I have this radio. It is excellent. (( I also have the CCSKywaveSSB, from C.Crane, XHDATA D-808, Tecsun PL-880,)). These new radios are very sophisticated computers, and have come close to the big expensive table models of just a decade ago [ NOT saying they are there yet]. For the price, these new radios are really something. And I see the high quality of them as well. 📻🙂
I love that radio but I got gypped off eBay I'm getting tired of slapping it on the side of the casing for to receive anything one time and it works fine the next time I turn it on I don't work until I give her a good slap don't know what the problem is I'm thinking to just buy him a brand new one and call it a day the radio does receive air really well. so if anyone's got any suggestions let me know I have screwdrivers
Had to start ordering direct from C Crane, boxes were coming completely crushed in a soft sided mailer from Amazon. Amazon is terrible with shipping items like this.
What's wrong with using the bloody stand, that is integrated into the radio, for listening with the very flexible antenna configured to stand straight up? I've no problems doing so with my unit.
@@OmegaTI You do know that the case serves two purposes right? The cover serves as underwhelming basic protection and as a very functional stand which I have to say does a better job of keeping the unit in a good position for scanning rather than as any form of travel protection for radio.

How much better is Eton Elite Execute than Sony icf sw7600g ? XHDATA D-808 ?
I wish I could answer your question, but I don't have either of those radios, so I cannot comment. Sorry.
Qual sua opinião neste comparativo entre o xhdata 808 e Eton ?
Excellent video. Right to the point. Imagine that!
Thanks. Brevity is best. I've watched a few 20 minute videos in my day wondering why after I finished them.
That’s the old version. In the March 2022 QST magazine it shows the updated version.
Is there a new version of this radio? What are the differences?
magazine? what is this the 1980's?
9 kHz step: 522 - 1620 kHz,
Shortwave 5 kHz step but set AM to 9 kHz step): 1621 - 29,999 kHz.

Amazon actually put yours in a box? I bought mine last month and all they did was slap a shipping label on the retail box!
Oh that's just not right. Was your box damaged?
@@OmegaTI Box wasn't damaged. I tested the radio immediately and it was fine. Still a little unnerving, though!
Amazon basically ships that way now on a lot of things

O que achou na busca manual em SSB ?
Na opção de AM com SSB, seria SW ?
Yes, it does do sideband.

For my use it's not at the proper angle to read at that angle. YMMV.
@@OmegaTI Fair enough.

What about length of telescopic antenna?
It works fine, although there is a jack for an external antenna as well.
@@OmegaTI what is the length of antenna?
31 inches fully extended, six inches retracted.
@@OmegaTI thank you for the information
It.has.kickstand
Yes it does but it is hard to read at such a low angle.
