Nice. When I was in Germany the first time (1977) some local construction workers digging up a sidewalk uncovered a 1919 Reichsmark and just handed it to me. I kept it for years before giving it to a friend who collected. It was pretty beat up.
That is a very cool addition. I have not seen one before. The trade dollar is on my bucket list. I do own a 1799 8 Reale with chop marks though. My favorite silver coin in my collection to date. Lots of history in these old coins.
I know zero about foreign coins but do know there's a huge market for them. Heck probably even more than U.S. issues. I also am aware that there are a number of counterfeit Chinese coins out there as you mentioned. Hopefully yours checks out. Cold and rainy there 90 today in LA! haha Good thing you beat the heat up! Take it easy Scott and congrats on the early 1K subbs!
Is it wrong that I stole one of these coins from my auntie when I was 6 I had it till I was 14 then drilled a whole on it to put it on a chain lol same 1dollar dragon
I would not even waste my time with eBay they probably have thousands of coins and they're selling them at a certain price the only way you can get a real value is to send it to one of the auction places they will actually give you a proper value of your coin I try not to go to eBay because they always downgrade your coin and then sell it for a lot more
An interesting addition to my collection. Any of you know more about the Xuantong Dollar?

I think the chop marks are very interesting. Have some on the Trade dollar in my Dansco 7070
Very cool and interesting coin for sure. Just noticed you are about to break the 1K barrier! Congrats, that was fast👍
Thanks BCR. Never expected to come close to 1000. Appreciate you watching.

Thanks SS. I really like the big foreign silver coins like these. Need to add more to the collection
@@ScottUrbach Maybe a "fat head" in the future? Those are pretty cool to
@@silversurfer1986 great idea. I’ll look for one
Very interesting piece.
Thanks for watching PP
VERY COOL!
Thanks J. I had never heard of these until I stumbled across one.
I recently sold a few Xuantong Dragon Dollars for approximately $350 each.
Very interesting Thomas. Thank you for sharing.
There was a recently released restrike with .999 fine silver, if I am not mistaken. Those different chop marks would add value to coins of that era.
Thanks Skeptic. I appreciate the info.
I have one of this, how much it cost?
Silas - no idea how much it cost. My mom has had it for many years and has no idea where she got it
How much did it weigh got one of these at work from a customer trying to find somestuff about it but every source is just some auction page
David. I don’t recall exactly. I looked up the specs on Numista and weighed and measured based on their data. It was pretty spot on as I remember
Sir I have 6 coins like this but different value, different image rare, but I don't know the worth it
Six coins are a nice collection. Thanks for watching.

@@ScottUrbach I just asked my mom lol it was 8 years ago she took it away when she saw it on my neck
