    Awesome.. starting a raised garden bed with potting soil, compost, and topsoil is best.

      I've been looking into composting, really like the concept of reducing organic waste

      It's fun and easy, plus you can pretty much put it in any container. Utilizing an old coffee grounds bag is a great way to get started

    Also recommend looking up a local community gardening club they sometimes have classes and the best tips.

      Great idea, I will! I follow a reddit gardening group but would like to get an idea for plants that grow best to the region. Local group would help with that

      @Engineered Mojo yes, I took one in my community. It's run by volunteers and was a 6 week class for 4 hours every Saturday. Went over starting a garden from beginning to end. We also received free supplies like gloves, garden tools, seeds/seedlings, foam mats and project planning materials such as the manual for gardening and local flowers/produce. It was a great experience for me and the kids. Levi would love it. Playing in dirt and worms 😊

    What a cool idea! I haven't seen a sandbox/garden combo before. What plants are you growing?

    • @EngineeredMojo
      @EngineeredMojo  Год назад +1

      Have an apple tree, wild flowers, peppermint, cilantro, and Swiss shard

      @@EngineeredMojo Swiss chard has such beautiful leaves!
      We had some mint growing here too, it about took over the bed after a couple years. It smelled great, but we had to pull it out to make room for other things.
      How long will it take for the apple tree to produce fruit?
