Quack quack 😁, I know but these basket makers were good that they made water baskets how did they do that with out a sealant? Or did they have a type of sealant.
Around here (Ventura, California), there are natural oil and tar seeps. The Chumash basket makers would use that material to make the baskets water-tight.

@@stevejohnson1685 Yeah the Chumash carved some awesome bowls out of soapstone, too, as well as being master watercraft (tomol) makers
