RBUK on the other hand is dead even with 3 Pros, Neutrals, and Cons. I will say that some of the factors for RBUK could be excused since it is a new show and could improve later on. And I wouldn’t have factored the whole “cliche” thing into my overall opinion since it’s possible that because its geared towards a younger audience (namely Pre-K and Kindergarten) that they wouldn’t notice it’s cliched.

Personally speaking, I think Unikitty is the better show. The animation is nicer, the characters are more expressive (even Richard,) the voice cast is funnier and the stories are a lot more memorable. I especially love when Will Arnett guest starred on the show when Unikitty dressed as Batman and when the actual Lego version of Batman appeared. More importantly, when it comes to wackiness; Unikitty succeeds where Titans Go fails

When Unikitty came out, I watched like, two episodes and then I was like, "Eh, it's not for me." Then, RBUK came out and I was like, "Oh no you fucking don't, Nickelodeon!" and I watched every episode of Unikitty that was out at the time and I _loved_ it. RBUK is such a blatant rip-off of and wannabe Unikitty and it shows. Nickelodeon and CN are both dying and Nickelodeon chose to speed up that process by ripping off CN. Fucking hilarious predicament, I'll tell you that.
I feel like people don't give unikitty enough credit where it's due. Heck, even I thought it would be bad and avoided watching it at first, but with episodes like this, it actually gets really creative and uses what it has really well. They actually recently did an episode where they got the voice actor of lego batman to come on, and it was probably the most creative episode so far! The show has really only gone up in quality, and despite some annoying aspects, there is a lot of good in it.

Rbuk is the only standing cat without clothes in the show. Mlp can get away with it not every pony is wearing and plu not as anthropomorphic where the point it have human features like in rbuk

Tbh in my opinion Unikitty won I love the connections, and the jokes were bizarre and random, which is the highlight of the episode. Although I don’t watch a lot of Unikitty, but this episode was just great.
Unikitty had a tough critique solely for being animated by the same studio that does TTG but I absolutely love Unikitty because its random but in a good fun way with some occasional actual plot. Reminds me of old school Spongebob and a dash of Regular Show for the sheer nonsense that happens. As soon as I saw the promo for RBUK I knew Nick was ripping off UK and watching part of an episode confirmed it. Hell, the designs are so fucking similar in color schemes and mannerisms that if it weren't for the completely different art styles I'd have said Nick straight up wholesale lifted the designs. And this isn't the first time they've done this. Sanjay and Craig is basically a poor man's Adventure Time and Regular Show with the latter's art direction. Also her voice! She even sounds like a downgraded Tara Strong doing her Bubbles voice!
RBUK is litterally Unikitty but way more "in your face" and "trying to be hip" with kids, while Unikitty is like that but it's actually funny. Plus, I'm pretty sure they also wanted Tara Strong for RBUK too. I mean just listen to the Voice actress of RBUK and then listen to Unikitty, it's so obviously trying to have the same tone and energy as Tara Strong in Unikitty
As a person who wants to go into character design, I think the problem RBUK is that the colors are mixed on her head, arms and legs look very distracting and yeah it could be the eyes being a tad too small. And the entire series feels like Johnny test, but the main character is season one star butterfly and has that Johnny Test plotline (After JT changed to Flash).

The dogs eating bones thing isn't even accurate. They only chew on the bones in real life. I don't really know any vertebrates aside from certain vultures and maybe hyenas that will eat bones, and even then their entire diet doesn't consist of it. But then again, this is a cartoon with a tie-die bipedal cat with butterfly wings and a horn, why would it be accurate?
Hyenas (they are not canines but feliforms) will ingest bone but it's not the goal. The goal is getting to the marrow. And that is true bearded vultures just strait up swallow bones! And the reason a dog would drag it's butt is most likely from worms.

RBUK (Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty, for those who weren't paying attention to the video) is just a mess from concept I feel. It was a bare bones show because the network, Nickelodeon, said "Someone write us a show for little girls", but no one REALLY wanted to, so they just mashed together the first 4 things commonly associated with the words "girly" or "cute". And all in all, could have been a lot better with a LOT better writting. Though, the character design is ALSO a flaw, at least with miss Kitty herself. The saddest thing, to me at least, is that it wouldn't have taken much to just give a couple reasons for the war. LIke long ago, some cats were causing trouble in Dogland, and so the dogs chased them out, and those cats went back to Catland and claimed the dogs were mean to them for no reason, so the cats decided to attack the dogs, leading to a war with both sides thinking their right because on the dogs side, the cats attacked for no reason, and on the cats side, the dogs attacked for no reason. That took me 5 seconds just to think up. The entirity of RBUK just really screams "We don't care about this show", and that in turn makes any audience member with a brain not care about the show. Because we should we care, if they don't seem to. Or, on that note, they could have still had fun with the idea of it just being a show because nickelodeon wants another show, and played at the war as a joke, pointing out why the war is stupid, and maybe even going the extra mile, and joking about the cliche's used. Like have Annubis and Felicia see the ad together, Felicia gets excited, and then Annubis says something like "isn't that all a little... Cliche?" and play off of that with then Annubis falling victim to dog cliches and RBUK repeating similar centiments but in parody of what he said earlier. Or in general making fun of its own bad quality of writing. But instead, they left the show with bad writing and didn't even try to have fun with it, leaving it to feel soulless and empty.
I love Unikitty a lot more but, I like rainbow butterfly unicorn kitty at least a little bit, I really like the friendship of Felicity and Miguel, and I recommend It Takes Two to Talent
I haven't own a TV in over a year, I asked my friends if anything good was on TV anymore, they said "No, just the reruns". If RBUK is the kind of shows they're putting out these days, I see what they meant.

I think RBUKs designs would be better if she wasn't super colorful, and if they wanted that colorful balance, keep it toned down or just go for a few colors. Yeah, it wouldn't be Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty without the Rainbow. But I feel like Rainbow on an actual character is usually ugly if its the main colors, Rainbow Dash worked since her main color was actually blue, while her secondary colors were a nicely toned rainbow. Thats just my opinion. I get kids shows want poppy colors to get kids interested, but sometimes its just not pleasing to the eye
I liked unikitty since lego movie 1, since the announcement of the TV show that everyone hated before it came out. Rbuk is just too shallow for me tbh. they're both kids shows FOR KIDS but unikitty is like spongebob where it's for everyone including young teens like me but rbuk is like a said before too straight forward and targets a specific demographic. Also I knew I was gonna like unikitty since some of thr people behind teen titans go were on it which I already watch so I had a lot of trust and bias towards it. 😬
Also, regarding the tired "cats and dogs hate each other" trope. Permit me to introduce you to Unikitty and Puppycorn. Despite both of them being a dog and a cat, they still have their sibling love. Despite Puppycorn's seldom seen dog-like urges, Unikitty still treats him well

RBUK looks like someone decided to throw MLP:FIM, Unikitty, and Sailor Moon into a blender, drain out the good points of each show with those straws the shy guys used in paper mario: color splash, and then blend up the shows - minus the parts that make them good.
I have how unikitty was a solid and fan favourite character in the *2014* movie the Lego movie and then that character got a show that she's the main character made with solid main line characters and supporting characters while RBUK was made to be a rip off of unikitty and to rival the show and to steal fans of unikitty, I'm probably never going to watch RBUK and I hope it's not going on YTV or any other programs

It's just so bouncy and cute and innocent, it's worth giving a rewatch. I love the show currently, though not AT nor TAWOG levels, but it deserves a spot there
The designs for RBUK didn't set me off, I think they're fine and a counter measure for Unikitty is that they live in a world based off Legos allowing for simple but cute designs and RBUK having to go for more curves with a softer design. What I can't exactly excuse RBUK for is the writing and jokes, I dunno just something about it makes me cringe and the kind of jokes they do don't exactly match the style. If you look at RBUK at first glance without any context you would assume it's something like Friendship is Magic or Littlest Pet Shop, but then you actually watch an episode of it and suddenly you realize that something about feels completely off.

Plus, I'm pretty sure they also wanted Tara Strong for RBUK too. I mean just listen to the Voice actress of RBUK and then listen to Unikitty, it's so obviously trying to have the same tone and energy as Tara Strong in Unikitty

Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn kitty makes me think of those cheap ripoff mockbusters that you always see in the bargain bin.
As a person who wants to go into character design, I think the problem RBUK is that the colors are mixed on her head, arms and legs look very distracting and yeah it could be the eyes being a tad too small. And the entire series feels like Johnny test, but the main character is season one star butterfly and has that Johnny Test plotline (After JT changed to Flash).
For some reason, I don't get why JT gets a hate treatment before TTG was even a thing. I'll give JT a chance if it gets a revival.

The dogs eating bones thing isn't even accurate. They only chew on the bones in real life. I don't really know any vertebrates aside from certain vultures and maybe hyenas that will eat bones, and even then their entire diet doesn't consist of it. But then again, this is a cartoon with a tie-die bipedal cat with butterfly wings and a horn, why would it be accurate?
Hyenas (they are not canines but feliforms) will ingest bone but it's not the goal. The goal is getting to the marrow.
And that is true bearded vultures just strait up swallow bones!

RBUK (Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty, for those who weren't paying attention to the video) is just a mess from concept I feel. It was a bare bones show because the network, Nickelodeon, said "Someone write us a show for little girls", but no one REALLY wanted to, so they just mashed together the first 4 things commonly associated with the words "girly" or "cute".
And all in all, could have been a lot better with a LOT better writting. Though, the character design is ALSO a flaw, at least with miss Kitty herself. The saddest thing, to me at least, is that it wouldn't have taken much to just give a couple reasons for the war. LIke long ago, some cats were causing trouble in Dogland, and so the dogs chased them out, and those cats went back to Catland and claimed the dogs were mean to them for no reason, so the cats decided to attack the dogs, leading to a war with both sides thinking their right because on the dogs side, the cats attacked for no reason, and on the cats side, the dogs attacked for no reason.
That took me 5 seconds just to think up. The entirity of RBUK just really screams "We don't care about this show", and that in turn makes any audience member with a brain not care about the show. Because we should we care, if they don't seem to. Or, on that note, they could have still had fun with the idea of it just being a show because nickelodeon wants another show, and played at the war as a joke, pointing out why the war is stupid, and maybe even going the extra mile, and joking about the cliche's used. Like have Annubis and Felicia see the ad together, Felicia gets excited, and then Annubis says something like "isn't that all a little... Cliche?" and play off of that with then Annubis falling victim to dog cliches and RBUK repeating similar centiments but in parody of what he said earlier. Or in general making fun of its own bad quality of writing.
But instead, they left the show with bad writing and didn't even try to have fun with it, leaving it to feel soulless and empty.

I haven't own a TV in over a year, I asked my friends if anything good was on TV anymore, they said "No, just the reruns". If RBUK is the kind of shows they're putting out these days, I see what they meant.

I think RBUKs designs would be better if she wasn't super colorful, and if they wanted that colorful balance, keep it toned down or just go for a few colors. Yeah, it wouldn't be Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty without the Rainbow. But I feel like Rainbow on an actual character is usually ugly if its the main colors, Rainbow Dash worked since her main color was actually blue, while her secondary colors were a nicely toned rainbow.
Thats just my opinion. I get kids shows want poppy colors to get kids interested, but sometimes its just not pleasing to the eye
I liked unikitty since lego movie 1, since the announcement of the TV show that everyone hated before it came out. Rbuk is just too shallow for me tbh. they're both kids shows FOR KIDS but unikitty is like spongebob where it's for everyone including young teens like me but rbuk is like a said before too straight forward and targets a specific demographic. Also I knew I was gonna like unikitty since some of thr people behind teen titans go were on it which I already watch so I had a lot of trust and bias towards it. 😬

When Unikitty first aired, I was skeptical at first because it maybe cash grab (but then, so was Lego Movie). But I did watch the first episode and I enjoyed it, surprisingly. It's just so bouncy and cute and innocent, it's worth giving a rewatch. I love the show currently, though not AT nor TAWOG levels, but it deserves a spot there
The designs for RBUK didn't set me off, I think they're fine and a counter measure for Unikitty is that they live in a world based off Legos allowing for simple but cute designs and RBUK having to go for more curves with a softer design. What I can't exactly excuse RBUK for is the writing and jokes, I dunno just something about it makes me cringe and the kind of jokes they do don't exactly match the style. If you look at RBUK at first glance without any context you would assume it's something like Friendship is Magic or Littlest Pet Shop, but then you actually watch an episode of it and suddenly you realize that something about feels completely off.
Don't watch Unikitty, but I'd prefer that over RBUK.
