- Hey everyone! This is a storyboard animatic I worked on for my class last semester, I put a humiliating amount of time and effort into this, so I hope you enjoy!

this is one of the few animations I've seen that actually point out that Kim also has trauma-- It feels like a lot of folks just remember Harry's problems and forget to note that Kim's got his own. Which, yeah, Disco does too, but that's because we're playing as Harry.
So I'm genuinely so, so happy to see someone else pointing out that Kim's got his own problems and bothering to animate them too.
Thank you! I really wanted to make something that had a lot of focus on Kim since he’s such a well written character with such an interesting story that I feel like gets overlooked a lot. His unsure and diminishing connections to Dolorianism and Moralism is feelings that I can relate to a lot.
You managed to show us Kim as a person, not just "Harry's best friend". Excellent job.
Wonder if the writers meant anything by having a set of lungs being the symbol of moralism, which Kim says he Used to consider himself to be, and Kim's smoking one cigarette a day which will slowly but surely ruin his lungs.
It's because the air around us our spirit, as well as Revachol's. It's sacred and terrible.

harry puking, and kim's expression as he stares at the viewer, protected by an umbrella, smoking a cigarette. it's bad for him, and it creates unnecessary trouble, but he keeps engaging with it. it'd be easier and better for his health to just quit. but he just loves the allure
Really love the Dolorian Lungs darkening after kim's cigarette habits. Great video.
I love the focus on lieutenant Kitsuragi, especially when he meets Harry and we're put in Kim's shoes; how his copping mechanism (cigarette) must make it hard for him to keep Harry pace, the way he experiences the same situations Harry does but in a mundane way. It's just pefect, the aesthetic the references.

I love that the vocals here even sound like a cross betweeem the limbic system and the city!
Every time when I flip through already watched Disco Elysium videos I always stop at yours like a deer in the headlights. The music that you chose and the visual narrative create a special feeling within me which I can't quite describe. And that's all on top of general feeling that I'm watching something that someone put a lot of thought into. Anyway, thank you for putting your time into it. (Oh and for Kim! I especially love how you were able to show us the important parts of his character while still maintaining the way we see him in the game)

Thanks! The only thing I was actively inspired by was a tumblr post I saw talking about how symbolic Kim with an umbrella could be. Unfortunately I don’t remember who made the post. I wasn’t actively thinking of any anime when I made it, but it’s possible I might’ve seen something and subconsciously referenced it

Думаю, сильно помогло то, что я была в кошмарном галстуке, потому что со мной поднимали тему дискача даже те, от кого я не ожидала (художники и художницы которых я знаю по другим фандомам, например), и в целом люди подходили пообщаться. Но и когда глаз наметан, начинаешь "замечать своих")
Хотя я помню, как мы с подругой закончили игру и пребывали под впечатлением, что мы вообще чуть ли не единственные, кто знает об игре) Но это просто потому что никто больше в близком кругу правда не знал)
А так, если чуть-чуть поискать (и желательно в тематических местах) - знающие или хотя бы слышавшие обязательно найдутся)

animação absurda!!! a letra da música caiu muito bem pra temática de disco elysium e também amei a perspectiva do Kim (a não-me-esqueças, as imagens da Dolores, aaaaa

When I first stumbled on this song, I also thought it had the same feel of these characters. There is another song that closely resembles my poor guy Harry , it's called "Cara de Vilão" by Cartolas. You'll understand if you listen to it.

I think this is my favorite Disco fanproject every made. There is so much Symbolism here, the camera work and general Art direction, ughh just pure Art right here. I also love the Song and listen to it on ocassion now, so thanks for that aswell

I don't think anyone ever realised this, but maybe the existence of Kim's "One ciggerste a day" rule implies that in the past, when he was younger and possibly worse off, he might have smoked more heavily.
Then he eventually got to the point where he decided "No matter what, I can ONLY smoke one day. Make it count", as a way of reducing his self destructive habit, without the downsides of going cold turkey?
