Love and miss Ft Sill and the Lawton OK area.
Great Video - Stationed there in 1959 before going to Germany! Just went to Artillery Museum on the base! Amazing the guns there. My gun in Germany was 280 MM cannon!. They is one at museum!
I was stationed at Ft. Sill for FAOBC back in 2001. Summer time at Sill was blazing hot.
My father was stationed here from 1955-57. We lived on 1604 Snow Road.
Thank you so much for this video!!! Brings back memories.
Ft Sill is the best duty station i ever been stationed in

Does anyone remember Jacky's place it was a bar in the 60s my great grandma owned it
@@andruestone3104 That all depends on where you hang out and who you hang out with, like everywhere. Make better choices.
I was stationed here at 2/18 FA MLRS 1995 - 1999. I must admit I do miss Ft. Sill / Lawton.
M. Rohde I was in 6-32 from 1997 to 2000, loved every minute of it
I was in B Batt. 2/18 FA back in 1973-1975. My second home was a bar called the Spot. Was next to the only (at the time) Taco Bell in Lawton. I think it was on Cashe Rd... (Maybe?)
69gunnr My spot was the strip clubs and spending Saturday night cruising Sheridan Rd. I'm sure a lot changed between the time you were there and 1995. Hell I'm sure it's changed since I've been there.
I was there at age 3 with my Dad and three brothers around 1960 when my Dad was in OCS. All I remember is giant cockroaches in the laundry building. I have many family photographs of Hercules missiles etc. from that time
@ 4:29 There must have been more helium in the air back in the 1950s.
my stomach hurts
Nice to see home as it was before I was born. 3rd Corps Artillery all the way!
My dad was stationed here in 1959,1960
My aunts and uncles could not sleep on Friday nights when they visited us in adjacent Lawton... They would shoot the guns before weekend leave every Friday night... They still do...
Aww the Cpl was so nervous trying to remember what he had to say.
and all he cared about was that it was one of three tests they had to pass - f all what it was supposed to be teaching them
I was there in 1968 want the Lawton came back to the Fort Sill bought a diamond ring, couldn't get out of bed next morning dang hangover I couldn't stand up straight for reveley.
