SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK - Official Trailer - HD

- From the dark imaginations of Academy Award®-winner Guillermo del Toro and acclaimed director André Øvredal, based on the iconic book series, comes Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark - in theaters this summer.
It’s 1968 in America. Change is blowing in the wind...but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley where for generations, the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time-stories that have a way of becoming all too real for a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying home.

A Netflix series with an episode per story would've been dope
Oh my God I wish they did that instead of this movie
YESSSSSSS!
Basically like Black Mirror
A lot of the stories aren’t really long enough to practically convert into an episode

@Parth Kapoor i mean at least the kids in IT didn't have anything to do with what was happening, though. In many scary movies featuring minors the main characters are always the ones at fault.

just watched it. loved it too!
I kinda wish they made this into a TV series as an anthology. Nonetheless I still look forward to seeing this.
Yeah. One horror story per episode.
Similar to Tales from the Crypt, or even Channel Zero with one short season per story.
On the middle ground horror shows like Ash vs Evil Dead, and Penny Dreadful only lasted 3 seasons. Those 2 series deserved to last longer than other horror shows we could care less about. In the future we will be getting a Child's Play tv series. Will it do the slasher sub genre justice?
Exactly what I was thinking as I watched this. I'm worried that they'll try to fit in too much source material to make it a good 2-hour movie. Looks very promising though!
idk, movies seem to provide quality over quantity if this was a tv show it probably wouldn't look as good
