Very helpful video. Thank you! I want to encourage you to do more videos. You're very good at instructing folks in a step by step manner. I know it's a pain to work and shoot video, but you do it very well. i dropped off of RUclips for years after doing videos, so I know. But you do a great service & I hope the videos you have made and will make, will help you have some side income for years to come. Cheers!

Netflix has a show called (Carver Kings) it's a AMAZING show. That's what brought me here.

Hey Eric, I've been practicing for 3 weeks now and study your videos every free minute 😂 You make it really great, I'm excited. Would I be happy about more tutorials, maybe with photos of the steps, then I could better understand what exactly you are doing. So on, greetings from Germany

Мастер класс супер! !!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Keep em comming
one more time!! epic!! great work bro!!!!
wow just wow
Ideally if someone is new to chainsaw carving never try plunge cutting with the tip of the saw kick backs are more likely to happen and they happen fast. Learn about the technique of plunging before trying it and I recommend steel toed boots and saw chaps for added safety.
Wow.. thx for sharing. How do you avoid kickback as lots of carvers seem to push that end kickback zone into the working piece. Cheers.
Hi Eric, i have just had my first crack at chainsaw carving, and i suck at it, i now have a new even greater admiration for those that can do it, does it matter how green the wood is?
really good do you sell these things on ebay or somewhere else they are really good
merci eric
Watched for third time- well done- good instruction.... Still curious as to selling point $$$$$$
This one is a quick carve takes about an hour and I sell them for 50$ unfinished to my partner's that resell them. If I were to sell it myself I would seal and sell for 150.
For everything else I take more time on and put more detail in, I'm pretty firm on 100$ per ft (height)
Thank you!!!
Great video, again... maybe for the next time.. ad some voice over in the timelapse part. It helps to understand what you are doing. keep the chips flying.
Очень красиво .
Roughly how much would something like this sell for ?
Nice I could give that a try. Thanks, was that a 4 in cut off wheel?
Sou do Brasil,👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏 te curto
just what i have been looking for, just subscribed, you make em and i`ll watch em and maybe even give it a go on my channel and i`ll be sure to mention where i saw it first, good job!!
can you do a vid of you making a eagle with it's wings open in coil position ready to take flight and one with head down wings sweeping back ?
great video thanks for sharing. what type of saw chain do you use? semi chisel or full? and do you file it at a different angle for carving? thanks
Love the step by step! What type of disc are you using on the angle grinder?
I've tried 4 eagles, and haven't done one i could sell yet. What size diameter log should I use, and does it have to be an angled log, or can I just create my own angle, but I feel I'm just not using a big enough log
Hey man just wondering if you modify your chains in any way? I saw on a UK carving forum where they grind down the back, or heel as they call it, of the chainsaw teeth. Any thoughts on this. And by the way am loving your vids.
Nice job on the eagle are you carving cedar? It is soft but takes good detail I just bought the 362cm computer controlled carb to replace my 440 mag it doesn't have as much power as the 44o but it has tons of top end reminds me of husky saws I used to run good demonstration of plunge cutting with a chainsaw lots of chain speed slow rate of feed into the wood and a sharp chain very little kick back keep up the good work on the videos and remember 10% inspiration 90% perspiration makes a successful chainsaw carve or starve
Western red cedar!! And sometime i get my hands on old-growth!!
And yes the 362 i have is my first ever pro series saw and the biggest iv had yet! iv been told you usually don't need any bigger than that for carving. And yes carve or starve indeed!!
Are you from Minnesota? Your accent sounds familiar
What chain do you use? And does it help for it to be a little dull on certain cuts?
I am missing something. every time my eagles timirn into ravens . Help
sorry Eric i have to low the speakers because i get nervous when i hear a chainsaw but i wanted you to understand that i have anxiety attacks but i am trying to overcome it day by day
I think filming and pace was good...
glad to see your work on the beak and feet as I requested in your Jan video. What would be the price of that eagle? Great Job
What's the price point?
Eric how much would this be to bye £
What is a low price ? $50 to $100??
when you carve an eagle, can you let me know what's the diameter of the log to use.
How much do one of these go for
Hello!! Where can I purchase a clamp stand like you used in the tree video??
I'm a new Carver and appreciate your videos!@
Sharon
I got mine at Canadian Tire it's called a jawhorse
Im sure youve found one by now by i found mine at Lowes, Rockwell jawhorse
What kind of bar oil do you use? I'm a beginner and all of mine turn black from the oil
Michael O'Brien just normal heavy Stihl chainsaw oil. oil pens to nourish wood not sure how it would turn black honestly have never had that problem what kind of wood are you using?
Eric Caron pine mainly. I've used Stihl oil, but it turns the color of the wood dark
Great work, its really amazing! please take a look at my work and let me know if u have any suggestions
nice carving why is it us carvers loose out all the time put your prices up ...dont sell are self short …
