Just wanted to say thank you for being so casual yet helpful with the way you present, I often times find myself getting annoyed by the guys who make tutorials sound and feel like infomercials XD! Enjoying your fresh approach, keep it up
I've been looking for advice on shakers like that for a while now and have since been using samples that have the shaker shake twice, but creating that sound the way you did makes so much more sense. Cheers mate.
Very helpful. I do some of these things and others, but I don't have any confidence that I'm choosing the right set of things to do. This helps a lot. Thanks!
Such informative videos, Yalcin. These do really help me out a bunch! You deserve a lot more subs than you currently have! Quality content brother, keep it up!
A little detail. You actually have to make the Glue Compressor's little CLIP light flash in order to get an audible difference when Soft-button is on. If the light ain't flashing, then you're not clipping and therefor it doesn't do anything. So you gotta push that make-up gain in order to recieve some results and then either gain-stage it afterwards or mix it in with the dry/wet knob.
I think the tip around 13:00 is very good however the song wont sound great keeping it fully on random. Its best to resample it into a new clip and repeat it in bars of 4 or 8.
Hey man, thanks for the tutorial, it's great. As sugestion can you do an introduction to frequencies? I think somethimes is a difficult topic to understand and it's really common to do mistakes here. I know is a complex topic but at least some points that we should consider. It's just a suggestion, thanks again for your content :)
@@mkrespo2577 I think he should do some kind of masterclass of course we pay for it. At the end the idea is not to copy the sounds of other ppl its just to get to the sound and we can develop our own sound
@@giacomovacci6256 Yeah, i would totally pay for anything that yalcin puts out, for sure quality information, maybe patreon with request or so? idk if he have patreon
@Volo Nomen ... Check out some of the PDFs on classical musical arrangement. You will see how frequencies are split up in a way which actually makes a whole lot of sense! Lemme know if u can't find any. Peace
Great video! It’s amazing how many shuttle changes you can make with the LFOs to bring the sounds alive. I was wondering where can I find that sample library that you use a lot. Much love!
Hello Yalcin, i'm half way through but ill forget if i dont ask this . @ 11:37 u put one of the LFO's on random. I see something unpredictable here, which can be good nor bad. But this feels for me out of our control. So my question is: Do you have instances, where u make several exports just because of this?
great work ! I hace a question how do you enable sidechain support on fabfilter pro mb directly under the chain like the ableton compressor do? I just tring but can't enable this feature .. thanks in advance
@@Alice-Efe yes I think is vst3 that you are using right ? cause on normal vst I can't use it I'm running ableton live 10.001 and I think don't support vst3
You were actually only performing frequency-specific compression on the shakas, not S/C compression. If you also want to get the hi-hat to trigger the compression on the shakers you need to set up the "audio to" from the hi-hat channel to the shaker channel. (Keep up the good work though :) From the manual (for Ableton): In Track 1 (the side chain track) in the 'Audio To' menu select 'Track 2' instead of the default 'Master'. Now, an extra menu appears right below: choose 'FF Pro-MB 3/4' instead of the default 'Track In' to route the track's signal to FabFilter Pro-MB's external side chain inputs. Note: In the scenario above, you won't hear Track 1 (the side-chain signal) anymore, since its audio is only routed to Pro-MB's side-chain inputs. To avoid this, use one additional track (e.g. Track 3), choose 'Track 1' from its 'Audio From' dropdown menu, and in the 'Audio To' menu select 'Track 2' instead of the default 'Master'. Now, from the extra menu below choose 'FF Pro-MB 3/4'. Of course, you can now leave Track 1's 'Audio To' setting to the original 'Master' so you will still hear the signal.
I be wanting to make them sound perfect since I've been watching RUclips vids, and they all have different tips and i just get stuck thinking they won't sound good because of frequencies or it not sounding connected to everything else , or the reverb 🤦♂️🤦♂️
you put the reverb in front of the compressor, i figure out that the compressor doesn't love to much signal and better work in front of all filters. But btw it's up to anybody doesn't mean that i want to give some advice...
How do you put out so many quality tutorials so fast!? What a machine

Hands down the best video on hi hats on the internet! Can't believe it's for free!
No. It wasn't too technical. I realy appreciate technical tips you share. They are valuble and clearly explained. Thank you very much.
Excellent advice about harmonics of certain hi-hats
Gee Wiz thank you soooo much! I have been struggling with my hats and now I have gotten over that hump ❤❤

same. but it was always sort of unrealistic, right? but this technique here sounds way more natural
Man i've been watching your tutorials for about one month and this one blowed my mind! Learned a lot thank you

Lovely advice. That whatsapp web sound tho! hate it when you are focused on your track and then a wild whatsapp notification comes in hahahaha.

how to do the crash flo on decay/release easily in fl studio???
Can you do a video on the sounds from the song Torus by Marbs, Evan Casey and Rinzen?
Don't worry about making these complex! There are more than enough simple ones out there :D
Does it make sense boosting the frequency of your root note in the hats? Or shouldn't you worry about them being strong in the root note?
Does it make sense when drawing the velocity, keeping lower velocities where your compression will hit?
Your Best!

Yes but you have top also enable external when you activate a band. Otherwise Pro MB😊 will just ignore the incoming signal.

Just slap a transient designer for snappy or more sustained hats and an de-esser for making them lest harsh. Done.
Really love your videos but they're kinda stretched. Half an hour is a long time to invest. Cheers anyway!
It is hard to balance, as the new beginners also mailing and telling me even making it longer with more details. Really hard to balance 😊
