i geniunely liked the netflix version, was nice on the go
I honestly couldn't believe it when I found out I couldn't play because I didn't have netflix. First time FMs let me down.
I personally think the accessibility of mobile now being on Netflix is a good thing, but that is as someone who is a long time Netflix subscriber. I just really hope they use the instant massive growth in interest and expand on the game and make it a lot more comprehensive and similar to the PC version or even touch. If this is the way they want to go, they could at least keep some of the old school traditional fan base happy by doing that.
I played FM mobile from the first version all the way through until about 2020, and the game hardly evolved. It’s too easy to master and doesn’t have the depth that keeps me engaged past one save, unlike touch and PC.
Thanks for this
Well they’ve announced they won’t be in FM25 but will be in FM26 but that’s before delay. They really haven’t opened up about it further since the delay announcement.
I think though it could follow touch and console I don’t see why not and how cool would it be if you could play it on PC like you could with say touch on Mac.
As a Mobile & Touch player I’m…genuinely shocked 😧
Yeah when you break it down its a fascinating development
Ok, but what's the money involved? Do we know?
Apart from marketing, the number of users is just a problem if users don't bring money. Users who buy single copies are secure money, I have no idea how much the devs get paid once their game become part of a subscription service. So, the fact that you have 13 millions of users on mobile and 1 million on pc doesn't necessarily mean your revenues come from mobile.
well SI has not published the March 2024 accounts yet,I have already gone through 19 years worth for another video.
We won't be able to say for certain but £33m revenue as of March 2023
Netflix haven't published how much they spent acquiring the FM24 mobile but they have put aside a lot $1bn for their Games business element not saying its all on FM but still
@@FM_Console I understand it's not an easy calculation to do without details at hand, but subscriptions can be dangerous: once you put someone in between you and your customers it's very easy to lose them. FM is a very unique PC sport management videogame, it's just one in a million mobile game. I see my girlfriend playing mobile, she changes game every week, she has literally zero connection with a specific game
@@FM_Console I would like to add: 33 millions sound like a lot of money. Until you don't compare it to the money Sony lost with Concord. A big hole can sweep SI all together in a single year
well I got another video on this exact point too which is probably my next video now this video is out
£33m revenue is an AA Games studio according to Steam, they haven't always made an operating profit every year but they also aren't investing the same levels that Sony did to make produce Concord at such a loss
Say goodbye to fmmobile 25. I wont play it with netflix.
Did you play it with FM24 then or FM23?
Same here, I've been playing since 2019 until 2023.. I don't use Netflix won't start now
Really interesting numbers here
Really good info, thanks.
That’s interesting….
just wish I could get console figures!
