Right, I feel like this would be an amazing Sorcerer subclass, like the Shaman but with Cleric spells and with different abilities like weapon proficiencies or armor allowances.
I know that this guide is for the base game. But I think that cleric playthroughs benefit from the expanded spell list from IWDification immensely. I’m currently on a Fighter-Cleric dual-class run and having an absolute blast with that expanded spell list. The fact that I rolled a 99 after only two minutes was just the icing on the cake.
Wow a 99 is amazing, I never got higher than 95 (and somehow I thought this was a soft cap that was put in place by the game creators) and I've been spending a lot of time on that character creator over the past 25 years.
Thank you! I would love to do a re-do of the multi-class guide, that will probably come late this year when I fully get back with my regular recording schedule.
Redjoy have you thought about making a guide to mod Baldur's Gate i ask because the ones I've seen haven't been the best at explaining the process to start.
It's cheesy though.. and I assume you're also using the option that allows you to instantly chain spells one after the other out of combat, like when you use Alacrity. You can't even see the portraits anymore with all the buff icons overlayed on them. 😖
Yes, SCS does have the IWD spells installed and I agree, I think they give a huge boost to divine casters. Divine Protection, Prayer, and Recitation are all amazing!
I'd donate 1000g to the temple of helm if we could get a cleric or paladin class kit that casts divine spells in the style of the sorcerers.
Ah yes, a subclass like this exists and is called Favored Soul, but in Neverwinter Nights 2.
@Antilluminati thank you. I'll have to check that out sometime.

Very nice! You are absolutely correct, IWD spells did wonders for divine casters!

I like Chant a lot in bg1ee. I had 4 memorized on my Cleric going through hard. It lasts so long you can cast it after your scout spot some enemies.
True and I find that it lasts long after the fight is done which is great! You don't need to worry about it dropping in the middle of a fight.
Forgive us, Pater Redjoy, for we have sinned... 😉
Yes, my child, tell me your sins...

Great video! Looking foward for the Mage guide! Btw, are you planing on a multi-class guide?

I definitely should, I know that I did a mod review as part of one of my earlier playthroughs but I definitely need to do an entire guide to it.
Are you using SCS with IWD spells? Because if you are then clerics are absolutely amazing! Almost on par with arcane casters.
It's cheesy though.. and I assume you're also using the option that allows you to instantly chain spells one after the other out of combat, like when you use Alacrity.

@ Yeah, but some of us NEED our portraits covered... those icons are rather pretty!
