annually, with many more when you add in local Colombian tourism.

      @joyoushapes  6 месяцев назад

      @@RobertWoolford I talked to full-time travelers, holidaymakers, and backpackers. They went to Santa Marta, so they are part of those 400k, but they still didn’t like it. That’s why I made this video because I believe Santa Marta has potential, and it’s great to know many people visit it 😊

      Hey there thank you for your message! I’m a SMM for YT myself and I feel I do have a great reach, click through rate and 85 on SEO. For example, this video is 1/10 and reached more than 1k in least than 2 days and growing rapidly. If anything changes I’ll let you know! (:
