Hi Josh, you need to lower your compression as fzr's are running 12 to 1 by using a 2.5 mm base gasket which will take you down to 9 to 1, I melted my stock pistons by not lowering the compression and running it at 7psi so this is a must do! I have 1040 wiseco's in now and running at 9psi 👍, yes made plenum, headers and exhaust, used an aem wide band to set up air/fuel but it's running spot on with standard jets two of them are 122.5 and outer two 125's, malpassi fuel pressure regulator, car fuel pump, and running on standard carbs, let us know if you need any more info you can add me an Facebook and we can go from there👍
Are you running stock pistons? Did you make your plenum intake? I'm doing a turbo project for my fzr 1000 88 . What's your set up fuel pump, ecu wideband etc ..
Cheers, you have to get all the anodise off first with 100 grit paper on an orbital sander then keep sanding going from 100s to 600s maybe 1200s grit then polish with a mop and polishing soap 👍🏼 takes time but worth it 😉
@@bigdangerousdave77 I had to go the other way, i bought a swing arm for my 87 FZR off Ebay to brace up, but someone had polished it, hours with fine grit then scotch brite pads to get it back to the satin finish.😀

Samuel Brown yeah it ran 198 bhp , I set the Afr off the gauge you can see, but it seems stock jets were fine.
