    An Empire Citizen Talking to a Dwarf:
    Empire Citizen: Skaven do not exist!
    Dawi: Stupid Umgi.
    Empire Citizen: So what about the Chaos Dwarfs?
    Dwarf: What are you talking about?!? Want to leave this bar on a stretcher?!

    Thanks for answering my question.
    "Chaos doesn't necessarily mean that you are just under the four major powers, chaos means that you are under the tide of chaos"
    I see, although GW advertises their 'chaos' army books as being under Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch and Slaanesh.
    I think all the gods are somewhat chaos gods, from the Elven to Nehekharan pantheon. But it is more about how the four ruinous powers define themselves as the gods of chaos, while there is no proof that Hatshut or the Horned Rat call themselves chaos gods. It could be a more of a pride issue with those gods and they reflect there worshipers will for some form of order and purpose in the universe, but at the end of the day they are just beings of chaos.

      As an addition, the Chaos Dwarves do not call themselves that, they call themselves the Dawi Zharr. If I remember right I believe Zharr means fire so they would more correctly be called the Fire Dwarves. If that is wrong someone please correct me.

      You don’t even need to think it, you’re right in that regard. All gods are of the Warp, of Chaos, tho oddly enough for the “good/Lawful” races, their gods don’t seem to be as extreme or grimdark as the 4 ruinous powers or even any deity in 40K.
      Personally, I suspect that for Fantasy GW didn’t want it to be all Grimdark and hold onto SOME minuscule amount of their Tolkein inspiration to have a few deities that aren’t demanding constant blood sacrifices.

      The thing with gods and magic in Warhammer (Both Fantasy and 40K) is it has the "All Chaos is Magic but not all Magic is Chaos" kind of deal. All of the gods and magics draw power or come from the Immaterium/Warp and the Immaterium/Warp is not inherently evil, it just so happens that the Big Four hold sway over the portion of the Immaterium/Warp surrounding the world/galaxy of Warhammer so they have the majority of the influence over it.
      Long story short: All magic and gods come from the thing most people call 'chaos' but the 'chaos' part is really a slightly separate force that corrupts and influences it but can be filtered out (hence why people can do magic without being chaos worshipers in Warhammer).

    I'm not sure I agree that CA will add more Chaos Dwarf units, they actually have a huge selection. It's true the chaos dwarfs themselves have only 2 dedicated infantry units, but between weapon variants and Greenskins slave supplements they have a very full roster.
    If there is one thing their missing it's an elite infantry unit of non discraced warriors, but that's more of a lore point. Mechanicaly they have everything they need, and CA has favored crunch over fluff every time.
    But yeah, it would be nice to see chaos dwarf longbeards. In the novel Grudgebearer they have a unit of elites called Immortals which resemble ironbreakers in gear and tactics which would be nice to see. The infernalguard already fill that role though.

    I would really like to see some of those Ironskin Ogre units make it into the Chaos Dwarf unit roster as special mercenaries. I mean I heard about some Ironskin Ogres having full suits of chaos dwarf plate armor, and that would be pretty awesome to have.
    Those units could also be special RoR units for the Ogre factions as well, since there'd probably still be a bunch of at metal and armor lying around the Ironskin camps when you take them over.

    I find it hilarious that Wurrzag caused a slaughter of Chaos Dwarfs in their own capital.

    Howdy Loremaster - was just wondering if there has been any updated lore regarding Chaos Dwarfs/Legion of Azgorh in Age of Sigmar. I know Forge World has provided updated models and a skillbook that can be implemented allowing play as a full LoA army, but has anything further been developed into their role in AoS?

    If some theories are correct, and the realm of usurian and morr are the same, can the tomb kings raise non nehekarans into their old skeletal bodies for use in a tomb king army? For example, wasn’t the herald of Settra a non nehekaran, but he can be raised.

    Hi Sotek! Revisiting these videos after TWW3 announcement; thanks for the great content! So, I had a thought (apologies if these are stupid questions); if the chaos dwarfs need an endless supply of slaves, why don't they use necromancy to maintain their supply? Is this a religious thing (ie they have to dominate living beings to please Hashut) or is it impossible for them to use necromancy? If so, what stops chaos dwarfs/anyone else (elves for instance) who aren't human from using necromancy?

    I think that i remembered the tome Kings have one city with living people in it. What was it called? How do they live under their Dead kings/queens?

    • @DT-267K
      @DT-267K 4 года назад

      I assume they live as they would if their leaders in the city were still living, working to take care of themselves and supply their undead leaders with reasonable demands in return (gold, jewelry, clothing, entertainment, etc.), while the undead legions watch over and guard them from outside threats. From some mentions in the various lore I've read, I believe some of the more openminded necropolises even barter and trade with outsiders.

    Is there a limit to how big the tomb kings can build their constructs? Say for example if you had an amazing necrotect with an abundance of souls would the tomb kings be able to create titans or is their another factor stopping this from happening?

  • @richardround2071
    @richardround2071 6 лет назад +1

    Can tomb kings use the souls of nehekarans to animate normal human skeletons, like how they are used to occupy constructs, or can a soul only occupy their old body?

    Thank you for answering my question. Would have liked to play a rebbelion faction in TWW3 and destroy the chaos dwarfs. Also do you have any issues with games altering lore for their narative but not in a stupid way like for example Skaven being friends with Brettonia. Like making new units, items etc. Actualy you kinda answerd it

      The chaos gods kind of tried with Settra in the end times. I would assume so, but not very likely.

      We know that Chaos can corrupt everything but when Tomb King were “mummified” did the lich priest put some magical defense ? Do the TK even have a soul to sell to the Chaos God ?
      Also do we know of any magical user Tomb King?

    A chaos dwarf sorcerer probably won't ever win awards for speed among other dwarves, but they will murder most things in hands reach. Edit: Do you think that the chaos dwarves might have access to slave units like the skaven do?
