Everybody is overly optimistic about their home team. I am. I root for Texas whether they suck or not. I like this pod :). I feel like we are still learning the fan bases in the SEC, but we can’t expect to walk in and have everyone crown us. If they respect us, that’s good enough on the first year. Now… we root for and hope for an all SEC championship game, or at the very least ONE of our teams hoists the trophy. If for no other reason than to shut the “SEC is overrated” bunch up. HOOK EM, HORNS. And if we don’t make it, then it’s SIC EM, DAWGS!!!

Nico was an okay qb this year (a rs freshman btw) & the 2024 Vol wr's were okay. But what I noticed most is Nico & those wr's were a substantial dropoff compared to the Tenn qb & Vol wr's of two years ago.
OU fan here was rooting for the Vols. I hate Ohio St. lol and wanted the SEC to do good and represent. Wish they would've pulled it off. Boomer Sooner!
The weather has nothing to do with it. Southern players do just fine in buffalo, green bay, New England, no problem. Ohio State has the best roster in college football, that's why they won. The weather isn't much different in the mountains of Tennessee than it is in Columbus
@tankj1346 you never played up north...if you are accustomed to warm southern weather and suddenly you must catch a slick ball (because they get slick when it is cold) or a ball as hard as a rock which will break fingers. Or the 1st time you dive on frozen solid Earth and realize it's basically concrete...it's a HUGE DIFFERENCE
Tn lost the game because they tried to embarrass Ohio State with the filling the seats and gonna throw the goal post in the river. What did you think would happen?

TN should be happy with their year in the overall. Sure tough loss in playoffs but they got there. But for SEC (which I am a fan of and my school is in) remember the 4TH place Big 10 team crushed the 3rd place team in SEC. Also Indiana did much better playing in Columbus vs OSU than TN did. Not saying they are better than TN but both schools deserved to be in playoffs and I am sure both are disappointed in how they did. The biggest takeaway from this weekend should be HOSTING these games is a HUGE advantage.
This at least settled the dispute about who gets ownership of UT. That is the silver lining. But Tennessee will rise again and UT will face Ohio State next season.
If you're trying to hit on a receiver in the transfer portal. Do you like Alabama get one of The Ohio state's old receivers. You were playing a defensive back that couldn't get on the field at The Ohio State. He should have told you the guys on Tennessee's team are nothing like the ones on The Ohio state's team.
