I'm plowing through your videos. I love "Through the Hedge" series! I feel like my 2 sisters are taking me on an adventure. Thank You for sharing ❤ - Eric from Illinois, USA
Now i have used a week looking at all your videos. You are two super cool ladies. And i have bin sailing around the world. But never sail on a riverboat and this narrowboats look great. All the best you ladies and i will keep lokking for your videos. ;-)
I enjoyed that, thanks. Actually you're the first to explain clearly the weirs role in the diversion of the river water to the canal. Looks marvelous up there.
Hiya, beautiful Wales and beautiful Aus plus their cats and Ewart too! What a perfect video, ideal for a Sunday, a genteel walk admiring the scenery, plant life and wildlife... couldn't be better. As promised a charming trip to the falls with delightful narration on route, all in all a perfect 'Through The Hedge' thank you both. I'm already looking forward to your next offering, take care...
Hi. Yes, I love your idea of ‘Through the Hedge’ videos to add variety to the Canal adventures - which I hasten to add, I really enjoy too.. I would buy a cat and scuttle badge, but my three (2 Ragdolls and a Maine Coon ) would be jealous. They notice these things. Heh, what the heck - tough!
Well, you've done it again vixens. Lovely walk to the falls. So clear up there, because the water doesn't get disturbed, you can see the bottom and the fish. What got me the first time was the steepness of the rock faces going down to the canal level, and how the trees defy gravity almost. That's it now, you've just become my favourite couple of Alan Whickers. Keep warm, keep smiling, keep vlogging...xx
I have just "done the 233", that David Collins beneath refers to over the last week !! I love the humorous tension you create between The Brash G'day Aussie Anna and the more Contemplative Quizzical Celt Kath (now that's alliteration !!) You have made a genuinely uplifting, witty, perceptive and beautifully recounted travelogue. Today was the first time since I started of having to wait for a post, it made my elevenses Sunday mug of black steaming percolated coffee go down that much better. However next Sunday now seems a long way away. I also have a pet called Alys. However instead of your dainty puss, mine is a recalcitrant 2 yo Basset Hound. Thinking about it, cats and hounds do have similarities in that when called, they consult their diaries to find out whether they are free to come !! Good on yer Girls !! Have a good week. I shall be looking forward to your next post.
Brash Aussie! Surely NOT. Do they exist? :) Contemplative Quizacal Celt Kath...You missed out Coy and Coquettish there :) Agree with everything else you said David :)
I love walking in and exploring old cemeteries. We are coming to England the end of May. I am excited to see some of the areas my ancestors were from back in the 1600’s. Thanks for sharing the beautiful scenery on this wonderful canal trip.
I love Wales! I was last there in 1972 (just before the dinosaurs went extinct), and have been itching to get back ever since. Have you ever thought of cruising on the River Wye? No idea how much (if any) of it is navigable, but that's one area I've longed to see. Happy cruising!
Ah memories. I went to Dinas Bran school just the other side of the canal where the horse drawn boat was moored and worked in the Chain Bridge Hotel during my school holidays 48 years ago and it looks exactly the same.
A veritable history and geography lesson about the area, must be great in the summer when the sun is out. Well done Katy and Anna see you next time💁💁🐈🐈
:grins: If you are ever there and fancy a posh meal out then I well recommend the Chain Bridge Hotel - also good for a weekend away ... if you don't live on a narrowboat where every weekend is a weekend away :D. Again, always enjoyable to see you at places I have been myself, such as that lovely little church on the hillside.
Thank you girls. Always enjoyable. Not sure Kath was quite so enthusiastic though. Bless her. 😁 Hope you got back to the boat and snuggled up with a cup of tea and a slice of chocolate cake. 😁
Another fun, fact filled TTH😀 My folks visited that area a few years ago and everything you are showing us well illustrates why they loved it so much. A beautifull part of the world, even in the less than perfect weather you are getting! Loved Kaths reaction to the "if you like that sort of thing, like we do" comment too😉
With 233 videos over almost 3 years I have quite a bit of catching up to do - but from the 10 that I have seen so far I don't think it will take me too long to find the time to do so (although I should really watch them in sequence rather than 'cherry-picking'). Your videos I've seen so far are informative, endearing, and dare I say - quaint. Pleasing to watch and such a gentle pace (apart from some of the locks I'd imagine). I look forward to the next installment on your narrowboat experience with eager anticipation.
It arrived just in time for my porridge. A lovely video, I really enjoy your through the hedge series. Thanks as always for sharing your wonderful adventure.
THANK YOU!! That was brilliantly informative!! Enjoyed every minute - black kitty doesn´t approve of mooring me thinks... Much Love and warmth from Mexico! (plus 4 kitties who are so happy they don´t live on a boat!!)
Anna - "We're going to the end of the canal where it all starts" - Me -- 😕 . Great video and well done for going in the rain although Kath looked a bit dubious about that bit.
The other day.. Was wondering what was up, past where you moored.. Google Earth, actually goes a long the Towpath.. So quite literally I walked the Towpath(online) the other day.. Goes all the way from the Mooring Basin to the Horse shoe falls.. Absolutely beautiful.. What caught me, was how “hilly” it was.. Kinda like the last place ya’d tink they put a canal.. Side note: I forgot it’s me Saturday night(really F late) yor Sunday mornen.. Kinda pleasant surprise seeing a post..
Great video ladies of one of my favourite places. Pity you could not see Taff the horse towing the boats or the steam trains in the station. powered boats can go no further than the marina as the canal is too shallow further on.

I live here. Never get tired of it
Beautiful
When you go walking in the rain and sunshine you get rainbows! ... beautiful shot. :) ... an altogether lovely wee 'hedge-through' adventure. :)
I love that you took the time to show us the different gate mechanisms. Thanks!
I thought they were fascinating too.
You are so rugged up! No doubt you are enjoying the change in temperature today.. Absolutely gorgeous again on the Trent & Mersey.
Loved the views in the Horseshoe Falls walk. Very nice. Thanks for showing it.
Brought back some happy memories of hiking in that area. Many thanks !
Thank you, love the history, love the gate latches, Great Job showing the source, most people probably have no idea where the source was.
Brilliant video, loved it. Especially the bit about "the end of the canal, where it all started." Don't ever change your style, ladies :)
lol

I enjoyed that, thanks. Actually you're the first to explain clearly the weirs role in the diversion of the river water to the canal. Looks marvelous up there.
Why couldn't I have such history and geography teachers like you?
So kind.
Thanks ladies a nice little history lesson you gave there.

Love the jolly music you used for the cemetery views! ;)

It's a lovely town
A veritable history and geography lesson about the area, must be great in the summer when the sun is out. Well done Katy and Anna see you next time💁💁🐈🐈

Love it. You may look "Chilly". However, it is perfectly "glorious" compared to -30C here in the middle of Canada.
Yep the horse shoe falls are amazing! Even cruising up the cut to Llangollen itself is stunning! Great vlog as always ladies!
Love going through the hedge, thanks for the lovely, if a bit rainy, walk.
Lovely video! There's gold at the end of that rainbow!!
Done white water rafting at Llan in the past, lovely place 😎
That seems quite popular- even in this weather.
@@TheNarrowboatExperience I went in the summer - I may be daft, but I'm not stupid 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I love through the hedge! Thank you. Such a stunning area. Even if the rain x

Thanks Kath and Anna for another great vlog, which brought back happy memories when I did that walk.
Just the sort of report I like to see.

Charming through the hedge Ladies really enjoyable thanks. Xx
Thank you for another wonderful scenic trip!
I love old cemeteries. You didn't show us enough of the one you walked through. I would have liked to see some of the old tubs tones up close.
I debated it as I didn't want to seem disrespectful or morbid.
interesting I like the shiny graphics at the end
Fascinating as usual...keep it up.

Interesting bit.
Thanks
Very good, that was much better than your average 'sort of' through the hedge... Did you not pass Mr Brown at all?
