It would be amazing if you could create a simple tutorial to create a neural network, like you said it is pretty terrible finding materials on NEAT, and reading that original paper is just awful. Additionally, of the resources that are easily available (and free), I have found that most of them give an overview of what neural networks are and what they do, but they rarely go into code, so if you are willing to do a simple tutorial on that that would be AMAZING (and probably fairly popular as well). You can be heared nicely, but I feel music shoud be more in the background so it doesn't distract. Actual code example would be awesome. It is good ilustrated with dinosaurs and pokemons, but code says more than 1000 words. Code example is always much more precise and exact than words. Keep up the good work!

Nice, simple explanation. I'd just like to point out that "fitness" in evolutionary language isn't really about how well-suited an organism is to its environment or how good it is at surviving. Technically speaking, fitness is just how many offspring you can get into the next generation (and of course, if you're well-adapted to your environment and you're good at surviving, that's going to increase the number of offspring you will have, so that's going to lead to increased fitness).
