Thank you for posting the lyrics. Everybody thinks this is a love song, because of its lyricism and melody. But if you read it carefully, it is actually a stalker's song. Sting is really, really good at melting the line between love and obsession.
I desagree. The woman probably stays with a husbend( or a boyfriend) that mistreats her, and then one day she meets a man who really loves her. For my opinion and in my immaginaion that's the story.

Still love his music but I hate his new hair and beard. You don't dye your hair and beard when you're a sixty-year-old man, in my opinion. Shows his vanity and/or insecurity?!?
@@mt.shasta6097 You're going to laugh. I've never colored my hair and love it now that it's white! And my husband grew a beard when he was twenty-two and has never shaved it off! And I have always loved it! Just don't like beards on everyone.
