The important things about Seatown are - It's a single track road to it, there is a great pub on the beach ( The Anchor ), Meeting the brewery lorry on the road is not recommended :)
Just come across your videos doing a bit of research really on the coastline your fishing great video by the way, im from the north Devon coast and was wondering if there are any tips for branscombe & seatown area ? Favour can be returned if you ever head thus way 🙂 and can you park in the car park iver night in Seatown ? Tight line 😊
I’ve not fished Branscombe. Seatown can throw up some good fish. Just be prepared for a pout fest after dark. It’s quite snaggy if you walk too far from the car park. As for parking I think they do put a chain across the car park. You see a few cars parked along the road towards the pub. Every time I’ve fished there, I’ve been staying at the campsite just up the road. Good luck!
@@ClickBaitGem Thankyou for the reply 🙂 I actually fished along the coast thursday night/ friday morning i fished branscombe and Sidmouth a few doggies at branscombe conditions were really rough until around 3-4 am so I moved to sidmouth seemed a bit more sheltered and calmer but still went ahead and fished with no knowlegde of the beach but nothing really stops me unless its really unfishable and by god are you right real pout fest even here ( But after a few blanks ) on the north devon coast line I was happy with the pouts and the doggies 😆 tbf I pulled in a few big belly pouts, so at least it scratched my icth 🙂 thanks again for reply need and advice on this coast, im not an expect by any means but know a few good spots, tight lines
That’s a good question and I honestly don’t know. I can say for sure that when I’ve experimented with fluoro versus normal mono, at least for species where I think it matters like bream, the fluorocarbon comes out too every time.
awesome Gem. lovw your content. juat sitti g here with my tea watching you fish. did i hear correctly that you are a doctor?Wayne mentioned it on one of his videos. fair play if you are. thank you for your service.

Hehe. Thankfully I’ve never met the lorry!

Another good clip Gem very enjoyable, is that tape on your tips that you use for illumination
Yes, it is! Mighty bright tape and it works a treat. Just wish I had used different colour for each tip.
hi Gem i noticed your rod tips glowed very bright what tip tape do you use?
Mighty bright. It’s great tape for visibility. When I put it on I use a bit of clear nail varnish on it to help stop it coming off.
@@ClickBaitGem thank you will give it try, need to scrouge some nail varnish off the wife.
Good video Gem i love a hot dog yummy 😊
So good, nice to get hot food on the beach.
quick question, is there any scientific research on whether non fluorocarbon lines actually scare fish away?
That’s a good question and I honestly don’t know. I can say for sure that when I’ve experimented with fluoro versus normal mono, at least for species where I think it matters like bream, the fluorocarbon comes out too every time.

Yes I am! Though am a doctor of mathematics not medicine. Did my PhD 20 years ago now. Boy time flies!
