The speed at which Lisbon changes the subject once Jane mentions ""Walter Mashburn" is freaking amazing!! Their facial expressions made me LMAO so hard!! This scene definitely makes it in the top 50 Best Ever scenes!!
So like Jane's delicate way of showing Theresa that the back door swings both ways. You cant question in a challenging way when you yourself are far from perfect. Lovely scene, and one where humour came into it, which was one of the things which made this series such a delight.
I just watch the entire show again, and now bumping into this vid I laughed so hard again when Jane mentions Walter Mashburn to Lisbon she immediately changes the topic! He got her so bad! Hahaha!
When Jane couldn't be with her because he was hunting Red John, he loved her being territorial and jealous over him--in a way it was as close as he could get to her romantically. But now that they're together he is anxious for nothing to come between them because the fantasy is finally real. For an agent of chaos, Patrick really is a sweetheart deep down.

To be fair, those were short lived, one night only experiences, and when Jane and Lisbon still saw their relationship as being good working friends. Once they declared for each other ,there was never anyone else. That makes it different.
