- Nathan and I had a tough 2024 Northern Wisconsin Musky season opener. The rivers that we usually like to fish were high with heavy rains from earlier in the week, and an early spring had the muskies in post spawn mode. Musky fishing in northern Wisconsin is almost always tough fishing. Hopefully we can get some stricter regulations, better stocking programs, and greater cooperation and education with the tribes regarding their spearing. That 36-37 incher you caught is the cookie cutter up there. Thanks for creating this content, Brian.

Got my first pure bred musky last night here in Iowa! 30 inches, hit a bucktail. I had caught a tiger last year but I finally got my first pure musky. Hopefully many more to come. Loving the videos!

What leader do you use for your glide? Length and lb please
@parkerwarren6979 I typically use a 10" 135 lb fluoro leader.
Woah. I use basically the same thing but every time I use a glide it gets stuck in the hooks if I work it to hard. People have been saying to use a wire leader
@parkerwarren6979 I guess I've not run into that problem that much, but a good solid wire leader would be my next choice for glides.
