    I had the same hip stall problem as you did. I didn’t know i did until you pointed out that you were struggling to change it. Since then I’ve been practicing to break that swing habit. My back has felt much better. Thanks for recording and sharing your progress. You’re helping us stay healthy, along with being the top dawg of RUclips golf (in the USA).

    that tournament when you had the red hat and the one before, your swing was the most pure, you threw the head at a few iron shots, but the way you shallowed the club at the start of your downswing is something im striving for lol

    I've been watching for a few years now Garrett, and I can honestly say that you "have what it takes" to be a great golfer! Your swing was solid when you were a young twig and now you've grown into a pretty solid tree, so I say you are more than ready to start practicing and playing in some tourney's! You've already got great teachers and peers that are at your disposal anytime you need it, so GO FOR IT!!

      @Michael Harris yes god is good and Jesus is my savior and he deserves all the worship our minds can handle but trying to tell people that on a random comment is not the way to do it you need to show them the power of god on the down lows and then let them see how he saves first hand because before I knew about how god saves and learned the history of the church I thought everyone who believed was just talking but when I was low in my life and I asked god for help that’s how I started believing spread the word like fire good luck man

    After watching your Sunday matches with Tig, it is the mental approach I see that you can improve on. Tig seems more mentally focused on his tee shots while your game appears to be more of grip-it-rip-it. However, when it comes to the short game, your game is superior than Tigs because it looks like you have soft hands in able to control the ball the way you want to. Just my observations. I love your content as this is the only golf that I rather watch.

    • @be4st856
      @be4st856 3 года назад +7

      I couldn't agree more. Garrett seems like he's just out there having fun (which is what you're supposed to do), but I also feel like he could be reaaaaally good if he focused more. He does tend to just walk up and hit it. I honestly think Garrett has more talent than Tig (especially around the greens), but Tig is more serious when it comes to improvement.

    • @javierlopez3530
      @javierlopez3530 3 года назад +4

      Same. Sunday matches and the intensity of them when they first started are what got me hooked on this channel and I would love to see that competitiveness come back. Seems like Tig would run away with them if they continue in 2021, especially with his new putting game.

    • @davidbarnard5873
      @davidbarnard5873 3 года назад +2

      Course management can definitely be improved although lately Garrett hasn't tried anything ridiculous like taking driver on a tight 370 yard hole or attacking a par 5 green in 2 when in the trees, he's still young though, I only learnt course management at 27 lol

    I’m currently working on my golf swing and one The most important things that I got from here was when you told STEVE to practice like you’re hitting a baseball. Revolutionary for me just like STEVE and now I went from a 98 to breaking 80 and that doesn’t mean it didn’t involve a lot of hard work and practice... I hit golf balls all day whether be practicing or messing around... keep on doing these videos all the videos I’ve watched from the whole crew are awesome much support and happy new year!!!!

  • @steventicknor8059
    @steventicknor8059 3 года назад

    Never stop having fun!!! I agree with you. You play better when your relaxed and having fun. The others want Micah videos where he teaches by learning and is more serious. I like that you guys have so much fun it give me a break from my serious life and helps me relax on the course cause I can remember to have fun and not concern myself with the how’s my swing, did I line up my feet, could I have hit it farther questions that end up hurting my game. I score my lowest when I have fun and just play. I hit the ball better when I just stand their and swing rather then analyze the shot or my swing. I’m 36 so a little older then y’all are and I give this advice from experience. Always be Garrett and only Garrett. Listen to those who care about you and take all advice with a does this make me a better Garrett or not. The best advice I ever got was hear the advice and comments that people share but only apply what is gonna make you a better you that you want to be and not what others want you to be. Golf makes me happy and getting better at it makes me happy and gives me a feeling of accomplishment outside of my normal life so I do it and my wife encourages me in it. Just remember to be Garrett whoever that is. You have this many followers because you were real and not trying to be like the other successful golf you tubers. Merry Christmas and Happy new year I can’t wait to see what you can do in 2021!! Oh and you are gonna love your Mizuno’s I know I love my older ones!!! P.S. I love Micah videos too but because he is himself on them.

    I think what’s so cool about your swing is how your right elbow works. It’s very tucked and in-front of you and it makes the swing look very compact. I know grant was trying to get you to raise it or fly a bit more but is it really necessary when you already create plenty of speed.

    I like the exact way you do things now. You’ve added the best crew and talented bunch of Maniacs to the channel that any channel could possibly contain. Adding Bubbie, Pyle Slurpfire, The Schart/and little Schart, more of a Poot, Steven, this core is amazing. Adding Bryson, Jerge and Duffle also good moves. For them to all have channels is perfect. It’s a mix of the same maniacs that come together for Good Good. I enjoy watching Stephen as much as Man Bun Micah play 18. You have thoroughbreds, regular players grinding, and a Poot. It would be nice for a monumental moment, bring all together with families and loved ones, with an extra large outdoor dinning table, and feast, drink and be merry. Introductions with a 10 second blip and move on. You ALL can’t do what you do without strong support and it would be neat to see the support group. Merry Christmas and Gods Blessings for another successful year of GM_Golf, Your Blog videos, and Good Good Maniacs! You keep hitting them, we will keep watching.

Now, it's very important to make it more consistent and have a bigger assurance in shots you play, especially driver.. cause your tee-shots to everywhere are very funny for us, your fans, but I guess you hate'em. sure is impressive, but he's also been playing it all his life at a high level. His swing, mechanics, and everything about the game are so ingrained in his playing that he doesn't really have to go to the range if he's fine being a scratch golfer. It's like a kid who played chess all their life and can play at the level of 2000 elo even though they don't study.

    My input, for what it's worth is, if you don't have any intention in "going pro", then you don't need to be dead on committed . You obviously enjoy the game without question, as I guess all of us that follow you do also. Does it hurt to improve, take some lessons, get fitted for the right equipment, of course not? I recall watching a video where Garrett talked about giving up on D1 golf for RUclips. It would be cool to see him put in tour level effort to try to compete on Korn Ferry. He is young enough he still has time to make a tour career but really has to think about what his channel(s) would be like in 10 years.
    It was cool seeing the shout out from Rick but I think many left Rick for GM because he and Pete stopped full round golf vlogs. Glad to see the Bryson Kyle success but imagine the pace of making all this content takes a toll. A commitment to work on his game is not a little decision because it could cause him to make a difficult choice for the future!

    Great goal for 2021! I don't think you understand that you have a great deal of God-given talent. That's why you get better by just watching and playing with pros. It's amazing how much better you are than when you played the Palm Course at Disney. Talk to Kyle about how to practice and enjoy improving -- I believe you would love to fulfill your potential, whatever that is -- and ask Kyle for some thoughts about pursuing excellence without putting undo pressure on yourself. He gets it. Learn to love the journey, the grind -- much like you do with this job. The good news is you have a cheering section of more than a half million people before you begin! Have fun with this. The world is on your side.
