That seems to be the price of owning a Nissan.
I agree. Ive been through the same issues with nissan about my grossly inaccurate speedo & mapping. They wont upgrade my maps unless I get a major service which I refuse to do because of the speedo issue. They cant do this but Im sick of arguing with them. Theyve won!
I don't want to sound negative but I think you are dreaming if you think there is a magical manufacturer out there that really looks after their customers.

Hey mate, sorry to hear about all the dramas. I must say, extremely surprised by the decision. I understand the frustration and all, but this is regular scene throughout all manufacturers on the market. Given that you mentioned that you were hoping for a 10yr vehicle, a denied warranty claim in the warranty period is relatively small in the scale of things? What if this happen in year 6-10? As an avid 4WD and camper myself I think it’s easiest to accept that warranties require a fight for those like us who even so much as put a catch can on. Will be interesting to see what you decide on and hopefully it holds to your standards. All the best mate 👍
The way I looked at the 10 year thing was after the warranty ran out I would cover everything that went wrong with the car, I suppose my big issue was the way they delt with the situation and that left the bad taste in my mouth with Nissan.
not everyone is an undying fanboy. contary to what people think their is a lot of choices out there, don't need to put up with Nissan's shit (or Toyota).
I applaud you for not giving in to Nissan controlling what you do. It was a toxic relationship so you got out. Well done on that. Shame it was the dream car though. This actually makes your channel more exciting now as we wait to see what new build you take on.
I know this video is old, Modified cars will have issues down the line as they're not within specs set from the car makers. It puts stresses and loads on other parts when you put bigger tyres, lifts and add more weight. It's a heavy 4WD from factory (so is the LC300) and you add even more weight to these cars that parts will not last as long on them. I love my Y62, it's stock and does everything i need of it and i only have done a catback exhaust on it because i know down the line it will not cause any issues with warranty if I need. When you modify a car, any car, it's up the owner that the mods didn't cause the issue.
Thanks for the comment and after fixing the problem we found the issue was a faulty steering column which had nothing to do with Nissans diagnostics they believed it was the steering rack, so In this case it was a factory component that was faulty.
After 6 months of research and reading manufacturing specs, contacting market manufacturers about R&D and cerfificaetions and also speaking with insurance. I had 3 things done, original towbar, window tinting and AT tires the same size. The rest of the mods can't justify risk vs rewards from warranty, legality, Payload, reliability and insurance aspect.
Sorry to hear your story but understand your decision. I was in a similar situation as you. Not so much warranty issues. Had a 3.2 twin cab triton from new. Awsome car. Set up for travelling with long-range fuel tank, solar, canapy, arb suspension ect. Towed a off road camper every where. Time came to move up to a hybrid.. Towing capacity became a issue. Same as you the next vehicle was a ten year plan, even longer as I am nearly 60. Had heart set on another twin cab but nothing new fitted the ten year plan. When I did the sums the cost was horrendous . By the time I kitted out a 4or5 cylinder ute I was close to or over $100000. Now this is not a Toyota love fest now. I ended up with a 2008 200 series with under 200000 ks for under $50000. Did a gvm upgrade, draws ect. Changed the airbox. Comfort wise there is no comparison to a twin cab. No warranty issues as the vehicle is well past that. Services are done by independent mechanic locally. Seriously one of the smartest financial decisions I've probably ever made. Probably spent $15000 on bits and pieces on it . But that includes a boat loader drawers ect. Good luck with your next vehicle. Cheers Paul
Y62 is definitely not designed for towing - the transmission over heats, cooks the fluid, and wears out prematurely or just dies. Do your research, talk to a brakes specialist, a transmission specialist, find out what needs to be upgraded for what you want to do. Out of the factory it's a great car for picking up the kids from school...
Sorry to hear, was a great looking rig. I think you’ll find it’s quite rare for any car manufacturer to be helpful when something goes wrong these days.
Sad to see it go. But you gotta do what you gotta do. I was a mitsi fan boy. I had an mn Triton which was great. Then I moved in an PC LS challenger, as it was a more practical family car. I sold it in the end as it had a vibration issue that no one could figure out. Absolutely no one. It put me off updating to a PS sport or Triton. So I ordered a Nissan. Hopefully I don’t have the issues you did. Good luck with your next rig
Sad to hear, I agree new car warranty is tricky when modified, hence I decided buy used for Overlanding I mean even ASPW claim was rejected by Toyota. The patrol y62 steering rack and gearbox is a known issue even when stock.
@@4x4CampingandAdventures For sure, anything not to honour a warranty all manufacturers pull this. Maybe an Alucab canopy for your double cab would be sweet. Best of success.
Sorry to hear you’re leaving the Patrol stable. Personally I think they are a pretty robust car, one of the better makes out there. I have indeed seen them brake, but almost every time is been from lack of mechanical sympathy from the driver, which isn’t a Nissan or warranty concern. I’d buy another in a heartbeat #Y62life
Unfortunate mate they are fairly strong rigs I did have some fun in the car and didn't drive it lightly by any means just cant trust the other side if something was major to go wrong but thats alright all good things come to a end.
They ARE well marketed... They ARE well represented... Fans DO 'claim' they are great... But reality, blessed reality, they have heaps of problems. Americans have HEAPS of problems with the their 'Titans'. When he sold his Triton, I was damn surprised he went to Nissan, but they have a MASSIVE HISTORY OF POOR PERFORMANCE across MULTIPLE vehicle platforms!
@@steeletaylor8079i understand the titans having problems but i thought the y62 is pretty durable? where i live, they are considered decent. wouldn’t you claim that it’s the 2nd closest reliability wise to the LC200?

Nissan "Customer Service" should be renamed Nissan "Dealer Service" from my experience. I've had no major failures on my S5 62, but the Sword of Damocles hangs over my head if it should happen, looking at my engine and suspension modifications. Every single manufacturer has issues and faults with their cars, it comes down to how they go about resolving them. I haven't procured a Ford since the 90's due to terrible customer service (unresolved electrical problem) and my recent Isuzu purchase (replaced gearbox after 3,000km) has left me wondering about their quality of parts and workmanship. So I sold that ute promptly. It comes down to luck and patience with cars. Some cars go 500,000km without a problem, some don't make it out of the driveway. Hope everything turns out ok for you. I'm sad to see the 62 go.
Yea that suck here in America some of the dealer add lifts but the lift they add puts the vehicle out of warranty so the moment you drive it off the lot and have a problem it's your fault
Sad to hear but hopefully on to brighter things. I am biased and have had great experiences but take a peak at the Ranger, working with ARB and whatever you get put on is covered by the 5yr warranty. From a PJ & PXII owner, cheers 🍻
Sold mine to get a Next-Gen Ranger, and I am loving being back in a Ford. If they were available when I was looking to trade my Navara, I would've done so ages ago. The Nav was not going to cut the mustard as far as towing my van I had on order, so Y62 it was. Wanted to supercharge it, had the money, but after one of the HBMC lines cracked while out at Broken Hill I managed to get Nissan to pay half to replace it as it was only 2 months out of warranty, and given the covid lockdowns, it would, more than likely have happened while still under warranty. I will never buy another Nissan. A lot of ppl are complaining about their Rangers, but mine has been great so far ( almost 8K kms ) and tows my van with ease and uses half the fuel....... Good luck with your next touring vehicle....
@4x4CampingandAdventures I tossed up between a wildtrak and XLT. Found a demo XLT in Coffs. Fitted a canopy, roof rack etc. Booked in to TJM next week for better suspension, bar etc. Spent a lot less than I could've on the Patrol..... Enjoy yours.....
Brayden, I can hear and see the heartbreak and frustration in this video. I remember your excitement when you got the beast. Not nice when it leaves a sour taste in the mouth especially after all the work and money you've put into it. Major faults should not be happening in the first 5 years. Nissan have never been the same since they got into bed with Renault. Hope you find a great replacement and it gives you joy for many years. Maybe a good secondhand one is the way to go (minus those still trying to live off Covid tax prices). Will be keen to see what you get. 😊
Mate Y62 is a very strong engine and reliable all manufacturers have some lemon just like the Ford Ranger nothing but problems if you have troubles with warranty with Nissan definitely don't try Toyota they're the worst out there for warranty you will have troubles with all manufacturers when you put aftermarket gear on four-wheel drives it's just the way they are it's not just Nissan
You can sort of see why they do it though tbh when you see all the videos of folks upgrading what is essentially a mid duty vehicle, at best, and then using them at their maximum designed weight and in crappy conditions tbh. When you look at what you have it's basically a glorified kitchen and closet on wheels imo. Not being rude but essentially that's the case. I just got back from a week away in the bush, not remote, and didn't use most of the crap I took with me tbh. How about starting out with a lightweight setup and perhaps something like an off-road POD trailer on the back? Also look into a more lightweight/minimalist setup which you can always add to as necessary? There is so much top end lightweight gear around although it tends to be expensive. Seems these days that most are intent on dragging all of their crap and a house around with them which is both very expensive and prone to issues if all of the videos I have seen are anything to go by. Just my opinion.
Hey mate just watched your other videos about the steering rack. I had a VW Amarok V6 and my power steering pump malfunctioned it was the over pressure relief valve was faulty, causing very hard steering at idle. VW made me change my tyres from 265 70R17 back to factory 265 60 R18 let's say it was an ongoing ordeal for months. Anyway I sold that car just because I had a bad taste in my mouth also and bought myself a brand new Toyota LandCruiser 79 duel cab and only used genuine accessories for this one as im not interested in all the hoops I have to jump through this car is more then enough for my towing duties. No more big mods from me anynore
None of these modern cars are as robust as the 1990's back cars. I have a y62 and a gq. The gq is hard as nails but noisy, slow, smelly and uneconomical. You cant break it, but riding in it for 10 hrs is a bit of an ordeal.
Really sorry for you... very disappointing... pain was palpable. But hey new opportunities will open up. I always thought that Pro4x warrior might be a good option if I ever had to recommend a new dual cab to someone (other than hilux) but now very unsure... What about the new Triton when it comes out? Maybe 2nd hand to fill the space in the meantime? Would be great to see something other than a Ford or Toyota (been an done so many times). Mazda or new Amarok?
Honestly, buy a good used petrol 80 ( it’ll be a cheap copy of the y62). Pocket the balance and enjoy your trip I’ve had two 93 1FZ-fe Sold my first one at 700,000 and my current one has 445,000. Apart from regular maintenance no major problems
Having just bought a Y62 after having a Ranger Wildtrak X (in the process of selling) I wouldn’t be going for a dual cab, Y62 is much more comfortable for travelling. You’ll need to read the fine print, any manufacturer will limit their warranty & what’s covered under the factory warranty post modifications. Good luck.
Feels like new cars these days are built to generate the biggest profit margins. do it for as cheap as possible, then when it breaks hide behind some clever wording in a contract. Maybe get a budget dual cab for now and get some videos going on the DIY low cost mods that appeal to a big part of your audience. Later on down the track think about a nicer rig, once you know what you really want.
VK56 are extremely durable, been around since 2004. Y62 is very durable but I have heard that steering racks are a weak point if large wheel/tyre combo and lift. Just a shame that Nissan are tarnishing their brand.
Go the best Triton you can get, the best engine THE ML 3.2L Triton..... no real issues even at 370 000 km's... after the 3.2lL Diesel there became some issues.... new doesnt mean the best.... the best is the best performance, the best outcomes, the best reliability.... !!??

I'm sure you're gonna miss that big v8, that sound is just unbeatable. I'd recommend triton, proven platform, same chassis as mn and ml. Reliable engine and trans and I say the most reliable dual cab currently. Some say it's horrible at towing, some say it tows just fine and id believe the latter. It's not like it will tail spin and flip unless you're a dick driver . Why are people obsessed anyway about towing a big ass, non-aerodynamic shit box behind their vehicle?? Anyways, triton responds well to tuning and I'm sure a good pair of rear shocks and maybe springs will help with towing. Awd and the best ute off road. There's no better option. All the best brother
Modern 4wds are more unreliable than ever and funny how manufacturers are pushing back on warranty claims. They drag them right out because they want you to give up and walk away. Warranty work is bad for business. Even Toyota’s renowned reliability has taken a massive hit with the D4D engine up to present and emissions related technology in those vehicles. Hit and miss with them when it comes to warranty work. Some stealerships push back and others honour the failures.
@@4x4CampingandAdventures I just thought it was because their cars were unappealing & way over priced haha. They do make cars mainly for city females & men with small balls. Mitsubishi has been feeling the heat from Chinese vehicles & I’ve heard they’re going to be scaling back their range to a bare minimum of vehicles to remain profitable. The Challenger & Pajero have already been scrapped & both replaced by the Pajero Sport. The ASX will be next for sure.

Whenni had the car inspected by a panel shop after purchase, i contacted nissan, and they told me this was my problem as i had bought the car. I would never buy a car from them again, they are shonky scumbags! And from every report on these y62s nissan dosent wanna do anything with them. Man I am so sorry you had to go through all that BS with Nissan but I totally agree with you, the moment you loose faith in your vehicle then it needs to go. ( shame on you Nissan ) the sad thing about your experience is you are definitely not a lone duck when it comes to warranty claims, more and more you hear of particular motor manufacturers using the fine print to get out of warranty claims, but let me ask this question- these automotive manufacturers are really good at claiming that their vehicles can have a” towing capability “ ox 3.5 tons when in actual fact that is not true. I truely believe that the consumer watch dog and the relevant government bodies need to pull these manufacturers into line and hold them responsible for what they claim especially when it comes to axle loadings, GVM AND GCM. Brother I wish you all the best in your next vehicle purchase and I hope you do not have any issues and your faith in your new vehicle removes the bitter taste out of your mouth regarding the Patrol. Safe travels and stay safe.👍👍
It is sad to hear your having so much drama with the warranty side of things and must admit has been a concern of mine since deciding to spend so much money on a new car down the line. I personally drive a GU Patrol in which I go to most of the bucket list tracks, OTT, Simpson, Flinders and of course VHC to say some purposely built for that sort of driving, and the idea of the new car will be for me and the missus to tour OZ in comfort. BUT I do have a question for you regarding the comment Trust in NISSAN. Is it Nissan you do not trust or a Dealer in particular? I have heard not all dealers are the same and some are very sympathetic to the owners. Cheers and best of luck with your next choice.
Definitely the dealer mate I would say there are good dealers out there doing the right thing unfortunately I didn’t have one. Thanks for watching mate
Sad for ya buddy, can c it in your body language and hear in your voice, so frustrating companies don’t look after their customers with after market service etc, onwards to better things, take care Braden and chin up 👍👍👍👍
It's a shame but hopefully you'll take some valuable experience from this. Car companies and dealers in particular are all assholes. It's about 50 years too late but I think the ACCC are finally starting to take them to task. Hopefully in a decade or so these dodgy practices will get stamped out. The massive fines Toyota are about to pay over the way they handled their DPF issues should be a wake up call to the industry. If I can give anyone advice about modifying a car under warranty it's 'keep all the stuff you change out'. Then if you have an issue put the vehicle back to standard BEFORE you take it back to the dealer for a warranty claim. Yes I know it's a hassle , but it could save you a bucketful of cash and heartache. Good luck with whatever you decide to replace it with but I'd suggest a Thai built overpriced shitbox is not the answer for an extended lap of of Oz. At least not if you want to leave the bitumen. A good GU, 105 or 70 series will be infinitely more reliable. Won't be as comfy or as effortless as the 62 though. Nearly 5 years on I'm still very happy with mine, it's been faultless, but then the drivetrain is still completely stock.
Very well said. Great advice on keeping the original stuff you swap out, such as original tyres on original rims. If you have a warranty claim to make, put them back on the car if you had larger dia tyres fitted. Loved every word you said. Very true.
And yet my Brother in law had a motor blow in his nearly 10 yo Triton which was a known issue on some of them and the dealer/manufacturer completely replaced it with no issues whatsoever during the middle of the pandemic. The car was stock mechanically and had been dealer serviced its whole life. Buying overpriced second hand vehicles that could be full of other people's issues can also be a road to heartbreak and expense imo.
Hmmm, im just guessing here but i suspect that in the dual-cab option, Nissan Navara is not up for consideration😏 The thing is, while you enjoyed your Triton (and tbh, i enjoyed your channel way more back then that your more recent unwitting Patrol brand ambassador vids), Mitsubishi is basically wrapped up with the Nissan/Renault shit-show now, so who knows whether your treatment will be any better. Like many others point out, modifications are often an out for manufacturers... many of whom even try avoid blatent issues nothing to do with mods, het Toyota DPF class action. Interestingly, i have no doubt Nissan will be aware of this vid but wont comment publically. Screw them, many of us in the 4x4 community are well aware of the steering components issues on those Patrols. Nissan would do well to realise that there's a reason the basically are, like the hapless Ford company in Australia, a three model manufacturer. If folk mistrust Patrol, they could quickly become a two model company and slide out of Oz like Holden. However, its clear that wont happen until they first become as disgraceful as Chrysler Australia appears to many, as seen by their crappy sales figures... and all because they didnt back their Jeep products with warranties fairly. Nissan has somewhat of a resurrection with that Patrol, which its clear theyll squander.
Nah mate Navara isn't in the sights would love the coiled rear but they are average for towing which I do, I am going back to the basics mate no crazy 12v or canopy builds simple and smart and light!
Wow, shame about the bad taste from Nissan!!!! I'm guessing a new Triton is on the cards!! All the new utes are just as reliable as each other but Mitsubishi has the best reputation for looking after customers in regards to warranty by a country mile!!! Toyota, Ford and VW will throw you under the bus every chance they get. Isuzu and Mazda are the same now, Isuzu won't come to the party if things go tits up but Mazda might. My money is on Mitsubishi purely from a care for customers point of view.
Aaaand just like that I’m not buying a patrol, thank you for sharing! Looks like I’ll be heading Isuzu d-max, I mean they manufacture some pretty reliable trucks so there 4by’s are bound to be bulletproof right??
If any manufacturer stands behind their products it's Mitsubishi at least, they are still exchanging engines from modified MNs totally free no questions asked.
More content needs to get out like this. I wonder why people buy nearly or over 100k modern cars then modify them & wondering why dealers & insurers duck claims. Fook that noise in todays economy.

Well this is there legacy this video will stay up for anyone to see before they buy one hopefully.
I know this video is old,
Modified cars will have issues down the line as they're not within specs set from the car makers.
100% mate next build will be very in lines with warranty etc
Hi. Would the addition of a 5” inch snorkel to a brand new Y62 compromise any future warranty claim ? Cameron
@Camh1968 probably with Nissans warranty
Hence why they should fix the problem it had nothing to do with the lift
@@4x4CampingandAdventures For sure, anything not to honour a warranty all manufacturers pull this. Maybe an Alucab canopy for your double cab would be sweet. Best of success.
Bring back the triton mate, I just finished my MR triton and it's the perfect rig (Unless you are towing)
piles of absolute crap
I love the commitment 😊
Mate! I had a triton identical as your old rig and loved it.
Used to watch all of your content before the patrol came along.
Now I have a 2022 D-Max. You should get one… you won’t have issues, I’m 30,000 ks now from new. 0 issues ❤
Haha mate thanks for watching but I’m pretty set on my new path with the ranger, hopefully I can say the same in the next few years 🫡
I hear you mate. Nissan will not ever sell me a car after seeing what happened. Zero chance.
The older I get the more value manufacturer warranty yields. Especially for how much these higher end 4WDs cost.
Except they can’t do as promoted out the box. Throw some kids in the back, and a 3T van and the arse is on the ground
Very sad but can completely see where you're coming from
Yup Nissan are shocking at after sales care. I’ve learned my lesson with them, never again.
Smart man!
I'm sad to see the 62 go.
nissan done this to me. but 3rd party got in contact with nissan, new motor replaced. Never go directly to nissan, works every time.
Thanks mate I also brought a ranger! bloody stoked with it drives like a dream
Sorry to hear about the Patrol mate! But looking forward to bigger & better things to come!
12v install coming your way mate haha
I had a mate with a Ford V8 ute blow his clutch doing a burn out. He knew, they knew. Got a new clutch under warranty.
New Triton build! Let's GOOOOOOO!
Can't frighten a Triton
I sold my van for the same reason. After 12 months of warranty claims, I had no faith in it.
Not worth the hassle in this day and age with all the choices we got vote with your wallet
100% mate the new setup will be completely different to the patrol trust me she will be very minimal and light weight
Aw man, that sucks! Shame on you @Nissan Australia.
MR Triton twin locked on 295s or a Jeep Gladiator on 35s. Love my twin locked MN but they would be my go to if needed to upgrade.
I just bought a 2003 tundra 8 cyl 4wd for like 3600 usd last month its awesome! 300k miles and no problems at all!
Not sure which way to go yet mate!
Honestly, buy a good used petrol 80 ( it’ll be a cheap copy of the y62). Pocket the balance and enjoy your trip
I’ve had two 93 1FZ-fe Sold my first one at 700,000 and my current one has 445,000.
Good luck.
Thanks for the info Rob it looks like we are doing the opposite but thats ok enjoy the 62!
It’s a real shame on all fronts man. Can’t dwell on it. Just gotta look forward to the new build. It is what it is.
100% Matty
Feels like new cars these days are built to generate the biggest profit margins. do it for as cheap as possible, then when it breaks hide behind some clever wording in a contract.
Maybe get a budget dual cab for now and get some videos going on the DIY low cost mods that appeal to a big part of your audience. Later on down the track think about a nicer rig, once you know what you really want.
Bingo mate that’s exactly what the build will be
Have the same problem with Land Rover, their warranty and after sales support suck
VK56 are extremely durable, been around since 2004. Y62 is very durable but I have heard that steering racks are a weak point if large wheel/tyre combo and lift. Just a shame that Nissan are tarnishing their brand.
Still got the mn triton going great just run out the 10 year warranty
Mitsubishi was great with warranty
Go the best Triton you can get, the best engine THE ML 3.2L Triton..... no real issues even at 370 000 km's... after the 3.2lL Diesel there became some issues.... new doesnt mean the best.... the best is the best performance, the best outcomes, the best reliability.... !!??
totally back your decision mate and would have done the same thing, I was considering buying a navara but based on your experience, I’ll be buying a triton! pretty shameful of nissan!
Be careful of Nissan mate just don’t modify anything on it.
@@4x4CampingandAdventures yeah i’ll avoid them like the plague in that case, all the best with the new build mate, looking forward to seeing what comes next, one good thing to come from it, it is with the sale of the y62, you’ll have a healthy budget for a dual cab and the fit out, I’m still really impressed by the tritons for the money, great bang for buck 👍🏼
Yeah mate got a good budget to get sorted with something nice and deck it out it should be a fun process
Triton....10 yearcar, 10 year warranty, 10 year roadside assist etc etc. It's a no brainer unless ofc you prefer flashiness over value for money and practicality. GL with the new rig whatever it might be.
I think you will find that with most ..if not all manufactures will have the same comeback with warranty on any modified vehicles ..
crazy as now you can buy a Y62 with the exact same mods as mine from the show room floor with a warranty
Your modifications limits Nissan's warranty I've had unmodified Nissan's where Nissan covered costs at 200000km mark breakdowns
That Sux Brayden. Typical though of manufactures and dealers to pull this $^%T. The long and Short of it is they want you to buy genuine not aftermarket.
(Which at most they do not have available).
Majority of the aftermarket parts fitted to 4x4 have no bearing on what causing issues on the manufacture parts and they know this but this use it as a scape goat. (as you know)
Good on you for standing your ground against them and let me know when you get your new ride and will send you a new Hikeit XS to support you and the channel
As always, Keep up the awesome videos mate

Flick me a email mate 👌
So what went wrong, he said steering column but was it that ❓
Steering column was the issue it had nothing to do with the power steering rack
Man I completely understand where you're coming from, the most random shit happens with cars and like you said don't wanna be waiting and getting run around.
There is a reason you don’t see Honda dealerships anymore after there dodgy business practices
@@4x4CampingandAdventures What dodgy practices? They have no dealerships because they decided to get rid of them to sell direct like Tesla, along with making boring ass cars and putting prices up $15k across the board. Genius business idea, but didn't think they were dodgy, unless you were a Honda dealer.
All manufacturers are the same mate, not going to find one out there that will be any better.. we had major issues with Toyota when our previous 200 series cruiser needed to be repaired.
crazy as now you can buy a Y62 with the exact same mods as mine from the show room floor with a warranty
yes Brayden , you have made the right decision , if you feel this strong about the 62
Thanks Rolly
Differently think its not just nissan with issues as covid order caused a major rush to cut corners to get the vehicles done as even 150k plus cars are having issues but i would look at raptor as a option but i have a 2020 y62 before covid build and no issues had with it in the last 2 years and i have 35s and all bar work and rear set up so its heavy and do a lot of more harder tracks and not much long distances stuff.
But yeah warranty will not work when modifying vehicles where the ford raptor warranty looks good witha stock raptor that has the suspension work done and stock 33s with lockers front and rear
Good until it comes time to need it perhaps........................
@@oldbloke204 i am a mechanic and my car is modified so will not get warranty and so will fix it my self
@@jamiewilliams7618 Good option for you but I still wouldn't want to be trying to fix a modern vehicle unless you are very well versed in the electronics etc and have all of the diagnostic gear.
These days it seems that chucking out mechanical components and plugging in new ones at great cost is the preferred option.
I've seen a few stories about the cost of dusting a V8 Landcruiser motor.........damn.

Nissan are notorious for bad after sales service. It’s all good if you want a shopping trolley but that’s about it.
Sorry to hear what's happened mate.
Might be an opportunity to jump into a Triton once again. Maybe a slightly older MQ model (bare minimum tech).
Not sure what to do next mate

All car manufacturers have the same issue it doesn't matter what 4wd you buy they are all the same
I had a vf gts which I couldn't modify quick enough. I accepted that any warranty was thin air and enjoyed the car as it was built.
Fast forward 3 kids and now I have a y62 which is lightly modified and again, I own the fact I've given the dealer a golden key to deny a warranty claim.
If you think any brand aren't willing to pull your pants down with a modified car, your kidding yourself.
Just my opinion, love the channel 🤙
You mod it you accept it, you are so right! But people don’t understand the word mod lol
look I agree on mods that you have done should not be be warranted cant agree more but the end problem was the steering column nothing to do with the suspension tyres etc,
I bought a nissan maxima from a nissan dealer and it was 2 years old at the time, was offered no warranty on it at all, and nissan promised me car had never been in an accident.
Whenni had the car inspected by a panel shop after purchase, i contacted nissan, and they told me this was my problem as i had bought the car.
I would never buy a car from them again, they are shonky scumbags!
And from every report on these y62s nissan dosent wanna do anything with them.
The only problem a 200 series has is the dusting issue, change the airbox to aftermarket, these things are bullet proof. When i had mine drove it down a rutted out massive boulder field road down a mountain and not even a wheel alignment went out. Although they do need brake upgrades, as brakes suck.
Sorry for your situation mate, but get a 200 series and never look back
Mate you think after sales support by Nissan is bad now, or for that fact any dealership what do you thinks going to happen when these hybrids and EV’s all start kicking the can down the road.
They haven’t manufactured in Australia for years, there is no skilled tradespeople’s or opportunities for apprentices to actually cut their teeth on any thing on the market these days no one’s helping anyone the further ahead our motoring world pushes ahead
Can't go wrong with the Triton mate. I have the 2015 MQ Triton Exceed. It's a great ute. Hasn't done me wrong yet.
This channel has gone from wild to even more wild in the last month 😂😂 let me guess, they wouldn't warranty your steering after you'd modified it
Let’s just say they came to the party but it took 4 months lawyers and ACCC to get there
Sweet onto a gu 4.2 litre and do it right. Back to diesel u go. Pick ur self up a 4.2 from one of ur country residents who advertise it out the front of their farms on the road side as u drive past. Cant go wrong with a 60 year old 4.2 owner who hasn't modded it at all.
Thanks for watching mate I appreciate it! Also the new build will be done in specs and in the law which will be something different
I had many navaras but Nissan played games and now I will never go back . Would go Chinese before nissan
wait until the new triton comes out at the end of the year. its suposed to be bigger and better
MR Triton? New 2024 models just around the corner too...

Sad for ya buddy, can c it in your body language and hear in your voice, so frustrating companies don’t look after their customers with after market service etc, onwards to better things, take care Braden and chin up 👍👍👍👍
Definitely upset mate I love the car but I can’t move forward with that hanging over my head it’s this or put it back to stock
You need to watch John Cadogan's video on this issue. There are certain phrases you must use to get action. Then, a lawyer.
Don’t document all your mods on RUclips to 😂😂😂

Did you change diff gears to run the 35s?

Ram or Raptor. Maybe F150 or Tundra
Hmmm, im just guessing here but i suspect that in the dual-cab option, Nissan Navara is not up for consideration😏
The thing is, while you enjoyed your Triton (and tbh, i enjoyed your channel way more back then that your more recent unwitting Patrol brand ambassador vids), Mitsubishi is basically wrapped up with the Nissan/Renault shit-show now, so who knows whether your treatment will be any better.
Get another Triton :) 👍
Wait till youre Ranger gives you CRD problems , and all the unreliability of the Ranger we continually read a out

That’s piss poor of Nissan that’s all I have to say.
Aaaand just like that I’m not buying a patrol, thank you for sharing! Looks like I’ll be heading Isuzu d-max, I mean they manufacture some pretty reliable trucks so there 4by’s are bound to be bulletproof right??
Heard good and bad things like most cars mate but mostly good
Any thoughts as to which direction you’ll be heading??
Dual cab for sure just dunno which one yet
Damn, not long bought a new TI-L haha this makes me nervous!
Don’t stress mate keep it stock and you won’t have any issues with the warranty
@@4x4CampingandAdventures yeah keeping it relatively stock other than towing accessories/upgrades. Nothing crazy.
i love my mq triton very under rated car pity manufacturers dont stand behind their products ,
I hate my MQ and there is a reason why I can’t sell the piece of 💩
If any manufacturer stands behind their products it's Mitsubishi at least, they are still exchanging engines from modified MNs totally free no questions asked.
@Auto Expert John Cadogen
all new cars are shit just some are worse than others, maybe a raotor then ey?
No towing capacity 👎
Could see you in a Ram mate.
Landcruiser Prado next👍🏻
Can you not get it pre rego lift and engineered so then they would have to cover it by warranty?
Maybe but I doubt Nissan would be giving warranty when you change the GVM etc
Time for a suzuki jimny
Haha I actually had a look at them 👀
Please don’t get a Ranger or a Hilux too many out there using these utes. I reckon get a MQ or MR Triton.
New triton
dosent matter who your with there all the same they try get out of anything and some are much worse than nissan trust me
90k would get you a mint 04 rodeo
Hahah would get you a mint lots of things
More content needs to get out like this. I wonder why people buy nearly or over 100k modern cars then modify them & wondering why dealers & insurers duck claims. Fook that noise in todays economy.
Mitsubishi, Nissan, same company!
buy a hilux lol so sad but completely understand why if you want to drive our ute lete me know its not perfect and could do with a few thing but you might see if you like it or not
300 is coming next🎉🎉
Haha chopped 300 $250k build coming up like that has never been done before 🥴
But your videos said you broke the patrol and said you hit a stump and then your steering was faulty how is that a car fault when you broke it? You thrash that car and all the videos show it, so many patrols out there and they are all fine when stock! I think you best get ya facts straight, you sold it because nissan were right and you saw no way out with ya lies to the dealer! Every manufacturer is gonna give you the same dramas when you treat it like you do Buddy.
Interesting theory about the stump I did hit one at about 5ks a hour, BUT I had the mechanical report done before that with the steering issue being diagnosed in September the trip where I hit the stump was in December, I think you better get your facts straight Rob.
