Looks like it works real nice. Here's my question, I ride a 2018 yz250 with a 19 inch rear wheel. My terrian is sand pits, gravel roads, granite covered in slimy wet moss and black topsoil, also hardwood forest. Pretty big mix. What tires do you recommend for hard enduro.
Thats a good question. Just about all extreme enduro riders are using an 18 inch rear tire. It sound like you ride an array of things. A hybrid like the ve33s would be great but it only comes in 18. If you are set on a 19 I would recommend the M5B Evo. Great all around tire.
In this video you referenced that there’s a particular set of parts you add to your bikes for every single one of your hard enuro bikes. Would you mind doing a video of all of those modifications and the why behind them?
I enjoyed your review and good luck this season. Regarding oil changes. Tokyo Offroad makes a great drain tube system for kTM and Beta. He may have one for Sherco. Would probably make one for you if he doesn’t already have one. Super nice guy. Can you compare the clutch to a Japanese cable actuated clutch...... Cheers
Great advice! A hydraulic clutch always has consistency compared to a cable clutch. But there is more moving parts which means an increased risk of failure. Everything has its pros and cons. Also the pull is usually less on hydraulic clutch compared to the regular cable.
Do you think the Kyb suspension actually makes you faster in the extreme enduro races or is just a nice upgrade. Also if your not a tire spinner could you get more than 10hrs out of a xo9 gekkota?
The KYB is more a nice upgrade. There are some improvement in certain situations, but it's really not the part of the bike taking time off extreme sections. We've done an episode on the wear rate of the IX09W no tire spinning and you can get over 15!
