I've been carving "knife" for about 9mo. Now and this is something I want to try out,, I have seen a ton of videos, and so far you're the only person that explains every move, and new Carver's needs that. I love your videos, thanks for sharing, keep them coming if you can, stay safe

Hi Kyle, perfect looking bears. We have a lot of trees that need to come down and were wondering what a good length to cut them would be? Don't want to have to clamp them. Girth of trees about what you have demonstrated in this video. Also can we use an electric chainsaw to do carving? Thanks for any advice you can provide.
Hi GD thank you . Clamping carvings that are small is a safety thing in my opinion. Even if you cut them 1-2ft long they would not stand safely enough to carve if the girth is similar to those in the video. Bigger heavier logs you don’t have to clamp as the weight keeps them in place .
Thanks for your videos. I've been watching for awhile and finally just got settled in my retirement place and going to give it a try. Question. I have access to lots of wood (100 wooded acres) can I use fresh windfalls trees right away or are they going to be too green and I should look for older trees or wait for a certain time for wood to dry?
Yes you can carve green wood! Nice, I wish I had that many trees. As Kyle said, they will crack over time but you can repair it or maybe the crack will be in a place that won't look bad. Keep watching Kyle he is very inspirational and smart. You can learn a lot from him. Think ahead of each cut and be safe. Thanks Kyle!
You would have to do research on the saw bar chains and see what would fit . I know the Stihl gas saws I run have the ability to run different size bars and chains

I have just updated to a chainsaw and need to know about the dangers of bouncing the front bar as this worries me, I see a lot of close cutting from the tip but is this a special bar that is needed ? could you perhaps explain this in a tutorial, thank you so much for your valuable help as always.

On a 16 chainsaw bar can it be relaced to a 12? Can you increase teeth on the chainsaw also on OEM bar. Model Black and decker electric 16 inch

Why does my bar hop around alot when I begin to cut? Thanks
A lot of time those electric saws come with a .50 gauge chain and it dosent work that great . Keep it very sharp and be careful
