An interesting addition to my collection. Any of you know more about the Xuantong Dollar?

Nice. When I was in Germany the first time (1977) some local construction workers digging up a sidewalk uncovered a 1919 Reichsmark and just handed it to me. I kept it for years before giving it to a friend who collected. It was pretty beat up.

David I have a few German coins in the collection but nothing that old. Thanks for watching.

That is a very cool addition. I have not seen one before. The trade dollar is on my bucket list. I do own a 1799 8 Reale with chop marks though. My favorite silver coin in my collection to date. Lots of history in these old coins.

I think the chop marks are very interesting. Have some on the Trade dollar in my Dansco 7070

I know zero about foreign coins but do know there's a huge market for them. Heck probably even more than U.S. issues. I also am aware that there are a number of counterfeit Chinese coins out there as you mentioned. Hopefully yours checks out. Cold and rainy there 90 today in LA! haha Good thing you beat the heat up! Take it easy Scott and congrats on the early 1K subbs!

There was a recently released restrike with .999 fine silver, if I am not mistaken. Those different chop marks would add value to coins of that era.

David. I don’t recall exactly. I looked up the specs on Numista and weighed and measured based on their data. It was pretty spot on as I remember

I would not even waste my time with eBay they probably have thousands of coins and they're selling them at a certain price the only way you can get a real value is to send it to one of the auction places they will actually give you a proper value of your coin I try not to go to eBay because they always downgrade your coin and then sell it for a lot more
