I like that last quote by President Benson. I think his generation was unique living through 2 world wars, so he was very aware of the possible negative events that can happen in the last days. Sometimes I think we are very shielded from being directly impacted by last days events. We are comfortable in our homes, and we see these things on the news, but we should be personally prepared and always diligent and watching for the day of the Lord.

I just did the math and looked at the First Presidency message for 25 Mar 2020 - and you are correct! it is EXACTLY 1290 days from the first day the temples were closed on 26 Mar 2020 to 7 Oct 2023! I thought it would be close, but didn't think it would be spot-on!
It's not hard to imagine these things being fulfilled now. We've seen the hatred many have for Israel, and we've seen terrorists dragging dead bodies in the streets. The war chapters in the Book of Mormon also seem to have a lot of parallels with the wars against Israel.
One could certainly imagine, but it won't be yet. The current Israel conflict is just another step in that direction. There must be a temple in Independence for Christ to appear in before the events of Armageddon are to take place.
@@battheman777 Yes, I don't think it's going to happen immediately, but the future prophecies are no longer hard to see as being a natural progression of events. Wars usually span years or even decades. We often imagine things happening in a condensed timescale, like in the movies, And then the history books we have centuries compressed into a few pages of reading. You have to be careful not to get sensational or feel like things are going to happen immediately. But based on what is happening now, you can be pretty confident of the era that we are in. We now have to live so that we are always prepared.
We know there are at least four appearances of Jesus Christ. I’m not aware of anything definitive on their order. Why not to the Jews first? How much time between visitations is another question.
@@kurstenmason7132 It's true, I don't think there is a definitive order, but I do think it's likely that Christ's appearance to the Jews will be the last of the prophesied appearances, as that would be a fulfilment of the prophecy "the last shall be first, and the first shall be last." The Jews will be the last people to see and accept Christ as their savior as they were once the first (in new testament times), and hence why I think the last of Christ's appearings will be to the Jews, as that will be the defining moment where they will finally accept him as their savior.

The number 3.5 has special significance and symbolism. 7 is the number for completion and perfection. 3.5 is half of seven and represents something being "ongoing" or "still in progress" or "not completely developed" or even "cut short." In this context, I could see how 3.5 represents the witnesses' lives being "cut short." The 3.5 years of preparation and warning could represent the "ongoing" need to prepare and that our preparation isn't yet finished. We will always need to continue to prepare.

I really enjoyed this video, I think that it's going to be scary when the earthquake happens and everything else but I know everything will be ok, as long as we are following Jesus and keeping the commandments and repenting daily, who knows if the second coming will happen in my life time. Hope I'm not alone in seeing a difference between the "abomination of desolation" or the siege of Jerusalem in early Christian time and in the last days, compared with the "desolation of abomination" (see Sec 84: 117 and and Sec. 88: 85) that has been/is now/will be plaguing the world in opposition to righteousness!! The same words are used to describe different circumstances!!

I looked up on calendar calculator 3.5 years from Israel attack Oct 7, 2023 and it turns out to be April 6, 2027. Curious if anyone else has discovered this? It will be interesting to see if this war goes on til then and if Christ comes to save the Jews on His birthday!
Matthew 24:22 where the Bible clearly tells us that if we are alive in the end e.g. when satan arrives pretending to be Jesus the ride will be pretty hard and God has shortened the tribulation period to 5 months to aid us in the process. This of course does away with any kind of flying away rapture concept because we (the elect) must be here for it to be shortened.

Interesting. I watched a video from a non-LDS source that also referred to Gog as being Turkey. And mor recently Turkey seems to be on a path to a return to its Moslem roots. Here's a question, though. Does the statement about all nations fighting against Israel refer to the governments of those nations, or to people from those nations joining some huge international army? I ask because, with the huge number of so-called refugees flooding the Western nations, I can see many of them going back to the ME for a crack at attacking Israel.
"Mount of Megiddo" is outdated information. There a Michael Heiser video which discusses the Greek in relation to the Hebrew language, and the rendering which better agrees with all the end times prophecies is "Mountain of Assembly". There is no Mount or Mountain at Megiddo. There is the tel of an old city, but this is an artificial mound from thousands of years of building and rebuilding.
I just got goosebumps; when I was a new young convert at 15, I had a dream. In this dream I entered a building I had never seen before. There were people who looked like disaster victims filling all the pews. I saw people with like hangers and clothing. There were brethren of the quorum of the twelve etc at the front of this church building. I walked in and everyone was looking at me; as if expecting me to make my report. I came in and I saw President Hinckley at the front at the pulpit, again looking at me. There was a feeling all around of things being dire. And I was to report on something as I came in. I had never seen the building before. Well, some weeks after this dream, I by chance found this building. It was the ASSEMBLY Hall in Salt Lake City. I had never been in or seen it before. But when I walked in I knew it was the building of my dream. It could all just be symbolic of our places of Assembly as Saints; each in their stakes; with their pertainant leaders. (I often think of Gordon b Hinckley as “my prophet”; the one of my youth or the beginning of my time, etc. though there will be several leaders connected to me) I think the Lord just wants us to be prepared and report, and stay close to Him. So many mysteries to be revealed in time.
I believe that everything written in the Book of Daniel as well as Revelation is symbolic. None of it was meant to be interpreted literally. We need to stop investing ourselves in sensationalism & war and focus on the spiritual.
So many different views of what Armageddon is, that is spoken of at Revelation 16:16, that is "the war of the great day of God the Almighty" ?(Rev 16:14) It is NOT a war that will be located in the Valley of Jezreel, but a world situation that places the political nations against a heavenly government called God's Kingdom. To grasp what Armageddon is, it is important to understand that near the city of ancient Megiddo on the southern side of the Valley of Jezreel decisive battles were fought, whereby God, whose name is Jehovah (see Isa 12:2, KJV), annihilated the opposing armies. The examples at Judges 4-8 is the basis for comprehending what Armageddon is in the Bible "book" of Revelation. At Judges 4 and 5, Barak was commissioned by Jehovah, through Deborah the prophetess, to lead an army of 10,000 Israelites of the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun from Mount Tabor into battle against Sisera, King Jabin of the Canaanites "general", that had oppressed the Israelites for 20 years.(Judges 4:1-3) At Judges 4:7, Deborah tells Barak Jehovah's words: "I will bring to you Sisʹe·ra, the chief of Jaʹbin’s army, along with his war chariots and his troops to the stream of Kiʹshon (which apparently originated near Megiddo, and emptied into the Mediterranean Sea), and I will give him into your hand.’” How did the battle turn out ? Jehovah caused a flash flood in the stream of Kishon (Judges 5:21), causing Sisera's 900 war chariots with iron scythes apparently became stuck in the mud or had considerable difficulty driving them, as Judges 4:15 says: "Then Jehovah threw Sisʹe·ra and all his war chariots and all the army into confusion before the sword of Baʹrak. Finally Sisʹe·ra got down from his chariot and fled on foot." How decisive was the battle ? Verse 16 states: "Baʹrak chased after the war chariots and the army as far as Ha·roʹsheth of the nations (about 15 miles northwest of Megiddo). So Sisʹe·ra’s WHOLE ARMY fell by the sword; NOT EVEN ONE remained." The battle apparently started near Megiddo, but is also somehow connected with En-dor, some 15 miles northeast of Megiddo.(Ps 83:9, 10) Sisera now ran for his life after abandoning his chariot, running for several miles southeast of Megiddo to "the tent of Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite" at Kedesh, because Heber was friends with King Jabin.(Judges 14:11, 17) Jael welcomed Sisera into her tent and gave him some milk to drink, for he was exhausted, and then he lay down and fell asleep. Then Jael stealthily approached Sisera and drove a tent pin through his temples, so that he died.(Judges 4:18-22) Another example is at Judges 6-8, whereby Gideon is called upon by Jehovah to break the shackles of the Midianites seven year rule over the Israelites, in which 300 Israelite men "fought" against 135,000 Midianite soldiers "at the hill of Moreh in the valley plain (of Jezreel, about 10 miles east of Megiddo)."(Judges 7:1) Within a short period of time, 120,000 soldiers had been put to death, with only 15,000 remaining that had withdrawn to the city of Karkor, along with Midianite Kings Zebah and Zalmunna.(Judges 8:10) Gideon now finishes these last ones off, attacking Karkor, and puts to death Zebah and Zalmunna.(Judges 8:21; see also Ps 83:11) So, these two battles near the city of Megiddo were decisively in Jehovah's favor, and is picturesque of Armageddon as "the Mountain of Megiddo" or a battle that is already " a done deal", firm, unshakeable, in which the political nations and their supporters will be annihilated by God's heavenly Kingdom.(Dan 2:44, 45; Ps 2:1-9; Rev 19:11-21) At Daniel 2, Armageddon is seen, saying: "In the days of those kings (or of "the feet and toes, partly of iron mixed and partly of clay", Dan 2:33, the Anglo/American world power that came into existence near the end of World War I) the God of heaven will set up a kingdom (or heavenly government) that will never be destroyed." "And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. The Grand God has made known to the king what will happen in the future. The dream is true, and its interpretation is trustworthy.” At Psalms 2, it says this about Armageddon: "Why are the nations agitated and the peoples muttering an empty thing ?(see Rev 16:13; also Eze 38:10-12) The kings of the earth (or political leaders) take their stand and high officials gather together as one against Jehovah and against his anointed one (Jesus Christ). They say: “Let us tear off their shackles and throw off their ropes (rejecting Jehovah's right to rule over the earth) !” "The One enthroned in the heavens will laugh; Jehovah will scoff at them. I am not a Mormon. There are so many churches in the world, why should I this one? I mean, like, wasn't Joseph Smith born in the middle of the 1800's, If he was speaking for God than who was speaking for God before that?
That’s a good question. After Christ was crucified, the apostles were eventually hunted and killed off. After that point in time we see the formation of many churches that claim to be the truth (or were created out of convenience for rulers). However, since the apostles were martyred, the authority given from Christ to act in His name and organize His church was lost. This brought about the period of time prophesied of in Amos 8:11-12 when there was a famine of hearing the word of God. Joseph Smith, born in 1805, prayed because he was confused by all the churches with conflicting messages. He was told none were right and was called to restore the true Church with authority from Christ.
Each dispensation have their own prophet in the beginning of time in the middle of time and in the fullness of time. The Bible mentioned all the prophets of old who commune with God for the benefit of mankind the Saviour in the middle of time because he is the centre of everything also apostles chosen by Christ to spread the gospel. Because the heaven never close for God's children in a fullness of time God chose the young uneducated boy Joseph Smith to restored the truth that was taken away. Joseph Smith was born in 1805, yes. There was no prophet on the earth for a time before the Prophet Joseph Smith restored the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. Following the death of Jesus Christ, wicked people persecuted and killed many Church members. Other Church members drifted from the principles taught by Jesus Christ and His Apostles. The Apostles were killed, and the priesthood authority including the keys to direct and receive revelation for the Church of Jesus Christ was taken from the earth. Because the Church was no longer led by priesthood authority, error crept into Church teachings. Good people and much truth remained, but the Gospel as established by Jesus Christ was lost. This period is called the Great Apostasy. With the death of the Apostles of Jesus Christ, the truth was lost once again. This apostasy resulted in the formation of many churches with conflicting teachings. During this time, many men and women sought the truth, but they were unable to find it. Many good people believed in God and Jesus Christ and tried to understand and teach truth, but they did not have the full gospel or priesthood authority. As a result, each generation inherited a state of apostasy as people were influenced by what previous generations passed on, including changes to Christ’s Gospel. God knew there would be an apostasy. Jesus Christ and the Father appeared to him and told him that none of the churches on the earth were His church. It was then that Joseph was called as a prophet of God, such as in the days of old, and through him God restored the authority of the priesthood and the original church of Christ on the Earth. There are many interesting and incredible things that happened since then, but a mere YT comment can’t explain everything. But I guarantee you that if you do your own research of the Book of Mormon, God will also confirm the truth of these things to you as He did for me. I was an evangelical Christian, but nine years ago came across the Book of Mormon and decided to see if this was indeed something that came from God or not. I read many chapters of it, went to church on Sunday and decided to earnestly pray to God to know if this was indeed the original church of Christ that was restored on the Earth. And I received an answer and a spiritual witness of the truth of these things. My life has been more fulfilling and rewarding since that day. Having the Gift of the Holy Ghost, which is received after your baptism, has helped me become a better person and to feel more love for all of God’s children. If you would like to know if these things are true, and you are willing to follow God if He reveals His ways to you, than I would try reading the Book of Mormon and also earnestly praying about it. Agreed. It's not yet. If we read in Daniel 11 :13,15 it says the king of the North will come with a great army that none have the strength to withstand. Currently Israel has no enemy that fits that description. However, anti-Israeli sentiment is growing in Europe and the United states. Could they join the coalition against Israel at some future date? Possibly. Or, some of suggested the US might be neutralized by war before the great last battle.

Sincere question. You don’t have THE answer but I’m posing it. What about those of us who have lost our faith specifically in “The Church” (LDS/Mormon) because they have betrayed our trust? And so they have so don’t try to tell me it isn’t so. I’m very well informed, studious, thoughtful, introspective, moral, and aware. The church has not been honest in their dealings with their fellowmen. I retain a hope in Christ and seek Him but I cannot continue as a believing member of the Mormon church any longer, my conscience will not allow it. I don't feel the same as you. The church hasn't betrayed my trust. If you're referring to the tithing moneys they have been saving and tax issues with their investment arm, that's not enough in my opinion, to lose faith over. I was satisfied with their public statement and explanations regarding the issue. Also, the scriptures (both the Bible and Book of Mormon) are full of verses warning us against trusting in man's wisdom, which can change as more information comes to light. I wouldn't even trust in my own wisdom. Truth is revealed through the spirit, and so I will put my trust in God.

It's not hard to imagine these things being fulfilled now. We've seen the hatred many have for Israel, and we've seen terrorists dragging dead bodies in the streets.
The war chapters in the Book of Mormon also seem to have a lot of parallels with the wars against Israel.
One could certainly imagine, but it won't be yet. The current Israel conflict is just another step in that direction. There must be a temple in Independence for Christ to appear in before the events of Armageddon are to take place.

Wars usually span years or even decades. We often imagine things happening in a condensed timescale, like in the movies, And then the history books we have centuries compressed into a few pages of reading. You have to be careful not to get sensational or feel like things are going to happen immediately.
But based on what is happening now, you can be pretty confident of the era that we are in. We now have to live so that we are always prepared.
We know there are at least four appearances of Jesus Christ. I’m not aware of anything definitive on their order. Why not to the Jews first? How much time between visitations is another question.
@@kurstenmason7132 It's true, I don't think there is a definitive order, but I do think it's likely that Christ's appearance to the Jews will be the last of the prophesied appearances, as that would be a fulfilment of the prophecy "the last shall be first, and the first shall be last." The Jews will be the last people to see and accept Christ as their savior as they were once the first (in new testament times), and hence why I think the last of Christ's appearings will be to the Jews, as that will be the defining moment where they will finally accept him as their savior.

The number 3.5 has special significance and symbolism. 7 is the number for completion and perfection. 3.5 is half of seven and represents something being "ongoing" or "still in progress" or "not completely developed" or even "cut short."
In this context, I could see how 3.5 represents the witnesses' lives being "cut short." The 3.5 years of preparation and warning could represent the "ongoing" need to prepare and that our preparation isn't yet finished. We will always need to continue to prepare.

Matthew 24:22 where the Bible clearly tells us that if we are alive in the end e.g. when satan arrives pretending to be Jesus the ride will be pretty hard and God has shortened the tribulation period to 5 months to aid us in the process. This of course does away with any kind of flying away rapture concept because we (the elect) must be here for it to be shortened.

Interesting. I watched a video from a non-LDS source that also referred to Gog as being Turkey. And mor recently Turkey seems to be on a path to a return to its Moslem roots. Here's a question, though. Does the statement about all nations fighting against Israel refer to the governments of those nations, or to people from those nations joining some huge international army? I ask because, with the huge number of so-called refugees flooding the Western nations, I can see many of them going back to the ME for a crack at attacking Israel.
"Mount of Megiddo" is outdated information. There a Michael Heiser video which discusses the Greek in relation to the Hebrew language, and the rendering which better agrees with all the end times prophecies is "Mountain of Assembly".
There is no Mount or Mountain at Megiddo. There is the tel of an old city, but this is an artificial mound from thousands of years of building and rebuilding.
I just got goosebumps; when I was a new young convert at 15, I had a dream. In this dream I entered a building I had never seen before. There were people who looked like disaster victims filling all the pews. I saw people with like hangers and clothing. There were brethren of the quorum of the twelve etc at the front of this church building. I walked in and everyone was looking at me; as if expecting me to make my report. I came in and I saw President Hinckley at the front at the pulpit, again looking at me. There was a feeling all around of things being dire. And I was to report on something as I came in. I had never seen the building before.
Well, some weeks after this dream, I by chance found this building. It was the ASSEMBLY Hall in Salt Lake City. I had never been in or seen it before. But when I walked in I knew it was the building of my dream.
It could all just be symbolic of our places of Assembly as Saints; each in their stakes; with their pertainant leaders.
(I often think of Gordon b Hinckley as “my prophet”; the one of my youth or the beginning of my time, etc. though there will be several leaders connected to me)
I think the Lord just wants us to be prepared and report, and stay close to Him. So many mysteries to be revealed in time.

I believe that everything written in the Book of Daniel as well as Revelation is symbolic. None of it was meant to be interpreted literally. We need to stop investing ourselves in sensationalism & war and focus on the spiritual.

So many different views of what Armageddon is, that is spoken of at Revelation 16:16, that is "the war of the great day of God the Almighty" ?(Rev 16:14) It is NOT a war that will be located in the Valley of Jezreel, but a world situation that places the political nations against a heavenly government called God's Kingdom.
To grasp what Armageddon is, it is important to understand that near the city of ancient Megiddo on the southern side of the Valley of Jezreel decisive battles were fought, whereby God, whose name is Jehovah (see Isa 12:2, KJV), annihilated the opposing armies. The examples at Judges 4-8 is the basis for comprehending what Armageddon is in the Bible "book" of Revelation.
At Judges 4 and 5, Barak was commissioned by Jehovah, through Deborah the prophetess, to lead an army of 10,000 Israelites of the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun from Mount Tabor into battle against Sisera, King Jabin of the Canaanites "general", that had oppressed the Israelites for 20 years.(Judges 4:1-3)
At Judges 4:7, Deborah tells Barak Jehovah's words: "I will bring to you Sisʹe·ra, the chief of Jaʹbin’s army, along with his war chariots and his troops to the stream of Kiʹshon (which apparently originated near Megiddo, and emptied into the Mediterranean Sea), and I will give him into your hand.’”
How did the battle turn out ? Jehovah caused a flash flood in the stream of Kishon (Judges 5:21), causing Sisera's 900 war chariots with iron scythes apparently became stuck in the mud or had considerable difficulty driving them, as Judges 4:15 says: "Then Jehovah threw Sisʹe·ra and all his war chariots and all the army into confusion before the sword of Baʹrak. Finally Sisʹe·ra got down from his chariot and fled on foot."
How decisive was the battle ? Verse 16 states: "Baʹrak chased after the war chariots and the army as far as Ha·roʹsheth of the nations (about 15 miles northwest of Megiddo). So Sisʹe·ra’s WHOLE ARMY fell by the sword; NOT EVEN ONE remained." The battle apparently started near Megiddo, but is also somehow connected with En-dor, some 15 miles northeast of Megiddo.(Ps 83:9, 10)
Sisera now ran for his life after abandoning his chariot, running for several miles southeast of Megiddo to "the tent of Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite" at Kedesh, because Heber was friends with King Jabin.(Judges 14:11, 17) Jael welcomed Sisera into her tent and gave him some milk to drink, for he was exhausted, and then he lay down and fell asleep. Then Jael stealthily approached Sisera and drove a tent pin through his temples, so that he died.(Judges 4:18-22)
Another example is at Judges 6-8, whereby Gideon is called upon by Jehovah to break the shackles of the Midianites seven year rule over the Israelites, in which 300 Israelite men "fought" against 135,000 Midianite soldiers "at the hill of Moreh in the valley plain (of Jezreel, about 10 miles east of Megiddo)."(Judges 7:1)
Within a short period of time, 120,000 soldiers had been put to death, with only 15,000 remaining that had withdrawn to the city of Karkor, along with Midianite Kings Zebah and Zalmunna.(Judges 8:10) Gideon now finishes these last ones off, attacking Karkor, and puts to death Zebah and Zalmunna.(Judges 8:21; see also Ps 83:11)
So, these two battles near the city of Megiddo were decisively in Jehovah's favor, and is picturesque of Armageddon as "the Mountain of Megiddo" or a battle that is already " a done deal", firm, unshakeable, in which the political nations and their supporters will be annihilated by God's heavenly Kingdom.(Dan 2:44, 45; Ps 2:1-9; Rev 19:11-21)
At Daniel 2, Armageddon is seen, saying: "In the days of those kings (or of "the feet and toes, partly of iron mixed and partly of clay", Dan 2:33, the Anglo/American world power that came into existence near the end of World War I) the God of heaven will set up a kingdom (or heavenly government) that will never be destroyed."
"And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will CRUSH and put an end to all these kingdoms (or the entire political system with its supporters), and it alone will stand forever, just as you saw that out of the mountain (Jehovah's universal sovereignty) a stone (God's Kingdom) was cut not by hands (or not through politics), and that it crushed the iron, the copper, the clay, the silver, and the gold. The Grand God has made known to the king what will happen in the future. The dream is true, and its interpretation is trustworthy.”
At Psalms 2, it says this about Armageddon: "Why are the nations agitated and the peoples muttering an empty thing ?(see Rev 16:13; also Eze 38:10-12) The kings of the earth (or political leaders) take their stand and high officials gather together as one against Jehovah and against his anointed one (Jesus Christ). They say: “Let us tear off their shackles and throw off their ropes (rejecting Jehovah's right to rule over the earth) !”
"The One enthroned in the heavens will laugh; Jehovah will scoff at them. At that time he will speak to them in his anger and terrify them in his burning anger, saying: “I myself have installed my king (Jesus Christ) on (symbolic) Zion, my (symbolic) holy mountain (that is NOT literal Zion where Jerusalem is located, but represents Jehovah's almighty sovereignty)........."

At Matthew 24, Jesus shows how Armageddon will begin: "Immediately after the tribulation of those days (or after the destruction of the religions of the world called Babylon the Great by the political elements, see Rev 17:16, 17), (symbolically) the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken (or the world's "systems", both political and commercial will begin failing, crashing)."
"Then the sign of the Son of man (or display of power beyond imagination) will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief (being fully aware that they are doomed to destruction), and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven (denoting being invisible) with power and great glory."(Matt 24:29, 30)
Only a "few" will survive Armageddon (see Matt 7:14), as Revelation 7:9-17 shows, those who are wearing symbolic "white robes", that pictures their righteous standing before Jehovah and "waving (symbolic) palm branches" that denotes their seeking peace with Jehovah, wanting him to be his everlasting "children" and live on the paradise earth as "meek" ones as Jehovah originally purposed when he created the first human couple some 6,000 years ago.(Gen 1:26-31; Ps 37:11, 29)

I mean, like, wasn't Joseph Smith born in the middle of the 1800's, If he was speaking for God than who was speaking for God before that?
That’s a good question. After Christ was crucified, the apostles were eventually hunted and killed off. After that point in time we see the formation of many churches that claim to be the truth (or were created out of convenience for rulers). However, since the apostles were martyred, the authority given from Christ to act in His name and organize His church was lost. This brought about the period of time prophesied of in Amos 8:11-12 when there was a famine of hearing the word of God.
Joseph Smith, born in 1805, prayed because he was confused by all the churches with conflicting messages. He was told none were right and was called to restore the true Church with authority from Christ.
Each dispensation have their own prophet in the beginning of time in the middle of time and in the fullness of time. The Bible mentioned all the prophets of old who commune with God for the benefit of mankind the Saviour in the middle of time because he is the centre of everything also apostles chosen by Christ to spread the gospel. Because the heaven never close for God's children in a fullness of time God chose the young uneducated boy Joseph Smith to restored the truth that was taken away. In fullness of time we have prophets and apostles just like in the time of old. I hope this will help your concern.

There was no prophet on the earth for a time before the Prophet Joseph Smith restored the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth.
Following the death of Jesus Christ, wicked people persecuted and killed many Church members. Other Church members drifted from the principles taught by Jesus Christ and His Apostles. The Apostles were killed, and the priesthood authority including the keys to direct and receive revelation for the Church of Jesus Christ was taken from the earth.
Because the Church was no longer led by priesthood authority, error crept into Church teachings. Good people and much truth remained, but the Gospel as established by Jesus Christ was lost. This period is called the Great Apostasy.
With the death of the Apostles of Jesus Christ, the truth was lost once again.
This apostasy resulted in the formation of many churches with conflicting teachings. During this time, many men and women sought the truth, but they were unable to find it. Many good people believed in God and Jesus Christ and tried to understand and teach truth, but they did not have the full gospel or priesthood authority.
As a result, each generation inherited a state of apostasy as people were influenced by what previous generations passed on, including changes to Christ’s Gospel.
God knew there would be an apostasy. Through an Old Testament prophet, He said:

Some inspired people, such as Martin Luther and John Calvin, recognized that practices and doctrines had been changed or lost. They tried to reform the churches to which they belonged. Without priesthood authority, however, Christ’s Gospel could not be returned to its original form.
A restoration was needed. Therefore, since many people like the Prophet Joseph Smith were diligently seeking the truth, the Lord called Joseph Smith to be the prophet, seer, and revelator to restore His Church back to the earth.
If you were to learn that the original church that Christ founded on the Earth was restored in the last days by His hand, would you want to join it? That is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
After the martyrdom of the original apostles of Christ, the priesthood authority and organization of the Church was lost. That’s why we have so many sects of Christianism today. They are the attempts of well-intentioned and ill-intentioned people of maintaining that original structure even after losing that chain of authority coming directly from Christ by the laying on of hands.
In 1820, young Joseph Smith was conflicted on what church he should join and thus prayed to God in order to know the truth. Jesus Christ and the Father appeared to him and told him that none of the churches on the earth were His church. It was then that Joseph was called as a prophet of God, such as in the days of old, and through him God restored the authority of the priesthood and the original church of Christ on the Earth.
There are many interesting and incredible things that happened since then, but a mere YT comment can’t explain everything. But I guarantee you that if you do your own research of the Book of Mormon, God will also confirm the truth of these things to you as He did for me.
I was an evangelical Christian, but nine years ago came across the Book of Mormon and decided to see if this was indeed something that came from God or not. I read many chapters of it, went to church on Sunday and decided to earnestly pray to God to know if this was indeed the original church of Christ that was restored on the Earth. And I received an answer and a spiritual witness of the truth of these things. My life has been more fulfilling and rewarding since that day. Having the Gift of the Holy Ghost, which is received after your baptism, has helped me become a better person and to feel more love for all of God’s children.
If you would like to know if these things are true, and you are willing to follow God if He reveals His ways to you, than I would try reading the Book of Mormon and also earnestly praying about it. Every honest heart is entitled to an answer. And I testify that God truly answers honest prayers. "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.” Matthew 7:7
As it says in Corinthians, truth comes by the spirit. The Spirit of God will reveal the truth to you. Thats how we know.

Agreed. It's not yet. If we read in Daniel 11 :13,15 it says the king of the North will come with a great army that none have the strength to withstand. Currently Israel has no enemy that fits that description. However, anti-Israeli sentiment is growing in Europe and the United states. Could they join the coalition against Israel at some future date? Possibly. Or, some of suggested the US might be neutralized by war before the great last battle.

As a Muslim, I want to tell everyone watching that there will be 2nd coming for Jesus, we don’t dispute it. Jesus will fix what humans messed up thinking he is god. Jesus is just a prophet and a human, not God. Also the Muslim are not your enemies as you believe. Your book were messed up by humans hands that why Jesus is coming back. there is confusion and contradiction in your videos. In The Great Earthquake video you say that Zion has no mountains currently and the earthquake will make mountains there and you also say that the earthquake is after Armageddon but in the Armageddon video you say that the saints will have to go to the mountains of Zion when they see Armageddon begin in Israel but how can we do that if Zion doesn't have any mountains yet

Sincere question. You don’t have THE answer but I’m posing it. What about those of us who have lost our faith specifically in “The Church” (LDS/Mormon) because they have betrayed our trust? And so they have so don’t try to tell me it isn’t so. I’m very well informed, studious, thoughtful, introspective, moral, and aware. The church has not been honest in their dealings with their fellowmen. I retain a hope in Christ and seek Him but I cannot continue as a believing member of the Mormon church any longer, my conscience will not allow it. If you’re uncertain how the church has been deceitful, you’re not paying attention.
You mean some imperfect people that are members of the church did something that you chose to be upset by so you walked away from it all instead of just living the gospel and taking care to live a Christ like life and doing what is right? The doctrine it true, individual people make mistakes! Don’t lose your way on the path because you are more worried about what others have done, just keep moving forward and worrying about how you are doing.
I don't feel the same as you. The church hasn't betrayed my trust. If you're referring to the tithing moneys they have been saving and tax issues with their investment arm, that's not enough in my opinion, to lose faith over. I was satisfied with their public statement and explanations regarding the issue. Also, the scriptures (both the Bible and Book of Mormon) are full of verses warning us against trusting in man's wisdom, which can change as more information comes to light. I wouldn't even trust in my own wisdom. Truth is revealed through the spirit, and so I will put my trust in God.

Ezekiel 38 says they will all be ridding on horses. Interesting that it didn't use some metaphors to try and describe tanks and motorized troop transports. Makes me wonder if between now and then something happens that destroys the technological advances that have been made and the world is set back to not having access to oil. Perhaps all the natural disasters and upsetting of production chains pushes the world back to ancient methods of getting around. And coming form the north I think represents gentiles which would have a hard time coming by sea if ships don't have ways to propel themselves.
