@GrapeSkoda no. At one point atreus asks mimir if there is a way to bring back Brok. Mimir says no explaining without a complete soul that individual no longer exists as they are denied an afterlife. Also Odin once says while disguised as tyr, after a while a soul in the lake of souls becomes one with the light for too long, it becomes one with the light and is at peace. Mimir also said if there was a way to bring back brok they would of done it already or instructed Sindri what to do to retrieve brok and revive him. So for two in game reasons brok cannot be retrieved.
@GrapeSkoda The game explained it through mimir: Once an incomplete souled individual dies again, they are denied an afterlife so there is nothing to recover. Just stops existing. If there was a way to bring back brok mimir would of told sindri how to do it or be a side quest. Plus even if the soul fragments could be collected and just returned to the light of alfheim, if brok is at peace, then he wouldn't be able to be collected or known. (that's why when we revisit the light of alfheim Atreus mentions he used to hear faye but can't anymore. Odin disguised as tyr explains why saying she's one with the light and at peace.)
@GrapeSkoda it was for the narrative to stop the realms from being destroyed by garm. also it was to give beautiful visuals to add multiple emotional elements to a scene. Sindri will have to come to terms with what he has done on his own. He SHOULD feel guilty because what he did was horribly selfish and had immense consequences that fell on someone else. He couldn't let go of his brother and, in the end, his actions denied his sibling an afterlife. Brok chose to forgive his brother to ease Sindri's guilt. Ngl, these brother's chemistry is something... They really compliment each other... Just like what Mimir said, their bickering is what made them known for, (aside from their work as blacksmith). Yet, I still prefer Brokk. His enthusiasm, choices of words and laughs, which really make me like him more...
- Damn, Sindri really should of brought up Broks soul thing sooner, probably could have been a big side quest to go and scoop out his last missing piece.
I figure it's a lot like the River Styx, it gets too far away to be retrieved. Similar to how Atreus could hear his mother's voice from the light in the last game and now he can't.
As tragic as Brok's fate is, it makes me worry even more about what will happen to Mimir in any future event. He was resurrected too, which means part of his soul is missing. Imagine if Kratos accidentally dropped him into a lake/river or a pool of lava or some asshole decided to crush his head. The man who's basically been like a brother to Kratos and an uncle to Atreus all these years will cease to exist.
Mimir had all his soul pieces when Kratos freed him from that indestructible tree. The piece Sindri couldn't get back from the lake of souls was brok's direction piece, which he needed for his soul to reach Alfheim. If something happens to mimir again, he will probably end up in helheim or Fólkvangr since he has all his soul pieces.
@player1 he's confirmed this. at one point in god of war 2018, atreus asks why freya wouldn't revive him like she did for mimir. Mimir replied saying he's very much dead and he was revived not ressurected. He also said freya wouldn't want this for her son.
I hate that sindri's story ends like this. such a tragic way to end his story for this, especially his friendship with everyone else, giving in to anger and resentment. that being said, his anger is understandable, since pretty much everyone took him for granted and it got brok killed.
48:15 Kratos got a reminder about the time he killed all the Gods in the greek pantheon and their deaths destroyed land, killed many people and wildlife but he didn’t give a damn as long as Zeus was dead.
My favorite part are the parts leading up to 5:00. Kratos waited until they were behind doors and Atreus says something before he goes in on Sindri, but he’s starting daggers at him 😂
Its interesting to know that information released by the developers shed some light on how Brok Died, He died after he was bitten by a Spider while trying to Craft the Weapon to counter Mjolnir, its sister weapon Leviathan. Brok needed the Axe to be Perfect in all the ways he could get it to be, But that Came at the Cost of him being bitten by the deadly Spider that crawled up his leg while he was trying to keep the leviathans steel heated properly for the right amount of time. So Brok not even knowing until just before his death in Ragnarok, he ended up Sacrificing his Life to insure that Leviathan when finished, could Match the power of Mjolnir.
1:10:16 i like how after atreus left for asgard brok is the only one besides the norns to call kratos on his bullsh*t atreus only went to asgard because kratos distrusted him, didn't want to help him find his answers, making atreus go search for them on his own, and accused him of going there had he believed in his son and helped, atreus wouldn't have left kratos to go to odin
I never really appreciated or paid attention to both dwarfs until Broc was killed. Now I’m going back and have a whole new appreciation for both of them
Atreus hurt sindri 3 times, one with words when he was child, one time physical when he turned to a Bear, and forgive but he didn't forgive Atreus when he brought his family to the danger
I get that they set up Sindri as being Atreus' best friend before Brok's death. But it's painfully clear there is a relationship imbalance even that early on. Sindri goes above and beyond to help, even when it puts him way out of his comfort zone, and all Atreus seems to do is mock and belittle him and complain he could do more. I get a bit of light hearted ribbing is common amongst friends but it feels really mean spirited.
You could tell at 2:06:35 that sindri nearly attacks kratos but realized he stood no chance and could never have revenge against the ones he felt was responsible for brok's death. and with that realization he stumbles off to be alone for what he feels like will be forever...
Right now, he's too consumed with self hate much like Kratos was in the very first game. Deep down, he hates and blames himself more for what happened to Brok.
I mean, there were LOTS of redflags as to where the story would end up in: 1) Sindri confessing Atreus the accident that got Brok killed (lorewise, its the venemous spider). We pretty much knew this would come back to bite him in the ass. 2) Brok starting to distrust "Tyr" during the dinner scene. 3) The introduction of a third dwarven blacksmith. Why would we need Lunda if we already have Brok and Sindri? Unless, of course: something would happen to them down the story. 4) Sindri starting to be annoyed by Atreus. 5) Sindri being reluctant to give Draupnir away. 6) Brok finally learning his soul was incomplete was a clear giveaway.
I'd like to think Sindri is begining to forgive Kratos and Atreus. It is evident in the funeral where he was not able to bring himself to lash out at Kratos.
Or perhaps in the sake of them being only in respect of brok he humors it enough until after the ceremony. Then he doesn't want to hear it leaving in self isolation.
This story shows it shoulda been a trilogy. Save Ragnarock for the third game. Would have made Sindri and his late arrival hit harder. Why did they choose to end this so quickly? 😢
Its possible given the writers clearly cared allot about the story that they didn't want to risk a "Middle child" kind of situation. It could have been one HELL of a gut punch ending if the game ended with Brok's death and Odin's declaration of war, but could easily have left players feeling cheated, given the build up.
@@BigJubble Just seemed like they might’ve been scared. They knew they would sell, why not make Norse a trilogy too? Two Thor fights, and one Odin? 😂🤣 remember how many times Kratos had to fight Zeus? Thrilling!
they chose to end it so early because they didn't want kratos to spend so much time in the Norse saga like they did in Greece. They felt it was too much time in Greece so they ended things with ragnarok while everything was fresh. After a while, being in a land without much to keep a game interesting makes it fall flat and sometimes stale. To remedy this, sagas are shortened into one big game as the last game in that saga and have many impressed.
kratos started his norse story sending off a loved one, and kratos ended his norse story the same way. Despite having happiness in your life, sorrow will always find a way in. Personally, when I go, I wish for my friends and family to be happy on my day rather than sad. To think of the good times, and to look forward on making change in my name, and for their own future. but enough of that, i just want to say WHAT ABOUT FREYR, HE ALSO DIED, WHAT OF HIS FUNERAL!?!?!?
His body was destroyed in the destruction of asgard. Atreus asked sigrun if she or any of the valkryies grabbed freyr while getting all the survivors out. They said he was lost to them so it means there was no body to salvage. Makes sense as he was at ground zero of an entire realm blowing up
What hurts so much at 2:06:34 is that Sindri is full of anger. The way he looks at Kratos, Clearly he wants to blame someone. But the real blame lies at Sindris feet. Yeah Odin killed Brok, but Brok was robbed of an afterlife because of Sindri. I once heard that people often become angry as a way to deal with sadness. Thats what Kratos did in greece when he attempted suicide after killing Olympus. Freya did that after losing baldur and now Sindri will do it. Watching a happy go lucky person become bitter and resentful is painful 😢
Considering the gods themselves don’t know what happens when they die, (despite Odin clearly having 4 soul pieces that you would think go to the light) there could be more mysteries in death than they know. Yeah it’s understood souls go to Hel, Valhalla or the Light when most die but it’s not like these characters haven’t changed things that were considered common sense. Maybe instead of non-existence they still go elsewhere! Yeah I know it’s grasping at straws and copium, let me have it, Brok was the best and his death was gutting!
I feel as though Brok was not just a mere friend to the characters in the world, but to those outside of it. Sure, he never spoke to us, the players, but we still had the opportunity to learn from the writers through this man speaking to these characters. And despite never having truly existed, I feel glimpses of mourning for Brok. I feel as though I myself lost a friend, a comrade, a man who sought truth in all things.
If anyone is curious of what that is, nokens are creatures that hang near swamps and pretend to be naked people to lure out it'd prey with disguised beauty. So to be considered juicy, someone would have to look vibrant and shiny with oil or water so he went naked in front enough elves all shiny calling it a juicy nokken.
Hopefully he doesn’t come back, not saying I don’t love the blue guy but it would take away from the impact of his fate if he were to suddenly “come back”. Plus it would go against some of the themes that the game is trying to display and explore, like learning to “let go”
Sadly I don’t think he can, Mimir told him that since he didn’t claim all 4 parts (direction) his soul will never find the light… would be cool if Sindri tried to play with Jotun soul magic, with Frankenstein consequences.
If you pay close attention- Sindri took his gloves off , don’t take my word for it but he may turn blue just like his brother. He may even take on his vulgar tone of voice & twisted sense of humor lol. At least he made one last weapon with his brother the same weapon that started a war. Those two never got the credit the were deserved, then again their work spoke for itself. #LongLiveBrok

Ngl, these brother's chemistry is something... They really compliment each other... Just like what Mimir said, their bickering is what made them known for, (aside from their work as blacksmith).
Yet, I still prefer Brokk. His enthusiasm, choices of words and laughs, which really make me like him more...
I love Brok and Sindri They are The Best Dwarfs ever
Ang dalawang duwende na mapagkakatiwalaan mo ng totoo
I didn't realize it was Brok's idea to take Kratos and Atreus in. He's a good dude. A very good dude.
I think he's reincarnated, not revived.
Mimir still has all of his soul pieces, I think
Mimir had all his soul pieces when Kratos freed him from that indestructible tree. The piece Sindri couldn't get back from the lake of souls was brok's direction piece, which he needed for his soul to reach Alfheim. If something happens to mimir again, he will probably end up in helheim or Fólkvangr since he has all his soul pieces.
when kratos and freya made their way to the norms, mimir remarked that he in fact cannot drown
We’ll miss you, Brok. Not as much as Sindri but we’ll miss you
Sin was grieving though.
@@789syrus789 It's why we understand and love.
Naw I’m miss my dude brok way more
This story hurt more than I ever thought it would. Well done writers. Well done
It’s a tad scary sindri has this tucked in him all the time but I was taught be weary of the people who are always smiling they can be beast
Seeing Sindri at the first & in the end makes me shred a tear.
It's such a shame that the bond that formed between Sindri, Kratos and Atreus was practically destroyed by Odin the all f-ker at the end of the game.
My favorite part are the parts leading up to 5:00. Kratos waited until they were behind doors and Atreus says something before he goes in on Sindri, but he’s starting daggers at him 😂
9:45, priceless segment lmao.
Ugh man, R.I.P Brok
who would've thought a simple riddle will the catalist for one of the most emorional scenes in gaming history
Sindri & Brok are the glue that sticks the family together
1:10:16 i like how after atreus left for asgard brok is the only one besides the norns to call kratos on his bullsh*t
atreus only went to asgard because kratos distrusted him, didn't want to help him find his answers, making atreus go search for them on his own, and accused him of going there
had he believed in his son and helped, atreus wouldn't have left kratos to go to odin
It makes me sad seeing how happy Sindri was at first and then seeing him completely broken and filled with grief towards the end
I never really appreciated or paid attention to both dwarfs until Broc was killed. Now I’m going back and have a whole new appreciation for both of them
Your comment is just sad and desperate
@@redskinsboy09 Are you a troll? That statement didn’t make many sense.
1:28:52 kratos coming in hot for the legendary lesson also i just realized that kratos really does listen to the advice he gets
2:06:35 The moment Sindri knows Kratos had a brother.
As much as I have issues with Ragnarok, the way they managed to make two comic relief characters so tragic was beautiful.
Wow. I already knew the answer to Brok's riddle but...wow.
You could tell at 2:06:35 that sindri nearly attacks kratos but realized he stood no chance and could never have revenge against the ones he felt was responsible for brok's death. and with that realization he stumbles off to be alone for what he feels like will be forever...
I hope we get a DLC or something for sindri to get closure. He’s not alone. He still has family to lean on, even if he doesn’t see it right now.
Right now, he's too consumed with self hate much like Kratos was in the very first game. Deep down, he hates and blames himself more for what happened to Brok.
@@irvinmorales1409Kratos came around, Freya came around, Sindri will come around too, he just needs time like they did.
I mean, there were LOTS of redflags as to where the story would end up in:
1) Sindri confessing Atreus the accident that got Brok killed (lorewise, its the venemous spider).
1:16 The fact this name calling comes back from Mimir in the final battle with Odin just makes the loss of Brok hurt that much more
"The All-Fucker" gotta love Brok
I'd like to think Sindri is begining to forgive Kratos and Atreus. It is evident in the funeral where he was not able to bring himself to lash out at Kratos.
Or perhaps in the sake of them being only in respect of brok he humors it enough until after the ceremony. Then he doesn't want to hear it leaving in self isolation.
It looks like The Lady of the Forge did bless it when she put her hands together right after Brok asked for the blessing.
This is my headcanon. Kratos is simply trying to make Brok feel better by asking for HIS blessing, even with an incomplete soul.
I love these two ❤. PS did I hear Kratos thank brok for the spear? The man thanked someone?
He thanked the squirrel too.
Damn. Seeing the intro takes me back Years ago when I watched everything god of war on this channel. Got me in some Vietnam flashbacks
Let’s gear you fu**ers up gets me every time 😂😂😂
1:18 the funny thing about his saying is this actually happened at his house
kratos started his norse story sending off a loved one, and kratos ended his norse story the same way.
Makes sense as he was at ground zero of an entire realm blowing up
1:33:34 KRATOS CALLED BROK "BROTHER"
31:45 I just realized something. Don't you think Kratos would've been like, "Hey where did all this new scrap come from boy?"🤣🤣🤣
fun fact: Kratos loves saying what people said right back at them
Brok is literally Dwarfed version of Kratos.
Lol not really he doesn’t have the discipline that kratos had beat into him
What hurts so much at 2:06:34 is that Sindri is full of anger.
“Well, Happy Ragnarok, everybody! Let’s drink.”
1:32 only time brok got scared 😂
Cheers man, i really going to miss brok, f-bomb for Odin
1:43:15 Moments before disaster
The wounds you have dealt to my spirit God of war Ragnarok will never heal.
3:55 Is that mushroom voiced by Grey DeLisle?

"Uh.. what is a 'juicy'-"
"*No*"
Lmaoo
If anyone is curious of what that is, nokens are creatures that hang near swamps and pretend to be naked people to lure out it'd prey with disguised beauty. So to be considered juicy, someone would have to look vibrant and shiny with oil or water so he went naked in front enough elves all shiny calling it a juicy nokken.
Kratos interrupted because he knows what it means 😂😂😂
(A juicy nokken means he was skinny dipping or a nickname for his inappropriate organ)
Darn he Odin killed brok . My favorite out of the two dwarfs
If Brok is not brought back to life I’m going to lose it
you are going to lose it
Hopefully he doesn’t come back, not saying I don’t love the blue guy but it would take away from the impact of his fate if he were to suddenly “come back”. Plus it would go against some of the themes that the game is trying to display and explore, like learning to “let go”
1:46:06 No. Brok has explicitly stated he doesn't want that; telling Sindri that he's "gotta stop. [He's] gotta let go."
Sadly I don’t think he can, Mimir told him that since he didn’t claim all 4 parts (direction) his soul will never find the light… would be cool if Sindri tried to play with Jotun soul magic, with Frankenstein consequences.
I'm thinking they will Sindri and Atreus will go find the missing soul piece and find Brok in Helhiem to get it to him to get to Alfhiem.
1:42:57
I couldn’t find it any else but here.
Brok’s the best.
2:04:24 This theme is so good...
1:10:07 ... damn, Brok passing SICK BURNS!
15:58 - Tavern's closed, social distancing lol 😋
1:10:15 Brok is a savage 😂😂😂 New customer loyality program
If you pay close attention- Sindri took his gloves off , don’t take my word for it but he may turn blue just like his brother. He may even take on his vulgar tone of voice & twisted sense of humor lol. At least he made one last weapon with his brother the same weapon that started a war. Those two never got the credit the were deserved, then again their work spoke for itself. #LongLiveBrok
killing Brok off was already bad enough, but Santa Monica really twisted the knife not giving him an afterlife. they hate us. 😂
57:40 kills me everytime xD
Atreus really out here during Fimbulwinter performing spinning roundhouse kicks.
2:04:52 really heart hitting 😢 😢😢
I hope Brok found his peace and I hope sindri will find his peace
when brok said crank that soulja boy i cried
13:27 No no, that's actually a really horrible concept to even think of i cant imagine walking all over cobblestones that have mouths
Even threw that quick standoff BRUHH wasn't gone stop the music 🎼🎼🎼
this broke my heart
1:32:46 what the hell ?
The blades of chaos was the spear for a moment
We need a pre god of war 4 game about brok and sindri working for Odin and making Mjolnir.
"That's it precisely."
lmao
44:50 guys.. . THATS FUCKIN ODIN!!!!!! EATING AT THE TABLE WITH THEM!!!!!
Boy if i was odin disguised as Tyr i would have so much trouble with those bigger limbs
3:55 huge moment
58:30 cuts really deep.....
57:38😂 FUCKLE
1000% sure that Sindri will become a villain.
That’s what made me hate Odin. How the fuck is Brok a bargain for a piece of shit like Heimdall? Insanely bad judgement.
