You’re both amazing in so many aspects… but just to name a few: as an inspiration of positivity, as a couple, as youtubers, as editors, as sailors… congrats on everything, much love, one life.
Hi there! Wow, thank you so much! We have come along way both independently, as a couple, as editors and as sailors since we set off from Florida 3.5 years ago. We really appreciate your uplifting words!
Oh that's a gorgeous place. All good except the stinging jellyfish, lol. Awesome on getting the measurements for a new head sail. Good job Brooke, way to go. Exciting times. Oh that blue starfish was lovely. Mmmm..... Cookies, yummy. That dolphin cam is brilliant.

Hey David and Stacey! Yeah CR is a challenging place for cruising sailors. If we were going to do it over, we would leave the boat in Panama and fly to CR and travel by backpack. Hope to cross paths with you guys one day out here!
When we see dolphins it seems like everything is right in the world! Can't believe you are almost caught up! Wow thank you for watching! Our next episode is coming soon!

Looking forward to seeing your new sail(s). Peanut butter cookies 👍👍👍. A wonderful passage treat and a favorite of mine as well. Safe sailing. Cheers 🥂

Watching this video, and well all of your videos, as well as many other sailing channels keeps me driven to begin my journey. In this video you mention that you are crossing the pacific next year. As my plans have obviously not gotten that far, my initial plans were to spend a year in the Sea of Cortez, then head south to panama next year, but every time I think "am I going the go left (Canal) or right (South Pacific)?" I am drawn to go to the south pacific. However I am a solo sailor on a 36' boat. I have been getting SV Saoirse ready to cruise solo, and Im confident in her ability in Coastal waters (as well as my abilities) I am not sure that we are up to the task of a crossing like this alone. I would be curious to know your take on this, and of course Im hoping it will be over that Sundowner I owe you (as promised). Kind Regards and Fair Winds... SV Saoirse.
Hey Alex! We totally understand where you are coming from. When we got to the crossroad in Panama we absolutely had no idea which way to go but we also have always been drawn to the South Pacific. When the time comes to make the decision you will know which is right for you. Have you considered grabbing a crew member to hop onboard to cross the pond with? We will say that the Sea of Cortez has been absolutely incredible for us so far and we can't wait to have those sundowners!
i don't think you've ever covered launching and motoring up the dingy. Also your feelings on the additional motor weight for the 4 cycle engine vs additional fuel mixing on a 2 cycle. I've read also parts are easier to come by with the 2 cycles, especially on the outer islands. Thanks and love your stuff, while land locked at the moment.
The weight difference between newer 4 strokes and 2 strokes is negligible. Our 20hp Suzuki weighs 97 pounds. A 15hp Yamaha Enduro weighs 86 pounds. The fuel efficiency, quietness, easy starting, and not having to mix oil are huge benefits. In 3 years now our only problems with our Suzuki have been mounting bracket parts breaking, it still starts on the first pull!
Have you made provisions to get back into the boat should you fall overboard and or be injured in the process? Would need help getting back in could do it unassisted?
Hey there, good question. When both of us go forward on deck, we always make sure one person is tethered to the boat. Hopefully we wouldn't both go over at the same time so we could throw the other a line and pull ourselves back on board or lower the ladder off the stern.
That is an excellent strategy for keeping an environment safe. Just don't let people use it, the environment that is. Wonder if the planet Mars has the same policies? hahaha
