Thank you everyone for your positive feedback! I plan to make more tutorials on diction or singing -- let me know if there are special requests for specific repertoire!
Woooooow, I needed you ❤️❤️❤️ i couldn't figure out the whole mezzo line by myself so I was looking for a tutorial. Not that I can even remotely sing this, but God knows how much I want to and how I adore this ethereal melody in perfect harmony. Thank you so much for making it easier to learn. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for the effort! Unfortunately, there are a couple of mistakes already in the first lines: - The "c" in "blanc" is mute, i.e. it's not pronounced. - The "r" in "fleur", on the other hand, is pronounced. - You pronouce "glissons" as "glissant". (The nasal "a" and the nasal "o" are two different sounds in French. If you mix them up, the meaning changes.) - In "fuyant" the "u" should be short, and the "y" should be long. You say it the other way round. Etc. etc. ... The video is a nice effort, and you are trying to be helpful. Thank you for that! But I advise all singers who are studying the piece to rather trust the recording of a native speaker... (I found for instance ruclips.net/video/TJcHD_CEsos/видео.html.)
Sous le dôme épais
Où le blanc jasmin
À la rose s'assemble
Sur la rive en fleurs,
Riant au matin
Viens, descendons ensemble.
Doucement glissons de son flot charmant
Suivons le courant fuyant
Dans l'onde frémissante
D'une main nonchalante
Viens, gagnons le bord,
Où la source dort et
L'oiseau, l'oiseau chante.
Sous le dôme épais
Où le blanc jasmin,
Ah!
Descendons
Ensemble!

As a French born American, I love your pronunciation.
