Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal.... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.

I don’t have one as I’ve never been on one
The Bismarck because I never got to sail on it.
Margaritaville. Drinks were horrible. I don’t drink but my husband does, they were watered down and were very expensive. The ship smelled horrible. Think public restroom that was the smell everywhere. Sodas were expensive, you can get a drink package for either soft drinks or alcoholic beverages but it was a rip off. It’s a new cruise line, they bought really old 80s ships and it’s the cheapest cruise you can buy. Food was ok but more expensive than what it should’ve been.

FYI - the Kummelweck, also called a "Beef on Weck", is a roast beef sandwich from western NY, Buffalo area to be specific. Its name is based on the roll, the Kummelweck roll, which traditionally is topped with kosher salt and caraway seeds. They are so delicious, and it is really cool that you can get one on a cruise ship!

We must think alike! I watched your royal suite video because my sisters and I were in that same suite. Today I just saw yall were in a loft suite and we just had the crown loft suite on our last cruise (except it was on the allure). We previously had done an upgrade to our casino cruise too....thats really the way to go. Congrats on the great royal up bid!

I loved Royal Caribbeans home port in Miami. It's so pretty!! The suite looks amazing!!! The bungee cord hack in genius!! We use the hooks but run out of space!

We had a Crown Loft suite on Oasis when it was new. It spoiled us for all our future cruises. We never figured out how to raise they TV in the loft ceiling. Love your videos!!!
Happy (very belated) birthday, Brian’s mom! As someone who is taking my first cruise next year, I loved seeing all the cruise hacks/tips from your parents.
I binged all your videos. This is my first time watching in "real time" and im so excited. Taking my first cruise soon and im super nervous but feel super prepared because of you guys! Any advice for a first time cruiser?
On what ship are you sailing?
the backpack hack really helps (bring first night essentials in a decent sized backpack and board with your bathing suit on! you can definitely enjoy the pool deck with fewer people in it 😊😊 hope you enjoy your first cruise!! it’ll be awesome
I love the backpack hack Isabella listed! Packing a swim suit for the day you board while you are waiting for your luggage can allow you to be one of the first in the pool before it gets too crowded!
Our advice is don’t feel too overwhelmed trying to do it all in one trip. Make sure you take time to relax instead of feeling like you have to be go-go-go and doing all the things. Just pick a few things that are top of your list and save the others for you (inevitable) second or third cruise.
Don’t be afraid to try out the specialty dinning options too. They really are a tier above the free options and in our option totally worth it.
Eat a ton of food everywhere to really get your money’s worth 😜
Take advantage of all the Royal Caribbean excursions at each port, they usually have a great selection and it’s so nice and easy when you book through the cruise line!
I’m sure there are tons more tips that we can’t think of right now - but our number one tip is to have a ton of fun!! Hope you catch the cruising “bug!” 🚢

We have stayed in the Crown Loft 3 different times. It was fun to watch your initial reaction to the Suite because we were the same way our first time. I was talking to the screen trying to tell you how to raise the TV screen. I hope you enjoyed the suite as much as we do.

Do you feel like you can make full use of your suite perks when your traveling companions are in a different class? Years ago we sailed on Princess in a suite with family members in regular balconies, and I feel like we missed out on a lot because we didn't want them to feel excluded.
36:18 the card you got your mom is so cool! My husband and I are going on our first cruise ever on Icon of the Seas. We were not taking our 17 year old daughter but we felt guilty leaving her home so we surprised her with that very same card and on the inside we wrote that she was coming on the cruise with us! 🎉😊

Ok there’s a lot to talk about for this video so let’s dive in. The comedic timing on the quick cut after Brian says “cut to a month from now when there’s a news story about them (the propellers) falling and crushing a kid” and later after Kerry says “Really? it says use slide at own risk.”

You two scored on the Royal Up opportunity for the suite! It looks incredible and can’t believe there are two bathrooms in it. Plus the view is fantastic and love that it is centered perfectly and overlooks a little bit of everything. The decor and design is the same an Ovation of the Seas and Wonder of the Seas, which works well.
Symphony is beautiful! I have sailed on all of the Oasis class ships, except for Allure. Excited to sail on her in July, on the President’s Cruise because I want to experience the restaurants and the venues, no longer on the other ships. Enjoy! 🛳

that roast beef sandwich is usually known as a roast beef on Kimmelwick bun. It's a big thing in Buffalo and northern states. Roast beef on a Kimmelwick roll with gravy. You are right for loving it.. it's an incredible sandwich!

Last year on Wonder, we had some rough seas (couldn’t dock at cocoa cay)
So we were able to stream Netflix onto our cabin tv, through our phones.
It was great, we just ordered room service and watch Jane the Virgin!!
