Welcome to the best running community in the uk! Hope you’ve got the buzz and good to see Harry sneak in under 20mins. I need a pacer in GB kit 😂 loved that 👊🏻🙌🏻☔️
Really fab video! Honoured that we could be your first and really pleased that like so many you ‘got’ what parkrun is all about. Come back in the summer when the ground’s a bit firmer ;-) - David, Reading parkrun Co-ED
I have been watching and liking your videos for a while and was showing them to a friend this weekend. We both commented that it would be great to see you do parkrun and here you are doing it! You seem to get the parkrun ethos completely, well done you. :) A video of you and Ben Is Running going for it at a quick parkrun would be something to behold.
Thank you Ansel! I really wish I’d got myself down to parkrun sooner but it was definitely worth the wait, I just know I’m going to meet some awesome people as I continue to tick off some parkruns around the country 🥰 That sounds like a call to action to me, see what we can do 👀
It’s verging on embarrassing Chris! Plus, I noticed in Harry’s video the result says Bracknell AC next to my name… which must mean I registered for a barcode in 2015 or earlier! (Have been AFD since then)
Great run Phily and Harry for the major Parkrun promotion and so nice of you Phily to take it easy, but Harry I think you took it easy too - great sub 20 both of you Looking forward to both of your RUclips 👍🏼🏃♀️🏃♂️
So cool to see you out there running for fun! I wish there was a real ParkRun presence here in the States! Thanks for the inspiration as always! Keep pushing!
Stumbled across your new channel the other day after we saw you on Harry's Jog On Channel. Love your enthusiasm and look forward to your future content.
Welcome to parkrun I am a parkrunner myself and ran 20 parkruns myself. I watched Harry's video with yourself in it and wish I had of known you had done one and I would have watched it.
watching this before Harrys video. first of all i love how your sunglasses are upside down on your hat. the weather at the end 😱 i think you need to do some parkrun tourism
Haha thanks Bradley I always do that when I have a cap on for some reason 🤷🏽♀️ ParkRun tourism is a great shout, a beaches tour sounds like a good place to start..
@@prod.byjael no probs! It’s great for linking with Bluetooth headphones and you can download playlists from Spotify/wherever you listen to music into it!
I'm glad to have a local parkrun here in Canada, but I'm jealous of the community over there! Here, we're lucky if we can get over twenty people to show up (especially in winter 🥶) but it's great regardless.
Phily I love your videos, there way cool. Your so so fast, you are, your awesome Phily. I wished and wished for ages to be able to run a 10km in under 40 minutes. Had the goal for years and years. Usually ran 10km 42/43 minutes. So badly want to ran under 40 minutes for it. You Phily would stroll that, you would stroll it with barely a sweat. (Phily) Had kidney stones removed, so badly want to run under 40 minutes for 10km.
Phily It was much move painful running (with kidney stones) especially in the heat. Yesterday ran 6.97km in 28 minutes on treadmill. Although I do seem to ran faster on the treadmill than on the road. Next target to do in gym, is to ran just under 8km in 32 minutes. Phily, that was so funny, 7:57, that was so funny. Your watch saying it was unproductive. Lol, If you ran a 10km at 39:58 etc, just under 40 minutes. Would your watch say unproductive for that. 😭 Because Phily your that so fast, that so fast you wouldn’t break a sweat for that.
Hearing Harry shout "thank you, marshal' made me homesick.

1000%, had so much fun! I’d offer my services but I think you’d be the one pacing me!
I think Ben we would all like a Phily pacer !!
@Paulinho welcome!! 😁
Phily take up Bens running challenge at Maldon parkrun, do you think you can go sub 15:30 😀
Love how such an elite athlete instantly gets the parkrun ethos :-)
I was trying to explain it to someone else the other day and they didn’t understand that you can’t “win” 😂
Really fab video!
Honoured that we could be your first and really pleased that like so many you ‘got’ what parkrun is all about.

Thank you David! Fantastic organisers and helpers on the day too 👏🏼 Hopefully people that see this decide to come down to join in with the fun
Pretty sure October 29th isn't summer - try again!?

Great video, you seem very relaxed when talking in this one, after watching your more recent videos.
Cruising round a parkrun in GB kit, different vibe 😂😂
Haha maybe fancy dress next time?
Absolutely floating around this one Phily ! Great run with Harry
Thanks Jim, Harry’s video is awesome if you haven’t seen it yet!
@@PhilyBowden yep seen his video . A nice little collaboration
Would like to have park runs in Belgium, looks like a really cool thing!
Welcome to parkrun!! Just casually cruising round at 6:15 pace and chatting!! Great vid 👌👌😊😊

I’ll have to tell Harry to try harder next time if you think he was “jogging” then 😉 Already looking forward to my next parkrun 😁
Well done on your first parkrun, I love parkrun it open for everyone from elites to walkers, congrats!

Thanks Dev, a new but great experience! Totally, you should make it happen 😉
@@PhilyBowden I love that idea! I may just run with that idea Phily!
Loved this one, welcome to the parkrun community 💕
Thanks Brioni 🤩
Loved your video Phily. Parkrun has something for everybody, from a pb to a smile.
It really does Nick, something truly special and I’m sure there are a lot of cracking stories out there!

Thank you so much 🥰.. I have to ask, why are you the two running brooms??! 🧹
@@PhilyBowden Well our surname is Broom, there are two of us and we have both been running for 20+ years. It does what is says on the tin 🙂
My first ever parkrun was at Reading, fast in the dry.......WET in the wet 😂
Haha yes I can attest to that, I must come back in a few weeks when the ground has hardened up!
I absolutely loved the video :) it was so super fun and so intriguing to watch :) Well done :)
Thank you that’s so kind of you 🥰
Phily I love how you rocked up in your GB vest 😃 great video 👍
Haha thanks Steve.. Harry convinced me!

I’m now a subscriber. Sorry for being so slow. I saw the jog on video but didn’t realise you had your own channel.
Hey, Phily! Awesome video! I was wondering what watch you use. You usually just say Garmin
Hey! It’s linked in the description, I use the Garmin 245 music 😁

Well Done Phily! My first ParkRun was two weeks before covid shut everything down. Hoping to get back to it soon. :)
Oh yeah you’ve got to get back down, it sounds like there’s been a resurgence post lockdowns!
That was my 50th parkrun! Didn’t know I was in the same event as an elite athlete!
Amazing congrats! I’m still at a grand total of 1 but would be sick to get to 50 one day!
Love this type of content. And you've just got to love Harry. Also, how long warm up should us ordinary folk do so we're primed and ready to go.
Thank you! For a 5k or upwards I’d say aim for 1-2 miles very easy jog just to loosen up, and add a few dynamic drills/stretches on the end

I bet it does get tougher, must be cold on another scale?! You’ll have to make a trip over here and head to one of the huge London ones someday!

Subscribing today after seeing Harry’s. Would love to see you do a park run free at your own pace.
Welcome! Stay tuned… something is in the pipelines for over the summer 🤪
Harry is a major parkrun drama queen 👑
Major
Read this as Drag Queen at first… could be an option Harry? 😂
Honestly, don't tempt him
@@Alex-uj4zf 😂 I’d be here for it!
Loved the video but loved you wearing a team GB top even more 😂 Top draw. Next week please turn up in full GB kit, alphaflys and blitz the field 🙏
Haha not sure Alphaflys would’ve helped in this one, I did see a kid wearing them though! Think I’d feel a bit too self conscious in full kit 😂
Liking your content - keep them coming - please 🙂
Thank you Troy I will!
Signed up for Parkrun in 2009. My training is progressing and I hope to do my first one soon.
Nice one Mike, which one do you think you’ll pick?
Would be cool to see you smash one of these out at full noise.
All in good time Steve… 🤫

Still wearing a mask i see. Sad, very sad
What's sad is your obsession with other people's business
