- It was to be a standard airsoft event. Until they found out they are playing at an ancient Celtic necropolis. As the fog cleared, two worlds stood face - to - face in the most epic airsoft battle ever. Different tactics, different rules. Each side has its own way of fighting.
How does it look when you apply airsoft rules to a medieval battle? Would airsoft guns be useful in medieval times? How do they work against the knights? But fortunately, airsofters have one big advantage in this bloody skirmish - the respawn.

Sorry, little late to the argument, but wasn't the halberd a renaissance era weapon? They may have been in medieval Europe when they first showed up, but I don't know.

The Pigerians: Actually, most medieval/Renaissance fairs have very little that is really medieval, they mostly present fantasy nonsense. So I'd argue that there is not much atmosphere to break X-D
However, THESE guys in the video are absolutely spot-on and have great late medieval gear! :-D

Paintball would win airsoft guns cause very little pain and almost no physical harm. Paintball on the other hand hurts much more than airsoft and people have died and have lost eyes playing paintball

By the way, Ancient is a adjective that defines anything before the middle ages.
Despite anachronisms, it's still pretty well made.

Yes, birnyx I want to see the airsoft vs nerf, in which an airsoft team and paintball team fight, perhaps get the medieval team on the airsoft as a contination of the airsoft vs medieval in which in the end an airsofter and a knight meets 3 paintball soldiers.
this would be better if it was real guns vs mideval, make a whole war out of it

Why wouldn't they aim at they eyes?
Usually in medieval reenactment fights, the arrows aren't tipped with actual sharpened arrowheads, but much rather heavy plastic tips that would rather knock out a person than kill them. Also, wheellock guns are illegal in medieval too.
They weren't wearing eye protection. Could've taken advantage of that.
If they'd have shot 'em in the eye, the ref would've intervened. Can't have that, now can they?

5:00 they took him planting the sword in the ground pretty well... Swords were an expensive weapon (and honestly, the people in the video should have been wielding spears mostly) and a weapon of monetary standing... planting a sword in the ground damages it.

The only part about paintball I like, is that you can't say that you weren't hit because it would show where the paint splatters.
