What an awesome collection. So glad someone saved them all from being scrapped. They dont need to be restored, reanimated, or anything, just enjoyed as they are. I'm happy they still exist at all. Also, it's a pleasure to see a truck video narrated by someone who knows what they're talkin' about!

love these videos. They are really interesting because you're son knowledgeable; and,
you can really give a historical insight to many of these old abandoned trucks. Very cool.
    Thanks!

a combination of very interesting but kinda sad at the same time, but it is amazing what has survived.

I should point out that all of these trucks were purchased in this condition. Most are probably gone past the point of total restoration but at least they still exist for parts or to just enjoy as is.

@@Dailydieseldose315 Exactly. My yard would look like this if I had cash to spend on such yard art. I don't have a flatbed or a winch anymore, or I'd drag home a few freebies.

Be glad they exist at all. The vast majority of old trucks have long since been scrapped. There's a poignancy to seeing the life's work of past generations in such a state. It stirs the imagination.

I stumbled across what I believe is maybe one of the rarest version internationals made. I now own it. 1948 flat nose KB-8F Tandem axle semi. But for some reason the Title says its a KB8E2969. Maybe someone can shed a little help for me. Has the IH emblem above the grill, not the diamonds. Has a saddle fuel tank that stretches across the entire bottom of the cab behind it and hangs down on both sides. Its a square boxy tank, not even close to rounded. with an incredibly short 143" WB which doesn't seem to exist except the ID tag says differently. Entire Semi is only 18' long. The front bumper is squished tight up to the grill. It also says its got a Red 401 engine but the ID tag says its only 126hp, that can't be possible. Supposedly its got a 501 in it now but I think it might be a 450 because it doesn't have a 4bbl or dual exhaust manifolds. I haven't had time to scrape the goo off of the block ID spot. Its got the dual driveshafts to the rear diffs and the shifter has the exact little lever thing on it like the truck in this video at 5:52. Has hydraulic brakes but has the full air setup hanging off the back of the cab for a trailer. Too bad it so damn cold up here in MN I'd give it a once over.

Lots of cool old iron there! At 0:41 it looks like there is an L700 Dodge cabover in the background like the old IMC model kit. Do you have any more video of that one?

Yes, possibly in part II. At the very least that video will contain photos of them. Thanks for watching!

It's a private collection. I don't believe they sell any parts.

Thanks for your video. I hope some of these trucks were saved. It looks like most were not rusted out but just surface rust, correct? I'm surprised not seeing more damage.

    • @Dailydieseldose315

Some are better than others. Most were purchased in the condition you see here. If they had not they most likely would have been junked long ago.
