I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
I just saw them live and it’s so weird how when you see a band, you like them that much more after. This song is fucking crack and so was the whole album
That was me with invent animate. I liked a couple of songs but once I saw them live I listened to most of their discography after. And I got to see Ben English do the vocals with Marcus since I was in their old home city. My brother’s band doing a song with Marcus also played a huge part in me getting into IA after Marcus’s incredible screams were shown off on their song. Still have yet to attend a Silent Planet show and I wish I could’ve during the Iridescent tour.
It's not weird, it's normal trust me I know I have been going to concerts since the late 1990s. Seeing a band live makes it more enjoyable to be a fan of the band, that's why I always tell hardcore fans you owe it to yourself to see your favorite bands at least once because a lot of the people who go to concerts don't even like the bands playing, they just want something to do or whatever. Sort of lame.
One of my favorite records of 2023, can't stop listening.

I love how odd their music is. Its kind of like Korn but in such a different way. So unique. So heavy. The breakdowns are always so damn good.

I think of them as industrial metalcore. Definitely more NiN to me than Korn, but I get where you're coming from.
Project star gate is insane and this song represents it with the utmost craziness and beautifully crafted poetry
I love these lyrics. Theyre about a search for meaning, purpose, and timelessness in a perpetually aging and irreversible universe. Chris Cramer never wrote entropy as a function of time because human beings can never learn to have perfect time perception. Chris Cramer taught that heisenbergs uncertainty principle is a human truth. We only know our state at the point we perceive, and the wavefunction collapses introducing uncertainty into our past and future. When the photon hits the pi bond in the molecule in the optic nerve, we know the energy but not the time. Therefore, we cannot perceive the time of the universe by the light. When sound causes vibrations in the ear, we cannot respond because the electrons in the brain that tell time require critical energies to travel through space, introducing uncertainty into the time.
God the vocal patterns and lines are absolutely gorgeous and fit this track in a way I can't even describe. This has everything and anything I love to hear in a Silent Planet song. Instant toping position on my favourite tracks list!

I've always loved what silent planet does as a christian metal band because they poke holes in what people think it's supposed to be. They always point out flaws in the orthodox philosophy, the hypocrisy, the pain caused.. They're unapologetically christian, but still so vocal against so many counter-intuitive things about it as a whole as well as the society within which the religion exists. Many other metal bands tend to throw stones on the entirety of the belief due to the actions and backwards belief of the orthodox. Silent planet understands the connectedness between the heart of true christianity and other systems. They're very philosophically mature, you can see the influence of many belief systems in their lyricism
