I'm not asking you to react, because I feel you should listen to his music straight forward. A lot of his tracks are very deep, and emotional. I get this is your paper chase, but Save Me is definitely one that you need to just take for you, not the channel. I came to find Jelly Roll when 'Save Me' came out. That song broke my heart. Then as I had him playing on the way to work, 'Nothing Left At All' came on, and I had to pull over on the side of the highway because the tears were literally blinding. 6 months later, and both those songs still make me cry every time. Keep your head up bro. You're not alone.
