I think the most impressive part of this whole thing is the way he was able to find a flow for the tempo of that second beat.

It's a standard triplet flow... Very enjoyable and VERY WELL EXECUTED, but for an experienced artist and producer flowing over that is nothing.

@@dreamer5687 yeah i suppose but honestly it's a pretty natural flow to feel when listening to a beat like that. That's absolutely not to say j Cole is a bad rapper for using triplets or anything,there's a reason its been a common rhythm in every genre for hundreds of years, but I think the more impressive thing is the actual lyrics that were fit into the flow in this case.

To be in a state of limbo is existence and non existence at the same time. So he speaks to the kids with extendos and says I know you're existing because you're living and making decisions and have ties to this world but at the same time your gang shit will be the death of you and you've probably made peace to the extent that a part of you is already dead. The second point is the limbo game where 2 people hold a stick at a certain height and a group of people try to go under it. Usually there's a song associated with the game (In South Africa where I'm from we sing the song) "How low can you go?"
