I was making between 20k to 30k a day with 6 businesses (2 Gift Shops, Supermarket, Liquor Store, Jewelry and a Law Firm). I opened a Clothing Store, and it alone was making between 35k to 50k on the first days after opening. Crazy stuff. It requires around 30k to stock, but it brings so much money its insane
Is it not possible to split the work day into two so that he can fast forward till the end of the shift and eat during the break? The egg strikes again.
He can literally open and close at any time he wants. He could be closed when stores are open so he doesn't have to take a whole day off and sleep 12 hours just to go shopping. He could build in a lunch break. He could hire an employee to buy back his time. But all that would deprive us of the experience of being lectured incorrectly about economics by a virtual psychopath who just can't seem to help himself from doing the most insane things possible in this game. I'm starting to understand why NL streamed from an actual closet for so many years even after becoming quite successful.
NL talking about fiscal responsibility while he's just spent $100s extra on cheap gifts because he forgot what time he opens at and didn't go to costco and then leaving his car parked in the $8/hour spot is something.
People of the comment section, I have figured out the truth: This game is essentially an idle/clicker game - it's what makes it so addictive to watch. Line goes up.
I've played it, and it plays just like one. Once you open a new business, there's a few steps you can take to maximise productivity, but after that, the game plays itself.
@@vetofallen521 I don't know, eventhough it's shallow for Paradox standards, Vici3 still has a lot of depth. Also, I was commenting more on the "feel" of it. You start by doing everything in your power to reach automation as quickly as possible. And sure, you could liken it to factory builders but with those there's generally a clear goal and a change-up in systems that has a significant progress throughout eras. From what I've heard and seen from BA, every business is virtually the same except for start-up cost and profit margin. The other part of the "feel" is just about what makes you happy. If you build a great factory in Factorio or DSP or , just looking at working supply lines is... satisfactory. In BA, you just look at the monetary income and want it to be higher than yesterday.
All the crazy utilitarian ideas NL has about “eating the same food all the time” and in the door knob tier list video talking about brutalism and saying, “why are you painting that wall, brother?” Basically asking why someone would paint a wall just to trick your brain into thinking it’s warm because we associate it with the color of sun. Facing the register away from the door is such a power move
It's the cat strategy; cultivates brand loyalty by acting like you don't care if the customer walks in or not.

NL without headphones shows up in my nightmares as a beacon of light that fights the darkness around me.
This video inspired me to sell all of my belongings to dedicate myself to the sigma grindset of sleeping on city benches to make money.
Me too brother hell yea
Kate losing her mind laughing in the background during the Ikea shopping made my day
this might be one of the most pegged nl eras in a while, tierlists, big ambitions, boneraiser, weekly jackbox
stay pegged ♥
Don't forget Hitman!!

Watching NL play this game is super entertaining and I have no clue why
Definitely my new favorite series, has the king of retail feel with bigger goals, i hope it has some staying power

5:28 I love NL's random sounds
The best one's 53:55 when he pops off at 100% clean

Please never stop playing this game. The content is too pogged, and learning the sigma grindset is changing my life for the better.
This is my favourite NL content by far
That last 10 minute segment was much more Grand Theft Auto than King of Retail.
True business genius is buying your cheap gifts 2 hours early and wasting $1000 compared to just buying them cheap from the wholesale.
then leaving your car parked in the $8/hour spot and clocking in early
You know NL is killing it when you’re 6 days behind despite watching as much as you have time to
I never comment on RUclips videos, but I had to say, this is my favorite game I've ever seen you play. Please keep it coming!
