Woohoo! Nice seeing the first MC-10 using my board 🥳

So the "pro-tip" for the cable is to lay it on the motherboard where the RF out is, THEN fold ONCE to reach the board. 😉

The keyboard wires get worse! After time and possibly some heat, the two sides of plastic holding the otherwise bare wires in place become unglued. THEN things get far worse. But a guy on the MC-10 channel of the CoCo discord removed the original keyboard connector from the system board and replaced it with some through hole things with some length of 8 wire thingy. I don't know the terms! I just know that when I did what this guy did and replaced the wires on the keyboard, it works a LOT better and is a lot easier.
Also, there is some chatter about sound and the RGB2HDMI. I saw your use of adapters to inject sound which was good. But what if you used an a conductor ribbon cable and connected 6 to the back-tap board and the other two to sound so that it all passed out to the RGB2HDMI? There have been people who made some sort of changes to the RGB2HDMI stack to allow sound to be injected.
But there's another question of sorts. I didn't know this but apparently on the CoCo, sound can be accessed from the cassette port?? I didn't know this! That's incredible. But @CoCoNutBob says it's true! I'm not an expert like you guys are but it looks like the MC-10 is wired in a similar manner. This suggests for audio out, one only needs to create a cassette port wire or jack as a source for sound either to a speaker or to somehow inject to RGB2HDMI.
    Thoughts?

What does the keyboard side of those cables look like? Could 8-pin FFC be used? (CoCo style but split in two halves)

They are soldered into the board on opposite ends of the keyboard. In theory one could solder FFC connectors and make it work. That's the next challenge....

Is it possible to install a SMT pin header and cutting a hole in the bottom of the MC-10 case?

I'll have to check but I don't see why not.

The MC-10 is really close to the surface it's resting on so if you did want to have a permanent header installed it might cause it to crash into that surface once the cable is connected

@@rockyhill3 So you would need big feet to raise the MC-10 up a little higher.

Yes, I used the footprint of an SMD pin header.
I've thought about making v2 with a 10-pin header, CoCo 3 cable compatible
