@morphman21 I went there. They now have a diamond on the excursion track and a guest locomotive, Polson Logging Company No.2, was borrowed from the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad (if i remember correctly) to test it since it's smaller unlike 4449. However, 4449 was inside the museum building for viewing foaming so it was available to walk right up close to it. She is a spectacular giant northern. PLC No.2 is adorable. She may be small but she could definitely manage the train. I thought the diamond was there until one of the staff explained why the logging engine was pulling and where it had come from.
@@brandonburnett5300 First of all, its far too big, second, what if it got lost like scotsman, and third they would have too add some british parts which are expensive to make
It did at one point wear a Southern Pacific 6 chime on a second whistle valve controlled by the fireman from around the time it started running for the American Freedom Train, but at some point in the early 90’s, said 6 chime is said to have been stolen right off of the engine whilst it was sitting in storage in the now demolished Brooklyn Roundhouse.
It did wear a 6-chime during its time on the SP and in early excursions. At some time during the 1990s her original SP 6-chime was stolen and a new Hancock 3-chime was fitted. No one knows where the original 6-chime is now.
That Hancock 3 chime is a Old GS-3 whistle, while the other one was given back to the loco it came from, and that 6 chime was a gift but it was stolen, plus it’s original Hancock 3 chime was stolen long ago when it sat in that Oregon Park before it was restored for the AFT @@SouRwy4501Productions
So beautiful! I got to hear her whistle at least 5 times while waiting for Amtrak Coast Starlight train 11 to pass
Sounds like TVRM 610’s Hancock 3-chime and I love it! Long-bell 3-chimes are the best!
Beautiful whistle
I prefer the older Northern Pacific 3 chime she used to wear from 1989 to 2009, I miss hearing it on videos!
Ditto
She had it in 1981 too
THANK YOU!!!! An opinion I can agree with!
👍
Cool train video.
I was there too from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM that day with my dad and my girlfriend.
Hope to see it agian on the holiday Express
Anyone else think that she's a very beautiful and pretty girl? And It's cool she runs on used motor oil

Apparently I think it’s not going to pull the holiday express train for this year sadly.
Your right
@@BobbyCase why is the old girl not pulling the holiday express?

I wish she can do mainline runs again😣😔😔😣😣😔
Wait, I thought she wasn't allowed to run anymore due to weight restrictions?
This was before the weight restrictions
Sounds like 610 and 1522
I believe thats actually an authentic GS class 5 chime home built by the SP.
It’s actually a Hancock flat-top 3 chime whistle. It’s very similar to the whistles used by Southern Railway Ps-4 passenger engines.
@@SouRwy4501Productions interesting
Sam: thanks
She needs to visit the uk😊
Unfortunately, it can’t do that
😢😢😢
Is she still able to pull excursions?

True
I thought it had a 6 chime?
The internet says 3 chime
@@BobbyCase yep my apologies, after further research it says 3 chime. Thanks for the clarification
