One of the fascinating things I found with Contagion is that "frozen" is treated as a separate condition to chilled, even though chilled stacks turn in to frozen. I recently had a winter/mort build where I got contagion right before the 19-minute mark. When the skellies hit, as soon as a frozen enemy died to curse, it spread out like a wave. There was an impenetrable ring of frozen/cursed skelletons near the edges of my screen that would die in pulses. it was absolutely wild.
I've been dying to get Contagion on status-stacking Skadi for ages. It's still never come up for me.
This game is so simple and enjoyable
Vampirism is the Legendary that feels _most_ like items in Brotato, with their built in trade-offs. Passing on Vamp isn't "rejecting a Legendary" as much as it is just making a sensible (for this run) tactical decision.
That was a neat run. You tanked the hell out of a lot things, but things pivoted heavily once you developed _infectious burning that stuns_. Watching soooo many mobs run at you, then suddenly stop to stand in flames until you had time to come over and hit or lifelink them was a giggle. I don't know if there's a build that will reliably allow you to replicate this run, but it was a hoot and checking out variants of this mechanic would be neat.
if you get malady, it's most of the time, a win, because if you invest heavily on curse, you can end with 700%+ damage, and malady goes well with Justice's stun, Summer's DoT, Krom's bleeding and Winter's freeze/chill. it is the single legendary that can sinergyze with almost all gods. unfortunelly, leigong doesn't have anything to go with it (and no legendaries to this day)
I actually got a solid helmet that has 5% master offers and 30% legend offers. Which means I'd be sitting right around 18-19% master offers still.
That's still a really good helmet.
Funny thing about the left hand and the right hand, and Leftie being reminded that he is only second best: in almost all runs I have seen (and played), the right hand dies first. :)
What??? Left hand dies first EVERY TIME for me lol
@@gamingwithjeff How? Left Hand is the one that's always running away to do the long range dash attacks. It still had 30% hp left in this video when Right Hand died. (Also they're gargoyles, not dragons)
I truly believe people misplay Summer. All I've heard is how bad she is, but whenever I play her and take Vengeful Strike, Breath of Fire, and Combust I end up clearing entire screens. If you add Incinerate, all of the enemies will die before they ever get near you. It's incredibly powerful and no one does it.
Edit: if you pick up Mort and go the curse route, and some how get Malady, NOTHING lives in the arena. Things in run I had were dying before I could see them.
Problem with Summer is she has NO boss killing ability, also Meteor Swarm is the worst spell in the game but we can ignore that. High luck flare builds are some of my favorite and we totally simp for Summer on this channel, but I understand why everyone thinks she's weak......I am curious if burning would be too strong if it stacked.
flare by itself soloes 99% of the game for you and then pick whatever god you want for bosses imo
like what gods have good boss killing ability. not winter, not justice. lightning kind of, conquest kind of. time and necro still overpowered. I feel like they’re distorting everyone’s idea of what is good. it’s okay for gods to not solo the whole game for you, you get three of them. watching the whole screen die in an armageddon of explosions is worth picking summer
@@Goreblender Precisely! The whole idea reminds me of the Uliana Exploding Palm Monk from Diablo 3. You deal NO single target damage until all of a sudden you deal ALL of the damage, sending a rain of body parts everywhere.
@@Goreblender Yeah flare is BUSTED, I take it every time it pops up. Combine with Path of Fire dash and Combust and you’ve got some fairly passive screen clear. Ideally combined with Lightning Bolt and Ravens for ultimate passive damage
I really hope they'll add stats for item procs/abilities.
I tried out the nixi max luck builds after watching yours and they're so fun. I threw on every item with a proc chance and so she does a bunch of frost breaths, and sickles or frost ring on dash. Couldn't tell if black lightning was doing much though
Problem is black lightnings base proc is so low you're never getting it above 5% at best. Apparently there's an effect that resets dash cooldowns that scales with luck. Trying to find that one for some shenanigans
@@gamingwithjeff oh yeah I had that too on another luck run, I also found an extra dash from the fates so I could not actually use them all.
And yeah, black lightning is so low, but I was hoping to get it to proc on baron since it's base damage is so high and I had 700+ from mayhem (and soulsteal, 0.01% lol).
if other pieces of gear have that effect would be nice to stack that with time who has the same effect passively just walking around the map everything dying haha
Do you have a small tip regarding getting alot of master offers? I have like on average between 10 and 15% of it on my gear, but often I might be lucky to get 1 or 2 masters before the 10 minute mark.
Best thing to due is aim to have as high as possible master offers on Helm and Necklace, should be around 14%. Then another thing to consider is how many levels are you getting in that first 10 minutes. Exp gain is typically the best stat after master offers.
also rng is rng so some runs will just not go well lol
have you tried using that relic with Time's legendary? to see everything die even faster?

I have not beat the game with the other characters. I only beaten it with Skadi and i have 100% luck on her.
The problem with summer as a whole is that shes absolutely useless once you reach dracula. Plenty of aoe damage and itl nuke mob groups easily but forget killing bosses with her it just doesn't cut it like Winter or Lei gong do let alone Mort or Time. Come to think of it Krom and Summer may be the weakest non essential gods in the list (Fate being mendatory you have to make do with them)
As summer rely on combustion and incinerate a lot it tend to fail against bosses as theres no real way to trigger them. If breath of fire and meteor was reliable perhaps?
Maybe just let burning stack on bosses? Or give Summer a new ability that is more suited for single target.

Yep, bar far the most natural unlocks.
dunno why you banished deadly strike when you already picked it up could have just gotten more melee damage.
Other skills are more valuable

Also how does gaining adept offers increase expert?
The rune Im using for Avoron changes it so you can only find adept offers or better as well as converting all adept bonuses to expert bonuses
@@gamingwithjeff Worth noting I believe this effect only takes place at the start of the run. Midway through I believe taking any bonus adept offers does nothing for you.
Everyone but the mage with infinite pull are weak. On average mage get to lv50 by the end of the run.
I can do the same thing without time by using Summer with her legend, Gehenna.
I think that just mean infinite pull mage is overpowered.
@@gamingwithjeff yeah, you're right. I misunderstood. I agree that Merris feels miles better to play because of infinite pull range. Perhaps some buffs to signs for the other characters would be cool to bring them closer to that one.
its 1 life on hit , and the relic does 0,5 dmg and not 5 ... dude ,dont get me wrong if you cant read , its ok , but i guess there are people around you that may help you while editing ...so it seems kind of ultra lazy
So, I normally just kind of ignore negative comments like this, but I guess I'm choosing violence today.
Firstly, life in hits scales with + % healing.
Secondly, this was my first time using said relic. It's not unreasonable to believe that it could have been .5% damage given that there is a precedent in Times legendary ability.
Finally, if you are going to ( not jokingly) imply that I can't read and am lazy when I have over 50 DMD uploads since launch including the world 2nd d30 clear back when it was still difficulty. Well, I would recommend you find a different youtuber because that type of attitude is not welcome here.
