I'm sure Wayne Lytle would let you take over Animusic 3:) The whole story of Animusic 3 is sad. Mr. Lytle went through a lot. I say this as someone with ADHD and autism who is worried about getting RSI from typing, mice, electronic instruments, etc. despite being a techie at heart.
Would definitely be interested to hear more about MIDAS and what it can do. Im a 3d artist too and have been intermittently playing around with MIDI in 3DS Max because of my love of animusic. I ended up scripting a very rudimentary approach but would love to see something far more fleshed out!
I'm very glad to see this video out of the Discord exclusive zone :) Seeing this video very much showed just how intricate "Ambient Glow" is! Also, I noticed the lighting is different on this video compared to the actual animation. Finally, was the song that played during the video an earlier version of "Ambient Glow" or is it an entirely different track?
@@LasersLightsandMusic Cool. Thanks for the clarification. Could you guys at least tell us what the title of the song is or make the song available on your Bandcamp Page (Or both)?
How long did what take? I'm guessing you mean how long it took to render Ambient Glow (the final, full animation); which is about 1 month, with four computers rendering 24/7. The scene was poorly optimized; we prioritize low render-times a lot more now (Full Circle, in comparison, took a week on one-two computers). If you mean modelling wise, how it usually has ended up going for us is that we create the models rather quickly; at least in comparison to the animation stage which takes up the bulk of the time. AG was pretty much done by ~mid-2021; it just took a while to really finish the animations.
@@LasersLightsandMusic Hey LLM, I know this suggestion could a little controversial but have you guys ever considered making an fan-made Animusic animation using the Cel-Shading technique? (But personally though, I would not be a fan of you guys making every single future fan-made Animusic video using this technique. I honestly really hope that you guys will sometime make another fan-made Animusic video with the same render quality as "Ambient Glow" though.)
We wrote our own music animation system nicknamed "MIDAS" which we've used for all of our animations. Animusics software was never made publicly available.
Wayne would be proud
Always impressed by your guy's work! Honestly more excited for original animations than A20
(Not to say I'm not excited about A20, but this stuff is so awesome)

I'm impressed by this animation. Also, that background music, will it show up in its own video one day? It's catchy as heck.

First thing I see in the morning, this frickin' rocks!

Entirely different track that is not currently intended for any animation projects
