The only person who's fashion advice I trust as much as mine
Rafael Cordero your an asshole.
Fuck what you think
@@internetcomment4440 nah dude he was complimenting Reggie
01YAS10HIRO01 it looks like he’s complimenting himself.
@@internetcomment4440 Where he says "I trust as much as mine", implies that he trust his own fashion advice, however he also trusts reggies. I don't know many people who trust others fashion advice anyway, so that's a real compliment to someone when you leave your trust in their hands for something that you love so much.
It's actually a really nice way to put it to be fair
01YAS10HIRO01 someone pissed in his cheerios
I really thought Reggie was about to start rapping lmfaoo

It’s so crazy to think like two years ago I subscribed and you only had like 6k subscribers. Now you have 160k
Holy shit I did not realize Reggie grew so much! 100% deserved
I live in the city. You need jeans and sneakers to be comfortable while walking around. Sometimes you need a sweatshirt to keep warm, sometimes a t-shirt if it's hot. Bright neon colors look cool against all the concrete. That's basically my version of streetwear.
That last definition was like watching Tony Hawk doing a 720° in the X Games or something, no cap
I first saw streetwear through images taken from Japan. I initially thought it was clothes worn by random people you would see on the streets so it could be as crazy or structured as possible. From its original meaning, it's come to mean something completely different. It's more about the look at me factor now. I love Japanese street wear because it can be so crazy. The new meaning and look of streetwear is cool but never forget the history and its roots.
You seem like such a nice guy, you're the kind of person you just wanna hangout with all the time! Keep up the great work! Love the good vibes!
Can you do a WTH is americana? I am also interested to learn how it became so popular in Japan.
I ENJOYED GETTING THAT INFORMATION, THAT WAS A GOOD SEGMENT. I WOULD LIKE MORE ABOUT WHAT MAKES A NEW LABEL THAT NEXT MUST HAVE BRAND TO WEAR.
aint gonna lie you got me good with that clickbait mans had to click swift
This video was godly, so well structured and presented, and your voice just perfects it!
Tips for anyone looking to incorporate more street wear into their style?
Hey do you guys think you can do a video on how skate influenced fashion as a whole? It might be too broad but I’d like to see your guys take on it.
Make a video about the fashion pioneer designers/brands like how fashion changed with Chanel, Dior, LV, Gucci etc. And involve them Japanese pioneers too like Kansai, Yohji, Issey Miyake and Rei Kawakubo. And the early avant garde ones like Margiela, Raf, JPG, Vivienne westwood and the likes
Please promote this video on youtube. I mean paid ad for a fair amount of time because I think this video is great. Everyone needs to understand that streetwear and/or fashion is a huge respectable industry with a worldwide audience. I'm tired of everyone in my whole family clan asking how I make money and when I explain resale culture they still don't get it. At least videos like these are a perfect introduction to streetwear.
P.s. I'm not a hypebeast. I just resell to make money. I'm into archive fashion at this point in my life lmao
Great video. Keep up the good work.
the intro looks so cool now :) also I appreciated how you gave insight on Hiroshi Fujiwara, whose origins is usually described as 'mysterious' and with that no information on him. with you now I am able to know at least a bit of what Fujiwara did to become a huge icon of streetwear. good vid!
Great video man
Always dropping heat...
Love all your videos Reggie keep it up man
Streetwear =/= hypebeast
Need a longer video!!!
Is the definition of streetwear based more on the brands and designers, or more on the people dressed as such before those brands existed?
IT'S JUST WHAT YOU STATED!!
YOU CAN WEAR A TUX IN THE STREET AND IT COULD BE CONSIDERED STREETWEAR
THAT WORD IS SO MISCONSTRUED ESP WHEN IT'S FROM THE HIP HOP COMMUNITY!!
CHANGE THE NARRATIVE
Thank you for clarifying and educating me , godsend bro I've been confused😂
I would love your input on Harajuku/Pastel streetwear styles. I love wearing brands like Milklim, Angelic Pretty, Nile Perch & Harajuku Lovers but don't know if those brands are well known enough to be included in the streetwear category like Bape or Yohji Yamamoto. Would these brands be classified as something else other than streetwear?
That was dope! Period.
The best up coming streetwear brand has to be remoaclothing
It's hype.
You broke down OUR culture to a TTTTTTT!!!!!!!! EXCELLENT MORTAGE!!!!
For me, streetwear is an identification of clothing, that correlates and enables you, and others, to identify what subculture(s) you identify with.
But that's just my take sooo... change my mind.
isn't clothing and subculture always connected, even besides streetwear? I think most people dress in a certain way do have a similar lifestyle and culture
@@mcbleistift3414 hmmm interesting man. I think it's always been connected, but I think fashion is at the top, and subculture drips down from fashion I guess. Think of victorians. You had the super rich, who dressed to show off their wealth, as you could tell by the fabrics they wore.
Nowadays you have urban subcultures, and I think streetwear identifies with urban subculture, and then whatever clothes you wear identifies you with which subculture you identify with.
So you have goths which Is a subculture of the punk movement, and punk was the epitome of the political state of affairs within Britain and America. But you make a great point there ? :) got me thinking
01YAS10HIRO01 The definition you described is very broad and can be applied to any style. There's no changing your mind because you literally defined what part of fashion is.
Thank you
Very good Video!
Beautiful
Soo inspired
Everything starts at street
dope!
what about FUCT
What I hate about videos like this is they literally rewrite history. Nearly 1,000 different hype streetwear brands are ignored while a few get overplayed. Again Bape is overemphasized while true streetwear classics like X-Large are forgotten.
Not necessarily. As far as Bape, it was incredibly important and played a huge role in streetwear in Japan which is a big part of why streetwear exists in its current iteration. XLarge's footprint just isn't as impactful. We're not trying to rewrite history, the attempt was to truncate it into the most important moments. We'd be here forever if we started listing Primitive, Fresh Jive, Huf, Benny Gold, Crooks & Castles, aNYthing, etc. The point was made in the video i.e "it wasn't about the brands..." Even if your favorite brand didn't make it streetwear wasn't about that. It was about the lifestyles created by the individuals who made it what it was. That's all but you're certainly entitled to your opinion on the matter
Hasnt this been discussed here before?
Still think your older video is better, but good info
Yo pense que era ropa holgada con muchos bolsillos
I do not like streetwear, it's just not my style. I enjoy much more formal styles. Also looking at all those layers and hoodies makes me sweat. I don't understand how people can bear to wear all that no matter the weather.
song in the intro?
Hey casual, I've been collecting alot vintage clothing in Dallas and it would kool if can some how get you to D-PoP my fasion. Custom and etc
streetwear is Forever 21, H&M, Zara, and IG explore page
Lol
Take that Richard Le
MarcJacobs
I just posted a similar vid like this 🛸🛸🛸🛸❤️
Anyone know the brand at 2:43?
Don't know but I'm going to guess Wtaps
Streetwear to me is something that you can literally wear on the street and not look like an idiot
Phony
Street = trashwear to me the 🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🙍🏿♂️
ur bape logo's missing a chin.

Is it me or is the narrator over compensating his accent to sound cooler bruh
streetwear has never been anti conformity wtf? that's incredibly ironic to claim that. It's always been about trendsetting and fitting in. Thers nothing wrong with it obviously, just don't say it's anti establishment or whatever
Take a look at the history. Not what it became. Talk to any skater, take a look at HUF, The Hundreds, any brand that came up in the 90s. It's foundations in punk make it naturally anti-conformity. Triple 5 Soul is notoriously known as being strictly underground. Your view of streetwear today is not what it was when it started. Most who grew up with it know this.
Streetwear turned into a herd but it started as a group of outcasts from the traditional fashion scene. Its lost most of its touch now, birthing the horrific monster of hypebeast culture, but thats not the entirety of streetwear.
THE CASUAL I guess I was only thinking about what it is now vs what it used to be
@@nym5qu17 there are still brands that have found success without catering to hypebeast culture as much today. The biggest example I can think of is noah, although their caps do have a touch of hype, its not as retarded as a supreme bible.
