    Truck of the day goes to... Flynn. Vitara was going nuts. Pretty good when your wheeling with 35" buddies and not making it look hard.

    Hi Tim, I've recently come across your channel an gotta say its great, I an my brothers do off roading in all sorts of vehicles too, I read the comments on the lro group from a while back an noticed a lot of negativity, you obviously don't worry about that an rightfully so, a lot of people here in the UK with landrover basically don't even know what there for haha and don't know what using the throttle ect is about, so keep doing what your doing mate 👍

      Can do, will be doing a waterproofing video soon, and to be honest, other than that, just keep it stock, have a good cooling system and keep up the maintenance!

      @@Crawlerer79 Since you previously mentioned putting the rear spacers up front, what about puting 1 inch taller coil springs front and rear, and not using the spacers?

    • @Crawlerer79
      @Crawlerer79  3 года назад +1

      Because I’m poor! The front springs will be replaced soon, and in the rear it only has a 6mm spacer which is more for fine adjustment, only other way to get the fine adjustments is to pull the springs and have them reset at a different height every time you make a change, and I don’t have that time or money! Nothing wrong with some small spacers!

    The blue Disco (father’s?) just idles along silently as it should. Lando is too noisy and an attraction for Karens to call police for hooning. I’d rather 4wd by stealth and drive ‘under the radar’ than draw unwanted attention to activities.

    Haven’t you Kiwi’s herd of snatch straps. What’s this rope business for recovery

    • @Crawlerer79
      @Crawlerer79  3 года назад +1

      Sure have, but in this situation rope was the better choice. In situations where there is flowing water (especially at the speed that the current was flowing in this video), a snatch strap will stand up on its edge and becomes incredibly hard to hold, on a long enough strap it can even pull people into the water. I always use a snatch strap where possible however in these conditions the rope has a lot less drag to hold and it far safer. On top of that, I don’t have enough straps to link together to span that crossing comfortably! Hopefully this answers your question!
